Since we are all anonymous here, spill it! What made it a horrible company?
What is the worst large company you’ve worked for?

Truly- I am working for them now- Absolute fucking EVIL.
And due to a court case of wrongful termination- I viewed (paid for) the files on Pacer and now know what the people in my department make-
It killed my spirit.
These people are fucking EVIL.

One of the big-five publishing companies. The idiotic management and backstabbing coworkers made for a terrible environment.

Large companies that are bought up by larger companies are a major fuck-up. At first I was relieved I was among the 60% of the acquired company that was being retained and to keep the same position. But I found out one week after the merger was official that I will not only be in charge of the two same units in both companies, but that they have separate policies and procedures and separate customer database core systems and other related systems that are siloed apart. My understanding when I accepted the role was that the person managing on the other company will remain in that role until the databases and systems were converted into new combined co-existing systems. That part of it changed. Effectively my already very demanding job responsibility doubled, making me in charge of two roles that each required my on-hand involvement. I basically was doing two separate full-time jobs without either the needed manpower on either side, or my ability to manage them effectively. I was working 11-13 hours a day , weekends, and taking none of my vacation days, and I still could not keep up. Senior management would not listen to my requests to hire more employees, even temp ones, basically telling me I need to work smarter, not harder, which I could not do with the tools and resources I was given. It was humanly impossible for one manager to do what I was expected. It was affecting both my physical and mental health, I knew it was a matter of when, not if, I would resign. I ended up resigning after 8 months, which was longer than I thought I would last. Being I was in my sixties, I was hoping to work at least another 3-4 years and retire, but now I am looking for a new job.

Colbyco.
The CEO kept dramatically swanning around the offices in her Nolan Miller turban firing everyone. It was so unsettling.

I worked for a large company that makes a very popular tax software. Obviously, with large companies, people‘s experiences will be vastly different depending on which department they work for, but there tend to be a lot of extremely toxic and evil female managers at this company. We had one take over our department and everything went to shit.
The really weird thing about it was that they told me they were firing me for a “poor performance,” but then they offered me a severance, which I thought was a little suspicious. Anyway, my lawyer got me a bigger severance.
