Some young actors are able to parlay their initial stardom into long careers. Peter Barton was not one of them, though he had the looks and was offered the lead in The Powers of Matthew Star, beating out other actors like Tom Cruise. Barton, now 68 and never married, was in demand in the 80s, but then . . . nothing. He retired from acting after a couple of stints in soap operas. Was it a question of talent, or lack of ambition? He definitely had the looks.
Oh, I remember that guy! He was a good-looker for sure.
Maybe he just decided the acting life wasn't for him.

Barton's a total MAGAT.
He daughter finally convinced him to cut his last year, but he looked like this for quite some time. Wackadoo.

Articles at the time (2013) said a house and land was the main asset; there was also some cash. But the house itself was described as a "filthy mess" inside.
Barton had to split this with the other actor named in the will (Kevin Brophy) and the report indicated that after the property was sold they'd each probably end up with around half a million.

He does have some glorious tresses. And crazy eyes.

He should come out, not that anyone would care at 68. Who is his daughter from?

Too much or too little intensity of expression in the eyes indicate something is off.
This 1 has too much intensity of expression. I don't recall him as a teen idol, I recall him as a soap star who was 10 times prettier than the women who starred with him.
He couldn't act.

R12 Here's an old photo of him with the mother and daughter. He doesn't tag his photos, so don't know who she is.
And she's still in the picture. Next photo shows the two of them when the daughter was going to prom last Spring.

An article about him at WRGB CBS 6 News, Albany (from 2020) indicates he's been living in the Saratoga Springs area for quite some time. His parents were also residing in the area.
Records show it's an 1100 sq ft, 2 bdrm 1 bath house with over 2 acres of land that went for $150K in 2012. He then inherited the $500K the following year. One imagines he just sits back and lives off investments. And in-between spewing his MAGAT and anti-vax bullshit, he plays A LOT of golf.

Another disappearance. Greg Bradford was an absolute beauty. Made it into a couple of movies and was in the Chippendales calendar. Last role looked like 1986.

April Lerman of Charles in Charge was a very lovely teen actor who also had a damn good brain on her--quit acting to become a clinical psychologist (after graduating from Pepperdine Law and being admitted to the California Bar).

R14, some people like this are considered by society to be “losers” so what better person to feel a kinship with than Trump if you’re feeling like society has it in for you?
I don’t feel mental illness or lack of perceived “success” makes someone a loser. But many in our shallow culture do. Now if that same person votes Trump, well that is a loser move.

R23 Bradford started working as a camera operator for straight porn, usually using the name "Montel Bradford." Some of the films he worked on are even listed at his Greg Bradford IMDb listing. He also composed music for such films. The projects of this type that you can find are dated late-90s and early-00s. It may be hard to tell how long he did this for, because camera operators aren't always credited. "Montel" went on as the director of no less than two known softcore straight flicks. One blog says he was sometimes used the alias "Manuel Bradford" and may have even done work under the name "Rolf Hanson."

In the late 80s, I had a crush on Matthew Newmark from the show “Paradise.”
He had problems with alcoholism and joined a sober living community for a few years. Now he’s working with his dad at the family business, Newmark Yacht Sales in Manhattan Beach.
I also loved the younger boys from “Valerie.” Danny Ponce works behind the scenes and the other is out of the business.

It wasn’t the 80s (and he wasn’t a teen), but I thought Knots Landing’s Boyd Kestner was hot as hell — I expected his star to rise.
