Think of how long Meryl Streep's career has been going for, how consistently great her work is, and how un burned-out we all are on her. It's because she is humble and normal, she has lived a private life of friends and family, and has always allowed her work to speak for itself. No brand endorsements, no Met Gala strutting and preening, no scandals. I never get tired of her because she seems authentic and she's always so good.

I’ve had crushes on celebrities ever since that puberty thing kicked in. So I don’t find it ridiculous to fantasize about a performer. What I do find ridiculous is the idea of fantasizing about Glenn Powell.

I don’t mean ridiculous. I mean quizzical. What is his appeal and how did he suddenly become The New Hot Guy? Did his popularity begin organically or is it part of Dump’s plan to gaslight us?

I don’t know the actor, but whatever public persona he and his team have cooked up - it’s not working for me. He doesn’t appear to be kind or funny or smart. His eyes, nose and mouth are all squished into the center of his face.

He’s not ugly-cute or awkwardly sexy or original in any way. Although the beady-ness of his squished-together eyes might surpass even those of the Blue-Footed Booby; birds known for their beady, close together eyes.

The only way today to avoid celebs you don't want to see is to beat them at the box office. Don't go see their movies.
