Never mind that his “friend” Netanyahu and the entire Israeli military and intelligence system have been doing that for 13 months. On January 21, 2025, Trump will take credit for destroying Hamas in Gaza, as if he did it in one day.

Trump does only 4 things: lie, bully, take credit for the work of others, and play golf. He doesn’t actually work. You see, that’s his definition of being “Smart,” because he’s a fucking moron. It’s how this moron gained favor with his father and grandfather, thereby inheriting millions of dollars and the family business.

Let’s see if the hostages are released. Then someone will earn credit. And who the fuck cares who earns credit if hostages are released?

US voters cared a great deal when the Iranian hostages were released shortly after Reagan took office in 1981, because Carter “failed” to do so more than a year after the hostages were taken. It contributed to Carter’s landslide loss in 1980 and made Reagan a hero early in his first year in office. That good will contributed to the acceptance of Reaganomics, which in part has brought us to where we are today 44, years later.

This should end well.

By the way, i think what Republicans are doing now is Reaganomics on speed. It’s what Reagan and his henchmen really wanted, but the Dems were stronger in those days, the average American was smarter, and more had union jobs.

Most importantly, it takes people who have no empathy for anyone but themselves to achieve full tilt Reaganomics, because you have to be a monster to be able do that to other people. I think that is why Trump and his cronies are all despicable: you have to prove that you readily abuse other people without any sense of remorse. What we consider deplorable is a badge of “honor” to them.

I can't stand Trump and I 100% agree with the ICC that Netanyahu is an outright war criminal. But, you know, if through his bluster and threats, Trump brings an end to the enormous suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and secures the release of the remaining Israeli hostages, I will give him credit. I might do it through gritted teeth, but I hold out some tiny shred of hope that his enormous ego will ensure that he pressures Netanyahu (and what remains of Gaza's leadership) to bring this awful war to a close.

Nothing Trump does is going to resolve the conflict or bring peace and prosperity to the region.
