Tom Sandoval bids farewell to “Vanderpump Rules”

That's a wrap on the Vanderpump Rules we used to know, and the series new arch villain Tom Sandoval along with it.

Last week, Bravo announced that the hit reality series and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spinoff will do a complete cast swap-out, a la Real Housewives of New York, following the earth-shaking drama of season 11. Tom Sandoval, the hunky SUR bartender who'd been a series regular since season 1, was at the epicenter of the drama, and has finally addressed the show moving forward without him, or any of his former castmates.

"Where do I begin… I’m overwhelmed with so many emotions right now," he wrote on a Nov. 30 Instagram post. "The unbelievable series of events that brought this group together still blows my mind to this day. From a random meeting with [Jax Taylor] while modeling in Miami, to responding to a Craigslist ad for another Tom looking for a roommate. Who would’ve thought that a stop along the way while chasing our dreams would turn into the cultural phenomenon that is Vanderpump Rules."

Sandoval continued, "We were unaware as to the effect this show would have on our lives. The foundation of Vanderpump Rules was built on pure honest raw emotions… triumphs, struggles, and love that happen between a group of real friends and our relationships. As soon as we started filming s--- got real and never turned back. It’s been a roller coaster ride and you’ve been with us though every step of the way."

The reality star thanked the network; Lisa Vanderpump, the former RHOBH cast member around whose West Hollywood restaurant the spinoff revolves; and the crew "who busted their asses with us in the trenches." Most of all, Sandoval expressed thanks "to each and every fan, THANK YOU ALL for believing us and being part of this 12 year journey.... Despite the difficulties, I’m filled with gratitude for the learning experience and forever grateful for all of the memories."

Tom Schwartz understands why Vanderpump Rules went through an overhaul — but he doesn't like the toxic ending for the original cast.

"I'm at peace with it. I kind of knew [the announcement] was coming. But I don't necessarily love the way [season 11] ended," Schwartz, 42, exclusively told Us Weekly at the grand opening of Pinky’s by Vanderpump at the Flamingo Las Vegas on Thursday, December 5. "It was a little heavy, a little toxic, a little fractured."

Schwartz argued that there should have been "one more season" with him, Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Lala Kent, Katie Maloney, Scheana Shay and James Kennedy before Bravo introduced a new group to take over.

"But I mean, the network made the right decision, I guess," he continued. "And we got 11 seasons. That's insane. I'm so grateful for that. So I have nothing to gripe or complain about. It was probably 11 of the best years of my life. I got to travel the world. And yeah, man, it was exhilarating."

Schwartz has been feeling "nostalgic" and "sentimental" since news broke that he wasn't coming back for season 12, adding, "I still talk to everyone — mostly everybody. Everyone's thriving, everyone's doing their thing."

After season 12 was previously put on pause due to tension between the current cast, Bravo confirmed in November that production begins next year with Lisa Vanderpump and a new group of servers from her SUR restaurant in Los Angeles.

Schwartz, Kent, 34, and Shay, 39, however, are expected to make appearances on season 2 of the Vanderpump Rules spinoff The Valley.

"I pop in. You'll probably see some cameos," Schwartz teased to Us on Thursday. "I hang out with all those people."

The Vanderpump Rules news came days after Schwartz and Sandoval, 42, announced that they were closing their bar Schwartz & Sandy’s. The duo have cited the fallout from Sandoval's cheating scandal with Rachel Leviss — and subsequent split from Madix — for causing a decline in business.

"It's been challenging. I'm honestly walking away proud. I gave it my all — we gave it our all — we really did. We put our hearts and souls into that venture and we had some real good times and I learned a lot," Schwartz explained on Thursday. "And we're trying to finish strong. We decked it out, we decked the halls. It's all holidayed out. And we're still available for holiday bookings."

He continued: "Honestly, I want to say thank you to everyone. The outpouring of love in the past two weeks since we made the announcement has been insane. Like, it's packed right now, so it's kind of bittersweet. But, yeah, I guess good things come to an end."

While Schwartz's business venture with Sandoval is wrapping up, he is still involved in TomTom with Vanderpump, 64, and her husband, Ken Todd. Schwartz showed support for Vanderpump on Thursday when he attended the opening of Pinky’s, her newest establishment in Las Vegas.

"By choice, I don't know anything about it. I love the element of surprise. I wanna walk in and I know it's gonna be f---ing gorgeous. Extravagant, bespoke, epic visuals, all that good stuff," he shared with Us. "But I haven't seen any sneak previews. I haven't even seen the digital rendering. I don't know anything. And that's the way I like it."

Who did Sandoval pay, suck off or fuck for the addition of "the hunky SUR bartender who'd been a series regular since season 1" in that article?

Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval informed an L.A. judge that he will be representing himself in court as part of Raquel Leviss’ invasion of privacy lawsuit after parting ways with his lawyer, In Touch can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Tom, 42, filed a substitution of attorney notice in the ongoing legal battle involving Raquel, 30, and his former girlfriend, Ariana Madix.

Tom said that his attorney, Varand Gourjian, from the law firm Gourjian Law Group, will now longer be working on the case.

Varand and his partner Tara Karamians had been working on the case for months.

Previously, Tom had another lawyer, Matt Geragos, working with Varand and Tara.

However, Tom and Matt cut ties after Matt filed a countersuit against Ariana, 39, in the case that he claimed he was not fully informed about.

As In Touch previously reported, Raquel sued her ex-fling Tom and Ariana. Raquel and Tom had an affair while Tom and Ariana were in a long-term relationship and living together.

Ariana found explicit videos of Raquel on Tom’s phone, which Raquel claimed Tom recorded from their FaceTime chats without her consent.

In her lawsuit, Raquel said she believed Ariana had shared the videos with third parties. Tom and Ariana have denied all allegations of wrongdoing. The court has denied their attempts to dismiss the case.

Ariana recently filed an appeal of that decision. The appeal is pending.

Now, Tom is currently without legal counsel. His notice to the court explicitly stated he will be representing himself moving forward. He also notified Raquel and Ariana’s legal team of the decision.

As In Touch previously reported, Ariana told the court she never shared the videos with anyone. “I did not send the videos to anyone else. Nor did I share, display, or show the videos to anyone else,” Ariana told the court. “To be clear, I only saw the video of [Raquel] … in places secluded from others.”

In a declaration submitted in court opposing Ariana’s attempt to dismiss the claims against her, Raquel said, “It is not just that [Ariana] had discovered the recordings and confronted me about their contents. If that were all that happened, [Ariana] would not have been named in this lawsuit. But that is not all that happened.”

She added, “[Ariana’s] implication that my mental health struggles were brief in duration or minor could not be further from the truth. I was in a state of extreme distress as a result of the events described in the lawsuit, and I entered treatment in an extremely dark and scary place mentally. My symptoms included severe emotional distress, physical manifestations of such distress, anxiety, shock, embarrassment, loss of self-esteem, disgrace, humiliation, powerless, sleeplessness, nightmares, and loss of enjoyment of life.”

I have no use for this guy but I would absolutely watch this trial if he’s defending himself. Christopher Guest couldn’t imagine this.
