I for one am relieved since I know many green-skinned people who have been traumatized by discrimination.

Are people so stupid you now have to give them trigger warnings about a metaphor for racial discrimination?
"This metaphor is here specifically so we can show how bad discrimination and forced isolation are without actually showing anything that will offend any specific person." This has been understood ever since at least Jonathon Swift.

You can watch a movie where people get hacked to pieces, and the movie will come with a warning about smoking.

It's also worth asking if are so stupid to take right wing talking points that mischaracterize the situation, and then choose to amplify them rather than critique them.
There is no "trigger warning" for offense to people with green skin. It is the British film classification board justifying the film's rating by talking about skin color in general terms. To find this so-called trigger warning, you would need to visit the board's website, look up the title and read the information.
It is hardly far fetched for someone watching a green-skinned person face discrimination in a film drawing a parallel to discrimination faced in the real world, and if discrimination is a factor in determining a film's rating, then that is hardly a scandal.
No wonder the right wing is finding success with "anti woke" hysteria when left-leaning people take the hysteria and run with it without applying any critical thinking skills whatsoever.

R9 The bigger point is: why are trigger warnings needed in the first place? Why is the young generation so fragile that they canāt handle anything without a thorough explanation and then being coddled?
