I never knew there was such a thing as a "kept" lesbian until I moved to FL. This adorable young (mid-20's) baby butch was being kept by a rich realtor. And the realtor wasn't bad looking -- just in her early 60s.

I also knew an older lesbian nurse (again, not unattractive) who had her own business contracting out visiting nurses to the elderly. As you can imagine, in Florida, she was swimming in money. I knew somebody who knew her, and I was invited to a party at her place (on the beach, of course). She had a bevy of beauties there all frolicking by the pool. I couldn't believe it. I never knew there were lesbians who lived like George Clooney! She took me out in her massive boat, and even let me "drive" it, but I'm not good with boats and asked her to take me back.

I would never be comfortable as a "kept" woman. Oh well.

You see that sometimes. There's no lingo for it. It's just an older lez with a younger lez. The dynamic is always that the younger one is from a fucked up background and the older one has money.

While I realize exceptions abound, the dominant stereotype of daddy-boy relationships is that daddy is the top. Does this hold true for women in mommy-girl, relationships, or is it the opposite?

I attended a women’s college, and my gaydar was constantly in overdrive. The Philosophy Department was home to a well-known, attractive professor who was quite charismatic. She was also a lesbian and wore her signature lavender clothing no matter what.

Young lesbians latched onto her, spent a great deal of time in her office, and were invited to dinner parties at her home. In my early twenties and newly out, I was one who joined her entourage and had a huge infatuation with her for a bit. I was invited to and attended one of her very entertaining dinner parties.
