Conan's having a good week.

That looks horrible.
Poor guy.
I never liked him, but I feel bad that he got hurt so badly.

Kinda like that ballet dancer in Moscow who fell out a window - five stories up.....after criticizing Putin's Ukraine policies.

Apparently he’s a big gambler
Probably borrowed from loan sharks to cover his debts

Leno can't do better than Hampton Inn when on tour. And no Driver. He needs a new agent.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 20, 2024 3:48 PM |
I read that he was headed to a restaurant and took a shortcut down a path? Apparently it's located on Lookout Cliff.

This guy must be in such serious debt.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 20, 2024 3:50 PM |
The man is 74 years old and decides to blaze a new trail to the town. The bruising is alarming but old people bruise easily.
Norm McDonald joke: I was visiting my aunt when I noticed a huge bruise on her arm. "Nana, how did you get that terrible bruise?"
Nana: "The wind."
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 20, 2024 4:12 PM |
Oh shit, I feel bad for him. No laughing matter.

Jay has a multi million dollar classic car collection.
There is no way he's broke.

[quote] What Is Jay Leno's Net Worth In 2023?
Jay Leno has an estimated net worth of $450 million and currently earns $15 million annually. Being one of the richest comedians in the world, Leno also owns a massive garage with a wide collection of rare vintage classics and exceptional vehicles.

He finally made me laugh.

Considering his age, these falls can be lethal.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 20, 2024 5:35 PM |
Based on timelines Jay should have a serious accident in late 2026 early 2027. What will it be? I think he will walk into the path of a herd of Bison while walking to get lunch while in Montana.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 20, 2024 7:20 PM |

Jay hasn't spent a penny of his Tonight Show money. So I don't think he's in debt.

by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 22, 2024 1:35 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 22, 2024 1:39 AM |

You come tumbling down the other side of it?

It happens to the youngins as well, R25.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 22, 2024 1:51 AM |
Been runnin' up that road / Been fallin' down that hill...
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 22, 2024 1:55 AM |
More likely that he got shitfaced or high before his show.
And that area of PA is really hilly, so a slightly elderly drunk dude would, in fact, fall on his ass and roll downhill.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 22, 2024 1:57 AM |
R28 = idiot.
This local notes that the Hampton Inn is the closest hotel to Pittsburgh’s casino.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 22, 2024 11:36 AM |
Actually I just checked and it’s not. People from Pittsburgh are such clueless morons. There is a hotel onsite at the casino.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 22, 2024 11:46 AM |
The most likely explanation can probably be derived from his 300+ classic vehicle collection. Can the public see this impressive collection? No.
He’s a hoarder.
…And a gambling addict. So he has money, but he just refuses to pay his gambling debts.
In that case, his beatdown is not only justified but well-deserved. Fucking rich people really do think the rules don’t apply to them.

[quote]Actually I just checked and it’s not. People from Pittsburgh are such clueless morons. There is a hotel onsite at the casino.
He wasn’t performing at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. His show was in Greensburg which is almost an hour east of Pittsburgh, R30.

Jay Leno is an Asshole of the 1st order. I feel bad that his wife has Alzheimer (dementia) but Jay probably has early onset Parkinson's, or Alzheimer's.
I know his financial advisor group; Jay Leno is a multi-millionaire & an asshole. Hopefully he has a guardian soon.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 22, 2024 3:53 PM |
The only thing that REALLY stands out here are his injuries.
Allegedly, he fell & tumbled down that hill, so why are all of his injuries only on the left side of his body?
I’ve had injuries from falling on one side of my body, however, none of those injuries were a result of tumbling down a steep hill.
Wouldn’t tumbling down a hill result in significant bruising on both sides of one’s body?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 22, 2024 4:49 PM |
He still has a lot of hair.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 22, 2024 4:56 PM |
This IS fishy. He looks like a battered woman.
Also, why is he staying at a Hampton Inn?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 22, 2024 4:56 PM |
He might be a sex trafficking victim.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 22, 2024 5:15 PM |
I'm guessing his wife is hitting him and he's protecting her (as well as covering up his own embarrassment)
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 22, 2024 5:56 PM |
R38 My 86 year old mother took a tumble down the stairs (carpeted thankfully and there were only about 8.) One leg turned entirely blue and her arm on the same side was bruised. Absolutely no marks on her other side. But a miracle neither she nor Leno broke a hip.

