Is it Frigid Where You Live?

I'm in coastal Georgia and I woke up to 27° this morning. It's up to 46°now and predicted to get up to 53°. And the same for tonight. Last week it was in the mid 70s almost every day.

Welcome to the sunny warm south!

20° in Chicago, feels like 7°.

by Anonymousreply 1November 30, 2024 4:08 PM

I’ve been frigid for years.

That's what Georgia gets for voting for Trump.

I hope it gets down to -5F and the entire state loses power.

Make that, I hope ALL OF THE SOUTH loses power.

Serves you all right.

Phoenix here. 50ish at sunrise and afternoon highs in 70s.

by Anonymousreply 4November 30, 2024 4:13 PM

Luckily we’re still in a drought in New York (or it would be snow)

by Anonymousreply 5November 30, 2024 4:18 PM

I'm freezing to death at 58 degrees. Have my heat set to 65, because I can't afford to keep it warmer and the jalousie windows leak like a sieve. Something else I was going to have replaced after Kamala was elected (sigh).

[quote] Serves you all right.

Even those of us (and there are plenty) who voted for Harris? Do you wish the same for the people in your state who voted for Trump, or are you just on a brainless tear this morning.

Oh -- and I live in the Ocala National Forest, here in sunny Florida.

by Anonymousreply 8November 30, 2024 4:26 PM

Chilly here in DC, bu not bad - 35 last time I looked an hour or so ago.

by Anonymousreply 9November 30, 2024 4:30 PM

It’s cold and snowy

by Anonymousreply 10November 30, 2024 4:30 PM

Your evenings will be in the 30s be early next week, R8.

Brrrr!

I didn't even know it got that cold in Florida.

by Anonymousreply 11November 30, 2024 4:33 PM

It was 22 yesterday evening in Michigan. I haven’t been out today but there are a few stray flakes and snow on the ground so it can’t be much warmer.

SW Ohio sitting at 30f in the sun.

Got the wood stove going in the kitchen. Just re-insulated the attic two weeks ago. One of the best things I ever did.

Down to 30°F last night and I’m enjoying the cold as I’m perpetually hot natured.

by Anonymousreply 15November 30, 2024 10:58 PM

Currently 21 degrees but feels like 7 in Southeastern Wisconsin. I prefer colder weather, but come on.

by Anonymousreply 16November 30, 2024 11:08 PM

Arctic blast moving thru, r16

All week cold and snowy. As of right now

by Anonymousreply 17November 30, 2024 11:45 PM

Not as frigid as me.

by Anonymousreply 18November 30, 2024 11:51 PM

No, not frigid. Ask again in January.

by Anonymousreply 19November 30, 2024 11:54 PM

This is a pic of the windshield of my old truck in March, 2018. So hell, yeah, it gets cold north of Orlando! There are even trees in my neighborhood that change color this time of year.

I bundle up, for sure.

Yes. 34 now in Brooklyn (7PM). I was surprised how bone chilling it was when I went out at 4 PM to go to some grocery stores.

Feels like like we went straight from summer to winter. We had fall for what, three weeks? It was 80 degrees on Halloween.
