Need Gift Suggestions

For a very dear lesbian couple that always do nice things for me throughout the year. Got any great ideas? $500 is my budget for these two.

by Anonymousreply 2November 27, 2024 7:15 AM

De Walt gift card

by Anonymousreply 3November 27, 2024 7:22 AM

If they live somewhere that gets winter, very nice wool throws.

by Anonymousreply 4November 27, 2024 3:29 PM

Do they smoke pot?

Buy them a Gift card to buy medicinal marijuana!!

by Anonymousreply 5November 27, 2024 3:44 PM

Something in rough wool.

Do they wear underwear?

by Anonymousreply 6November 27, 2024 3:46 PM

$500? I'd take happily take the cash.

But then again, I'm poor.

by Anonymousreply 7November 27, 2024 3:57 PM

Cash seems so wrong. What do we think about a couples spa day for them?

by Anonymousreply 8November 27, 2024 7:32 PM

Thanks rescue-chick, but they live in a tropical climate.

by Anonymousreply 9November 27, 2024 7:34 PM

I’m reading cash is gaining acceptance as a gift. Cash and a smaller item, to help them to remember that time you gave them !$500! could be nice.

by Anonymousreply 10November 27, 2024 7:38 PM

Would it help if I added some things about them? They are early 50s, very athletic, play golf and soccer (I've already gifted them golf clubs), are into water sports (not that kind!) and are not terribly domestic/don't cook much. Maybe a cert for a great restaurant? I've run out of fun and interesting ideas. Thanks

by Anonymousreply 11November 27, 2024 7:41 PM

A rug making class.

by Anonymousreply 12November 27, 2024 7:44 PM

massages

by Anonymousreply 13November 27, 2024 7:47 PM

[quote]I've already gifted them golf clubs

You did? Don't real golfers need to be measured for their clubs? Ergo, if you did get them clubs, I'm going to assume it was either a gift certificate or they took the clubs back.

Do better this time.

by Anonymousreply 14November 27, 2024 7:49 PM

Even though they don’t cook much, what about a Vitamix? They can easily make everything from smoothies to soups to cocktails.

by Anonymousreply 15November 27, 2024 7:49 PM

How about a gift certificate to a local arts center? I've given gift certificates to a center in a nearby town that has concerts, classic movies, shows the Met Opera telecasts, stand-up comedians, etc.

by Anonymousreply 16November 27, 2024 7:52 PM

That is correct R14.

by Anonymousreply 17November 27, 2024 8:12 PM

If they don't cook, what about gift cards to several different restaurants?

by Anonymousreply 18November 27, 2024 8:32 PM

You’ve not given any details about them besides lesbian couple and $500. I won’t even try with those broad parameters.

by Anonymousreply 19November 27, 2024 8:39 PM

Nut Loaf of the Month Club.

by Anonymousreply 20November 27, 2024 8:58 PM

Squirrels. Death.

by Anonymousreply 21November 28, 2024 12:17 AM

matching vagina capes.

by Anonymousreply 22November 28, 2024 12:21 AM

OP just wanted us all to know how much he spends on friends.

by Anonymousreply 23November 28, 2024 12:23 AM

Lingerie and perfume, of course!

Actually - it would help if you gave us the general area where you live. If its tropical - I'm assuming you're in Florida. Fort Lauderdale?

We need a few more details. There's a shockingly low amount of theatre in south Florida.

by Anonymousreply 24November 28, 2024 12:26 AM

Try the Opa Locka Playhouse.

Boundaries

by Anonymousreply 26November 28, 2024 12:40 AM

By referring to them as “who” not “that”, OP.

by Anonymousreply 27November 28, 2024 12:42 AM

They have a house or apartment, a nice gift could be a Bose Wave iV table radio. Rich, full sound.

by Anonymousreply 28November 28, 2024 12:46 AM

A book of “fuck off” coupons for every day of the year

by Anonymousreply 29November 28, 2024 12:48 AM

Sex toys

by Anonymousreply 30November 28, 2024 12:49 AM

lesbians tend to like practical gifts such as keys, wallets, tools, or seeds.

by Anonymousreply 35November 28, 2024 1:01 AM

Criterion Channel or Master Class make nice gifts.

by Anonymousreply 36November 28, 2024 1:02 AM

Criterion channel subscription sucks bad

by Anonymousreply 37November 28, 2024 1:04 AM

An Amtrak gift certificate.

by Anonymousreply 38November 28, 2024 3:09 AM

Soil, or good fertilizer for it.

by Anonymousreply 39November 28, 2024 3:11 AM

Keys, R31? Keys?!?

by Anonymousreply 40November 28, 2024 4:41 AM

How hard can it be to buy gifts for lesbians? Just get a dream catcher, a couple of mugs with whales on them, and a can of WD40, and throw them all into a bag.

by Anonymousreply 41November 28, 2024 8:37 AM

Bread pudding and a loaded baked potato.

by Anonymousreply 42November 28, 2024 8:44 AM

Hostess pants for their occasional smart dinner parties? Or maybe a margarine fountain to wow the guests?

Serious suggestion though: If you’re by the ocean, you could go to a local rental shop and see if they’ll let you buy a day out on jet-skis or a catamaran that the girls can then schedule for the date of their choice. I’m in Boca Raton part of the year and I did this for my husband a while back. It worked out well. It’s one of those things we would say every once in a while — “We should go out on a boat one of these weekends”— but were to lazy/noncommittal to do the negligible legwork of arranging it. Prepaying it made it more tangible and not as much a chore to book.

by Anonymousreply 43November 28, 2024 9:26 AM

They both could probably use some deodorant, lice medication, and a new copy of the Melissa Etheridge Greatest Hits CD.
