Pam Ferris as Aunt Marge in “Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban” was fantastic.
If they gave Oscars for single scene or very brief performances, who should have won?

Harvey Korman in High Anxiety, where Mel Brooks& Harvey are visiting a patient who fears werewolves.
Harvey Korman in that scene is a comic genius& the patient freaking out is comic gold; Harvey with the plastic vampire teeth-shooting paperclips at the patients neck. It's still hysterical 100 years later.

R17. Eileen Heckart got an Oscar nomination for The Bad Seed, but lost to Dorothy Malone (apples and oranges). Heckart did get the Golden Globe. Sixteen years later she got her Oscar for Butterflies are Free. Never won a competitive Tony, but got an Honorary one near the end of her life. Always the best thing. In any show or film.

[quote] The ensemble work in Lone Star is close to flawless, including an amazing one-scene cameo by Frances McDormand, who delivers a pent-up, fluttering performance as Sam's football-fanatic ex-wife Bunny (the near-rhyme with Buddy is very intentional) that's 180 degrees from her role in Fargo.
