I suspect the show is going to be canceled soon. This was their jump the shark moment. And it’s funny because the tweetler in chief elect is the main reason why. It’s not only that they went to Mar-a-lago but the cunt viciously disrespected them with a tweet. Trump is a motherfucker yo 😂. They just seem not only like hypocrites but also pathetic pansies. Jokes on them.

They will get divorced and JS will go back to Fox. Mika will retire and write another book.

I watched them last night to see what's up about this blowout. A bunch of new faces there instead of just old white men, think thats his idea of shaking things up. Anyways, what caught my attention is his obsession with Twitter. Joe is trying to blame this all on social media. So he had a guy there talking about how liberals are leaving Twitter, close to 1 million a day over to Bluesky. Joe still trying to make excuses was trying to push him into saying Liberals want to live in a bubble. Thank god the guy pushed back and said it's really an Elon thing putting his thumb on the scale that's the problem. Using algorithms to boost inflammatory speech.
And Joe even forgot the lie he told the day before how he never goes on Twitter, but then in this last conversation he started talking about how much he loves going on there to talk about sports.

You are not alone r6, everyone who watched them feels that way. I know personally at first I was not so trusting way back in 2016 when they had him on their show daily, but once they had that blow out and became solid ant-Trump I eventually let my guard down and thought they were at least superficially going in that direction. The enemy of my friend is my friend so to speak. Joe even officially left the Republican party. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and now I feel betrayed.

Joe and his ho had candidate Trump as a guest 15 times during the 2016 campaign.
Think again if you think anything substantial was discussed during this time.

Mainly because it was the only show focused primarily on politics at that hour in the morning without a screaming match like CNN or Fox would do. Conversation instead of debates. Also started out with a lot of guests who were from creditable sources like the former head of the CIA or retired Generals, Presidential historians or Intelligence officers. Compared to Fox which basically had bimbos in pencil skirts trying to act smart. A lot of Washington politicians were into it as their main source of what's going on in politics.

Steve Schmidt hoisted the super unqualified Sarah Palin on the US in 2008, which begat Donald Trump. Without Sarah Palin lowering the bar to the floor, candidate Donald Trump would never have been seen as a viable option for voters 8 years later.

Schmidt went further when he "reached across the aisle" to meddle in the inner workings of the Democratic party to have President Biden removed as the presidential nominee.
When President Biden said he is the only one to beat orange, he wasn't lying.
If it's a choice between two old ass white men, President Biden is the obvious choice for POTUS.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 23, 2024 3:29 AM |
R29, virtually no one across all the levers of power in the Democratic Party thought Biden was a viable candidate after his debate. And that included the media and large swaths of the people.

They probably apologized, lied and said a few flattering things to trump and he forgave them. trump is like a 10 yr old child. It doesn't take much to impress him. Just massage his ego and he'll forgive almost anything.
I guarantee you he said "the democratic party just went crazy and was too far left and we were stuck financially and professionally had to keep supporting them, but personally we were really glad you won". Then they said a few flattering things, "you really beat Kamala, you ran a great campaign, the country really loves you". And then all was forgiven by donald. It doesn't take much to impress a megalomaniac like donald

MSNBC has several hosts/pundits who will say whatever they're paid to say. Remember Ed Schultz, who had his own show on MSNBC, and then turned back into a right-winger as soon as he was fired. Same with former MSNBC host Kasie Hunt, who turned more conservative as soon as she joined CNN. You can add in Ari Melber and Steve Kornacki to the list.

[italic]Steve Schmidt hoisted the super unqualified Sarah Palin on the US in 2008, which begat Donald Trump.[/italic]
LIES.
John McCain called Steve Schmidt in 2007 as his campaign was faltering and a majority of campaign staff had resigned. McCain had gone from the Republican frontrunner on New Year's Day 2007 to last place and bankruptcy by July 2007 under the leadership of John Weaver and Rick Davis. After Schmidt joined the campaign as a volunteer, the McCain campaign moved from last place in the Republican primaries to win New Hampshire in January 2008, and then in South Carolina, Florida, California and other states, ultimately becoming the Republican nominee. McCain's comeback is regarded as among the greatest of the modern presidential era.
After securing the nomination, the McCain campaign was viewed as "unfocused." On July 2, 2008, Schmidt was appointed to head up day-to-day operations of the McCain campaign in response to concerns that the campaign lacked coordination and a clear message. Rick Davis retained the formal title of "campaign manager", and was in charge of the vice presidential selection and vetting process, alongside attorney A.B. Culvahouse, resulting in the selection of Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
He was dismayed after learning that Davis had promoted Palin as McCain's running mate, saying in an interview with Kyiv Post that "I thought she would bring down the entire campaign."
Schmidt's relationship with Palin was tumultuous, with Schmidt confronting her on multiple occasions. He personally took charge of her debate preparations in the fall of 2008. On election night, Schmidt refused Palin's demands that she give a concession speech and reminded her that vice presidential candidates do not traditionally speak on election night, out of concern that her speaking would debase the peaceful transition of power.
In 2008, Schmidt worked to handle accusations that McCain was having an affair with a lobbyist. According to Schmidt, McCain afterwards revealed to him that the accusation was true. In a 2022 article posted on The Warning, Schmidt wrote that "John McCain's lie became mine."
In 2022, Schmidt revealed he was deeply disillusioned with McCain by the end of the campaign and did not vote for him, and instead left his presidential vote blank. He describes the entire campaign as "an insane asylum, a cauldron of chaos all the way through.
Steve sounds like an idealist, and actually quite naive.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | January 5, 2025 5:28 PM |
Schmidt turned down all public appearances during the 2008 Republican convention as a protest against the party's stance on gay marriage. His only appearance was before the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay Republican group, during which he voiced his support for gay rights.
He said: "I just wanted to take a second to come by and pay my respect and the campaign's respect to your organization and to your group. Your organization is an important one in the fabric of our party" and "I admire your group and your organization and I encourage you to keep fighting for what you believe in because the day is going to come."
Schmidt said about his sister and her (lesbian) life partner: "On a personal level, my sister and her partner are an important part of my life and our children's life."
by Anonymous | reply 65 | January 5, 2025 5:35 PM |
Steve Schmidt has his own baggage, that is for sure. However, he is articulating an actual and present danger to the Republic. Joe and Mika are the poster children for the industry-wide capitulation of the media, but it isn't just them: The culprit is the corporations who own the news media who are trying to, through appeasement the ire of a vengeful, unqualified, delusional toddler off of whose shit encrusted fat ass they made millions during the election into a manageable influence. It is the inevitable result of the corporate media complex. It has been pointed out by those trying to defend Joe and Mika that they receive constant death threats of varying degrees of credibility, and therefore they are simply afraid for their safety. This is true, but they have been receiving these threats for years now. They are more likely afraid of being targeted from Dump's DOJ and DUMP's IRS etc.
They made the calculation that the entire news industry is going to go soft on Dump, and they weren't going to be David to that Goliath.
Understandable, sadly human, but I can't abide the sight of either one of them and don't want to watch them. I don't hate them, I just have no reason to watch them anymore
