Nick Drake died 50 years ago today.

His music career being cut so short is a huge tragedy, but he's hugely influential. Give him a listen if you never have. Hell, give him a listen anyway.

Nick Drake was an introvert and a solitary individual. He was also did not perform often, but when he did he not that appreciated by the audiences in small pubs and cafes, which made him all the much reluctant to do more live shows. When his albums were release they did not sell that much, even though the music critics raved about him. It's possible he was dealing with schizophrenia rather depression, even though he was taking amitriptyline for depression, which he overdosed from.

I love a lot of his music, you can feel the hopelessness in some of his songs
