Really?
those pics don't do it justice. Yes it's expensive but it's many acres in a spectacular setting, close to the city. Unfortunately, the interior has been stripped a bit too much of its historic details.

That striped dining room is abominable.

Probably comes with a ton of acreage. People forget that the land is where the big money is, not the house.

I love the grounds but I'm with R2, that dining room paint job makes as much sense as the Jaguar re-brand.

There's something else going on here - she bought it for $4 million in 2011. While I know that was 13 years ago - prices don't go up 600% - not matter how much money she poured into it.
I don't care how it's furnished - it doesn't come with the furniture. Most of it is fine - but the kitchen is tiny and there aren't enough pics to go by.
This feels like some kind of money laundering deal.

13 acres and it's got that relatively small footprint and is built up four stories? Looks ridiculous. I don't think there's a view, even from the 4th floor.

Thank you r1! I wondered how many acres it sat on. I have friends with a newer build on 2 acres,10k sf house and theirs was $7m

I wonder if half the "mansion" was destroyed. This seems like a wing still standing. There is no statement front or rear facade.

The washer/drier in the kitchen is not a good sign.

Ok - the lot size when she bought it was 6.29 acres. The land-only lot of 4.88 acres south of her was purchased last year for 2 million. I presume she purchased that.
That still leaves you with a little over 11 acres, not 13 like it says. Probably fudging the numbers. It is NOT riverfront acreage - just woods.
If the land is going for $400K to 500k per acre around there (based on $2 million price for 4.88 acres) - there's still NO WAY of justifying this cost. Like I said - something fishy with this purchase price. It's money laundering of some sort.
Here's a listing literally right behind her - closer to the water. It's much nicer - although 3,000 sq ft less and much less land.
Lock this bitch up. A crime has been committed. Nothing in that area is over $5 million. Someone overpaid by at least $12-$15 million.
