I’m moving there from flyover territory next month and I’m looking for the best gym to workout and catch some eye candy, maybe some extra action. After research, I’m leaning towards Equinox or Crunch. I’ll be living in Tribeca and working in the UWS. Any suggestions?
NYC Gays, Which gym do you go to?

Don't move to NYC, doll. They're closed.

It really comes down to where you live or work OP - what’s near the location that will be easier for you to be consistent. Pick something that’s an easy walk from either, or less ideally, make it convenient along the subway line you use to get to work. The next issue is price point - Equinox is a thousand times nicer than Planet Fitness - and a hundred times more expensive. What can you afford? Blink is most likely going out of business.

Beware of trolls and their seemingly innocuous polls.
Come on, guys, even Stevie Wonder could see what's behind this one!

Chelsea Piers isn’t convenient to many but, if it is, it’s a great space.
It’s the rare gym with lots of windows/natural light.
And none of the attitude you’ll find at equinox.

NYSC and Crunch are cheap, but usually run-down with broken equipment that never seems to get repaired. My NYSC on the upper west side had a sign on the steam room from the health department saying that suspicious liquids found on the floor were being investigated. Gee, I wonder what they were.

I went to Clay when I lived there and it was amazing. I think it’s called Complete now?