by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 22, 2024 7:40 PM |
Yes R21, I recall him saying he and his wife lived off his income from his comedy gigs and didn't touch his TS salary.
I hope he's okay. He may be starting with dementia on top of caring for his wife. Sometimes stress or a tragedy can accelerate the disease.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 22, 2024 7:49 PM |
What’s he saving his money for? I don’t think he has children.
I watched a few episodes of his YouTube channel, Jay Leno’s Garage. Enjoyable and he is knowledgable about cars.
Anyway, I think he’s a trump voter.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 22, 2024 7:57 PM |
My father died as an active boozer & gambler. He was smart, genuinely kind (but had temper regulation issues if he didn’t have access to enough wine) handsome, ran several successful businesses & invested in real estate in multiple states up & down the east coast.
In the end, he ended up divorced, living on some island in the Caribbean, where he pissed much of his retirement money away in casinos, on a MUCH younger girlfriend, and on escorts.
Interestingly enough, he held it all together until he retired. Within 10-12 years post retirement, he passed away in some rinky-dink hospital on an island, due to complications from ascites.
Don’t do what my Pops did, DL.
Hope this dude will recover quickly from his injuries, & hope he overcomes whatever struggles he may have, IF he has ‘em.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | November 22, 2024 8:24 PM |
Apparently he kept all his money from his Tonight Show earnings. He saved or carefully invested every penny of it, which is why he accumulated so much wealth. The money he made from stand up shows and other gigs is what he spent on homes, cars, lifestyle. I seriously doubt anybody so bright and so careful with money would become involved in any serious gambling activity.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | November 22, 2024 8:29 PM |
Social media gossips really missed the jokes in some of the tweets about this. He's a septuagenarian, famously self-disciplined, and comedians work at (or near) casinos all the time.
[quote]Can the public see this impressive collection? No.
He shows off his collection all the time, to TV shows and publications for car enthusiasts.
[quote]I feel bad that his wife has Alzheimer (dementia) but Jay probably has early onset Parkinson's, or Alzheimer's.
Neurological condition was also my first thought. One-sided injuries happen, as odd as it sounds, and the damage to his hand isn't suspicious. Michael J. Fox has detailed similar injuries in his Parkinson's books, though Jay shows no signs of Parkinson's in OP's clip.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | November 22, 2024 8:34 PM |
He also owns like 500 cars or something and pays a lot for upkeep and storage.
If he's having to perform in the sad, decrepit Trumplandia of Greensburg, PA - and stay in a sad, decrepit hotel there (there is NO nice hotel in Greensburg) there must be something off about the whole deal.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 22, 2024 8:35 PM |
Jay and Mavis have no children, I wonder who will inherit all of that wealth.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | November 22, 2024 8:38 PM |
There must be a reason why he didn’t have a rental car. Lost his driver’s license due to dementia?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | November 22, 2024 8:38 PM |
[quote]If he's having to perform in the sad, decrepit Trumplandia of Greensburg, PA - and stay in a sad, decrepit hotel there (there is NO nice hotel in Greensburg) there must be something off about the whole deal.
He's similar to Joan Rivers, he'll play anywhere. That was even the case at the height of his Tonight Show fame, when he booked about 150 club gigs a year.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | November 22, 2024 8:45 PM |
I laughed when I read the article in my local paper. Not because I dislike him (I don't), but of the courage and audacity of an old guy taking a short cut through rough terrain and toppling 60 feet. Apparently he still did his show after he fell with some significant injuries.
He's had a lot of tragedy and pain in recent years, but, like him or not, he's a trooper, picking himself up and carrying on.
I saw him on a special episode of Antiques Roadshow during the pandemic when they deviated from their normal shows. They visited him in his fancy home in Newport, Rhode Island that he bought filled with antiques from the previous owner. He's a quirky one.
Here's the link.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | November 22, 2024 9:04 PM |
He doesn't play comedy gigs because he needs to. He does it because he likes to and is somewhat of a workaholic.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | November 22, 2024 9:21 PM |
I admire his attitude.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | November 22, 2024 9:31 PM |
I loathe him, always have, always will.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 22, 2024 9:41 PM |
Yes, Jay’s a workaholic. He always has been. While Johnny Carson regularly had guest hosts on The Tonight Show, Leno refused. He very rarely took time off from the show.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | November 23, 2024 12:31 AM |
I do as well, R57.
Aside from all of the speculation, let’s get real…
No way in hell is an old man falling down a steep hill, and going on to perform at a scheduled gig soon after, without having some REALLY GOOD pain pills immediately handy. Actually, he may have already taken them before taking a tumble.
Something is off here, & perhaps it’s as simple as opiates.
I’m not judging the old man. He’s gone through a LOT in the past 5 years, and he admirably keeps it moving. If he’s a workaholic, which I believe he is, then some sort of dependency on whatever, wouldn’t be out of the question.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | November 23, 2024 12:33 AM |

