Rick hasn't been on Days since 1990. But it is possible he might show up in a few weeks.

Rick, playing Julie's grandson Scotty Banning, may show up for Doug's funeral which coincides with the Day's 15,000th episode. Rick was not among the announced returnees for those episodes, but it is possible the show held back some names to add the element of surprise to the funeral episodes.

So, I will be delighted if Rick does turn up for the funeral, but I'm not going to hold my breath either.

I always like the A-M/Phillip dynamic, but Rick H. didn't overlap with Grant that much. Carl Evans, who was more of a boy than the young man RH was as AM, was great in the part, too.

I didn’t know he is of Italian descent until reading this thread but figured he is some sort of “ethnic”.

He's an amazing actor.

Carl Evans was sooooooocute. I had mad crushes on both him and Grant Aleksander when I’d come home from school, all horny, and watch Guiding Light at 3pm with my mom and sister.

Hearst is ok. Cute, but he’s no Carl Evans (who still looks boyishly handsome!).

Any stories on Grant Aleksander? Is he a Mormon or something? He was so impossibly handsome (still is). Chiseled face, perfect hair, and hot body. He could have ANY girl that he wanted. Yet, he married someone that looks like she could be his mother….

Grant's taken a while to hit the aging wall but I suspect it's around the corner. She was a lovely if not spectacularly glamorous woman when she was younger.

Grant has been in love with Sherry forever and good for him! He truly loves her and she loves him. They are both lucky.

I remember there were several Rick Hearst gay rumors but he's one I really don't think is gay or doesn't fool around on the side with men.

But there were raging rumors that Frank Beaty was in love with him, and then later on, well after he was gone from GL, there was some kind of rumor with Rick and Ricky Paull Goldin.

It was unrequited love that Frank had for Herbst. Drove Frank off the deep end.

As hot as I always thought he was, I also thought there was a bit of a Donny Osmond thing about him, too.
