Since gay actors now play gay roles….
Has there been any hit movie about a gay character?
When straight actors were allowed to do these roles, the movies became cultural events—Philadelphia, Brokeback Mountain, Longtime Companion.
I don’t believe there’s been a hit gay movie since gays started playing the main roles

My movie would've been a monster hit if you gays weren't so self-loathing!
IT WAS OSCAR MATERIAL!

Not sure how you define "hit" (your original list includes LONGTIME COMPANION), but certainly these movies from recent years have gotten a lot of attention:
TÁR YEAR OF THE DOG SALTBURN CALL ME BY YOUR NAME BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY THE WHALE

R3, those include gay people but the main characters aren’t played by gay actors

r4 That's the point. OP is delusional, because there are no gay actors playing gay roles.

Well, not out gay actors, anyway, R4. Likewise Brokeback Mountain.

John Cena’s roles are all gay-adjacent…

The remake of Boys in the Band were all gay actors, some very well known.

I recently watched on Netflix the lovely “Bros”, with an entirely all-gay cast, including dreamy Luke MacFarlane. It was surprisingly good.

R10, I would say it was surprisingly bad, considering all the publicity for it

Nothing worth watching i.e. not a drama, not about disease, not about politics, not a rom-com.

Gay men cease to be interesting after coming out. That’s why Edge of 17, Beautiful Thing, and Love Simon were fine. They captured the coming out. After that, who gives a shit?
And lesbians were never interesting to begin with.