Probably make up
by Anonymous | reply 64 | November 23, 2024 5:38 PM |
There is something wrong with Leno physically, his mind is going. It happens to wealthy older white guys with "control issues".
It gets worse as they get older. Hopefully, Leno has a friend who will look out for him (power of attorney-advocate).
by Anonymous | reply 65 | November 23, 2024 5:48 PM |
He also got burned up, recently, working on cars.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | November 23, 2024 5:49 PM |

I’m surprised no one has noted that he says he lost a nail from the fall. WTF? You don’t lose a nail from a fall, it has to be ripped out. He’s being abused and tortured by gangsters that he owes money to.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | November 23, 2024 6:13 PM |
His wife probably is being abusive. Dementia patients can become violent, especially ones who can still move around on their own. Might be time to put her in a locked unit.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | November 23, 2024 6:17 PM |
R51, leave Greensburg alooooone. It's less Trumpy than it used to be. Kamala Harris actually won the city, the first Democrat to do so in decades.
I grew up in Greensburg. It's also the hometown of noted photographer (and noted perv) Bruce Weber
by Anonymous | reply 71 | November 23, 2024 6:29 PM |
I am clumsy and this seems plausible. I had a bad fall walking down a fairly short slope after slipping on dry leaves.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | November 23, 2024 7:15 PM |
The fingernail could have come off in a fall down a decline. You're grabbing onto rocks and whatnot, hoping to break the fall.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | November 23, 2024 7:30 PM |
Yeah, no scratches on face seems doesn't add up
by Anonymous | reply 74 | November 23, 2024 7:41 PM |
R42 and R70 are probably right. My late uncle had Alzheimers and he would frequently attack his wife. Most of the time, she was able to get away from him but he hit her pretty hard a couple of times. She lied about it to the family at the beginning because she was trying to protect him.
If Marvis is beating him, it's very sweet that he's trying to protect her. He must love her very much.

[quote]The fingernail could have come off in a fall down a decline. You're grabbing onto rocks and whatnot, hoping to break the fall.
Yes, it's perfectly plausible. It's odd that some people think mild torture by the mafia (which was originally suggested as a joke) is a more reasonable explanation than a fall.

Kill her Jay, u need to breed an heir.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | November 23, 2024 8:02 PM |
I am 65 and last month at my local park I decided to walk down a very steep grassy slope, perhaps about 30 degree angle, something I hadn't done in perhaps 12-15 years. I am still reasonably limber and have pretty good balance so while it wasn't as easy as it was when I was younger, I managed just fine. But I can see losing one's balance when one is older and almost never does something like that. The question is, why did Jay even attempt that at age 74?
by Anonymous | reply 78 | November 24, 2024 1:08 AM |
