The American justice system is a fucking joke.
The loathsome piece of shit Trump got away with it all

This is my frustration as well, particularly as all the media do their post-mortems and talk about the lessons the Democratic Party needs to learn from this election, conversations that of course don't include any mention of the media's culpability and the Republican party for normalizing Trump.
Fellow ignorant, uneducated and selfish Americans, the media and the Republican party have failed the country and failed all of us.
They ought to be ashamed. And the shame and disgust outweigh the thanks this holiday weekend.

The man said it best. It burns me up that Trump so clearly violated his oath of office on Jan. 6, 2021, incited an insurrection against his own country, and the people who know better simply do not care.
I cannot make my peace with them.

Evil always wins in this world.
That has been the truth since the beginning of humanity.

R4 No it doesn’t my friend.

R3 This is my argument about Trump supporters over the last few years. So many crimes and violation of oath of office, but too many people see and treat Trump with a significantly different standard. Hillary and Kamala had to basically be be perfect and they still didn't win. Trump gets the media attention and a pass on basically everything because he's a notorious figure. Even negative media attention works to his advantage because for Trump all publicity boosts his profile regardless of what it is. 34 felony convictions? Not a problem. Merrick Garland sitting on Trump case for two years before assigning a special prosecutor basically ensured Trump could get reelected to avoid criminal prosecutions.

Don't say he got away with it all until the fat lady sings. You never know when fate will come for that fat hog. I believe that everything happens for a good reason. I'm standing by waiting to see what the ultimate outcome of this will be. One thing I do know is that whatever we all think may happen after he takes office will likely not happen. All the lowbrows he's trying to bring on board are all running around ranting and raving about what they're going to do. Few to none of them will have the power to actually do any of it, without the approval of congress.

A demagogue often commits multiple crimes and gets away with it.
Why?
Well, because HE’S A DEMAGOGUE.

Rich white men always get away with it

You might as well rage against the incoming tide. It happened, and it is what it is.

R7 " I believe that everything happens for a good reason. "
I hope you don't really believe that pollyanna nonsense. Ask all the millions of people who have died or had their lives decimated over the centuries due to immoral and power hungry individuals in charge. Did any of them get their comeuppance? No. Living in a democracy we had choices to avoid the very type of person who has been elected for the second time. Those who could have likely previented it, Mitch McConnell, Merrick Garland, all failed due to their craven cowardice. And yes, I do believe most of what Trump said he will do will come to pass in his second term because all the guardrails are now gone, and he will be surrounded by yes people who will not think twice violating norms and laws.
