Well?
POLL: Who do you think killed JonBenét Ramsey?

Herself.

Didn't polls on here used to tell you how many votes have been cast? That would be nice information to know.

It just amazes me that the father still stays in the public eye. He got away with protecting his son from being charged in her death, now shut up and slink off into the sunset. He reminds me of that couple whose daughter was 'kidnapped' from the resort in Portugal. I saw them judging some sort of talent competition on TV. What could they possibly gain from a TV appearance? Are they that hard up for money?

It was a small foreign fraction, you asshole!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 27, 2024 6:14 AM |
The whole situation is just too weird to NOT be a family member. The ransom note and the way she was found screams of a staged crime. I think she was accidentally killed by a family member somehow and the parents tried to make it look like murder.

There is no doubt in my mind that patsy wrote the note. I can hear her saying it. Subt at the end of the letter stands for subic bay training unit, where John Ramsey did some military service. If she wrote the note, then obviously it was someone in the family did it. Patsy did much of the staging while John took care of the body. I don’t believe that John set out to kilo jonbenet that night. I think either burke or patsy smashed honbenet over the head in a moment of frustration.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 30, 2024 3:57 AM |
Jacque II did it.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 30, 2024 6:43 AM |
Burke was the older brother, not a little brother.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 30, 2024 6:54 AM |
somehow John’s handwriting samples are non-existent

I think it could have been suicide. She was aging out of being a beauty queen. Very soon, she would have been 10 years old and considered over the hill.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 30, 2024 8:15 AM |
It was most likely the father. Didn't Detective Linda Arndt very heavily imply it was him when she was interviewed for a TV feature about the murder? She basically said that when she saw John Ramsey go downstairs into the basement and come up with Jon Benet's body she knew who had killed her.
I think because there was so much attention wrongly focused on Patsy, not enough attention was focused on John.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 30, 2024 8:36 AM |
But if John did it, I don’t see Patsy zipping her lip and keeping his secret. And she always acted like she was hiding something, and he seemed somewhat calm and believable. Whereas Patsy was the hysteric, maybe because she couldn’t believe what she herself had done…namely, kill the girl.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 30, 2024 3:00 PM |
John was her source of income and he had a pretty harsh personality. I can see Patsy just zipping her lip. Yes, she was hiding something. He was calm, but not believable, IMO. Patsy was doped up on rx drugs.

The brother. If dad or any other male had sexually assaulted her there would be DNA evidence all over. There was not.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 30, 2024 10:57 PM |
Isn't the brother older?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 30, 2024 11:34 PM |
She was wiped clean
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 1, 2024 4:09 AM |
fave docus on her? the Netflix one is biased towards the family
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 1, 2024 4:39 AM |
I think the brother accidentally did it, I don't think the parents did it.
Alleged Suspects: in Patsy - note. John - garrote and flashlight wipe. Boy - hit JB with flashlight, accidentally killed. Bowl of pineapple -catalyst. Pagents - focus and attention away from boy and on JB. Christmas- Boy admits on Dr. Phil he would have had a flashlight poking downstairs looking at his presents. Flashlight- heavy enough don't need to be too strong. Patsy- looney enough to take her daughter to the doctor almost every other week of the year. Makes a big deal and production. Dramatic flair in the note writing.
John - thinks it's the only way to avoid losing another child. Stages a scene.
No that's where it falls apart. John is too pragmatic to do that, he would have called an ambulance right away. But it might mean the boy being locked away in an institution or going to juvenile hall. He would have a record. People would know he killed his sister. How would he live with that? Maybe they all just pretended an actual killer existed after that night and never talked about it again. After all there are actual murderers the police do need to look for.

Burke

If a DL poll ever screamed out for Vivian Vance, this is the one.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 1, 2024 5:36 AM |
What about the creepy neighbor?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 1, 2024 6:00 AM |
Imo, the motive for the staging was to cover up the evidence of previous sexual abuse that would have been discovered on her body, not some concern for Burke
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 1, 2024 6:15 AM |
What about the random unidentified male DNA?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 1, 2024 6:26 AM |
Evidently the unidentified male DNA underneath her fingernails didn't match the unidentified male DNA in/on her panties so I'm not sure how important any of that touch DNA is. I mean why would the murderer leave DNA under her fingernails -or- on her panties but then not leave any on the ransom note, pen, paper pad, garrote, rope, tape, paintbrush, window, suitcase or anything else involved? Makes no sense.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 1, 2024 8:45 AM |
From the way she was killed, I don't believe for one second Patsy did it. THAT took some detached, violent, male energy to accomplish.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 1, 2024 11:32 AM |
Michael Myers!
However illogical, I think it was the brother. John & Patsy were clearly covering for someone as they practically had GUILT written on their faces, but I don't think they did it. I recall reading somewhere that as much as we're all freaked out about "stranger danger", children are rarely killed by strangers - it's almost always a family member. However crazy this case is, the most logical explanation is likely true - a family member killed her and John and Patsy tried to (clumsily) cover it up

The little boy built that complex knot on the paintbrush. You really believe that.
My god I swear neurotypicals are getting dumber every day.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 1, 2024 11:49 AM |
I'm uncertain about whether Burke was truly responsible, but he was a Boy Scout. It's a bit shortsighted to assume he was too young to tie a "complex" knot. During his interview with Dr. Phil, I got the impression that he might be an idiot savant.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 1, 2024 12:06 PM |
Vivian Vance. (I feel so DL now!)
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 1, 2024 12:08 PM |
It was the brother in the library with the candlestick. Or was it the kitchen with the pineapple?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 1, 2024 12:09 PM |
The Behavior Panel on YouTube (body language experts) concluded that John and Patsy *initially* thought that Burke had killed JB so they stayed up all night trying to cover for him by writing the note, etc. Then at some point after calling the police they realized that there had indeed been an intruder but by then they were too deep into it to change their story so they just stuck with it. I thought that was a very interesting take that I'd never heard before. I don't see how it's plausible, however. John (or whoever initially found JB's body in the basement) wouldn't had to pass by the broken window and suitcase on the way to the "wine cellar" so they likely would've known right then and there that there'd been an intruder. Unless of course that's why John is always so emphatic that *he'd* broken that window six months prior (Sure, Jan).

I've never heard anything about unidentified male DNA found under her fingernails before that R24 mentioned. I wonder where the idea came from.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 1, 2024 11:27 PM |
Their final thoughts about John start at 1:36:47 in case it doesn't automatically start there. If John's lying, he's got all four of them fooled!

Someone at the Ramsey house made three after-hours phone calls to JonBenét’s pediatrician on December 17th. Patsy denied making those calls. I have read that JonBenét saw her pediatrician over 30 times in a three-year span, which seems like a lot for a young child without a serious chronic health condition. I don’t know the significance of either of these pieces of information but they stand out as weird to me.

That’s one of the funniest theories yet R31. I’m kinda impressed by the absurdity
