Norton comes from a philanthropic family—I think possibly billionaires. Does anyone remember when he dated Courtney Love? I can only imagine how much those two fought.

R15 that family was not close to being billionaires. His grandfather was one of the great urban planners in history and he built a multi billion dollar company but neither he nor Nortons dad was close to being billionaires.

That family though was all about giving and helping others. That is very true. A very blue dem family that actually did shit not just talk a lot.

He was ok in a few films but certainly not on De Niro's level.

The movie where he played a magician was really good and the soundtrack was sublime.

Wes Anderson uses him frequently, so I guess Norton doesn't act up on those sets. But those roles are generally not big.

You can get away with being an asshole in this industry, but if you've a massive asshole, you have to be making people money and Edward Norton never drew a dime.

Norton still gets work, but being a huge asshole and not backing it up regarding the bottom line, put a massive dent in his career. He could've been a DiCaprio.
