Is Clueless' Legacy Shot to Shit?

No Op it’s not. Two crazy lead actresses doesn’t ruin its legacy. It’s weird about Alicia Silverstone because she used to be so staunchly liberal, like a contemporary hippie.

None of those people were those things at the time, so why should it matter? It doesn't take anything away from the film.

Just about every young actor grows up to be a right-wing loon or a drug addict. You can't cancel everything they ever did for that reason.

R1, I've known a couple of crunchy progressive hippie-types who have become ultra conservatives. They still have long hair but are now Fox News-watching Trump voters. I really don't get it.

Stacey Dash wasn’t a MAGA, just a Republican. Remember she hit the scene during Romney’s campaign. But she also was saying a lot of wild shit about blackness like how black people shouldn’t celebrate black achievements throughout history.

I say I had zero idea that Stacey Dash was MAGA, nor do I care; Alicia's far-left anti-vax stance is unfortunate, but not even in the same ballpark as anything akin to QAnon; and a single star from the movie dying under unusual circumstances doesn't affect its legacy.

If you want pop entertainment with tortured legacies, try "Glee" or "Diff'rent Strokes."

It’s funny how all the guys ended up having better careers than the gals. For one, Stacey Dash was damn near 30 when they filmed Clueless. Alicia Silverstone got “fat” before thick white girls became fashionable. I do think Brittany Murphy would have been a huge star. Solid actress with great eyes and a sort of realness with her.

No. It still mostly holds up, and the dialog is part of culture now.

I’d still eat Breckin Meyer’s ass.

It was an encapsulation of middle-90s culture and transcends the messy lives of the lead actresses.

It was a perfectly fun little movie.
