There’s something about her remoteness that really puts her in the running for most beautiful. Most actors and actresses want it all so much — the awards, the interviews, the cameras aimed at them — that they lose their mystery and begin seeming petty and grasping.

She’s genuinely disinclined to do that part of the job, but she does it, and without being a jerk about it. It makes her really appealing to me.

I love Brooke for aging naturally. She looks great. She gets my vote as the most beautiful woman who ever lived.

I agree that Pfeiffer is one of the most beautiful actresses ever and I also agree with the poster who said that part of her appeal is her remoteness and disinclination to seek publicity. Cinematically she excels at playing fragile beauties (not Jessica Lange/Vivian Leight verge of a psychotic break fragile, but vulnerable with a history of past hurts fragile), my only issue with her is that she never attempted to move outside of mainstream Hollywood fare with her choices as she could have really excelled, similar to Kidman, in more experimental indie films. She has more range than Nicole,who excels at playing similarly fragile beauties (though her characters are more brittle), so she could have done much more than she has. She's proven to be strong at comedy and her Catwoman is iconic.

Agree r74. I love her Catwoman the best out of any of them. She played that part exquisitely - the metamorphosis from being a frazzled doormat of a woman to finally losing her shit and becoming Catwoman. Her portrayal of CW is equal parts dangerous and sultry.

Brooke Shields has such thick eyebrows that she could afford to tweeze 3 millimeters from the underside and STILL have full brows. That would free up some space between her eyes and her eyebrows.

Even without before and after photos, sometimes a nose job is just obvious. The bridge area (between the eyes) sometimes is not in harmony with the tip. Doctors back then were so focused on making the tip of the nose small and upturned.

Before Garbo, beauty was defined by figures like Clara Bow or the Gibson Girl—curvy, feminine, and pretty pretty. Garbo, on the other hand, was thin, handsome, flat-chested, and louche, a completely new ideal of beauty. Just look at the models on today’s catwalks, many are variations of Garbo.
