Wicked tracking for massive opening

I’d rather see the Gladiator movie this weekend.

Getting ready for the negative posts from mentally unstable Dataloungers. Give it up you sad, pathetic things - nobody wants to hear your sniping.

I don’t know ANY of the story about Wicked. I only know about this world because of the original movie.

I’ve never read the books or seen the play or listened to the music.

It hasn’t really been of any interest. I saw somewhere, Insta, maybe, that the book is really dark and has non-kid friendly elements.

They might be overestimating their popularity.

The general public is unaware of the darkness of this story compared to The Wizard of Oz. The general public is unaware that they broke the stage musical up into two parts (and added a lot of shit) for the transition to screen. Lots of not-so-fun surprises await them . But that doesn't mean they won't show up. The estimates are probably accurate. Then remorse kicks in.

It might have legs the first three or four days or so but nobody will see this thing more than once.

Everyone already said it would have a big opening. Then it’ll fall quickly.

Apparently the title on the movie says Part 1, so they'll be screaming before that. Terrible trick.

Hello everyone, I just saw the New York screening of the movie #Wicked, and here is my review...

This movie is astounding! It's epic, brilliant, touching and honest. It is breathtaking to look at ... the sets, costumes, makeup, performances, choreography, and the entire scope of the movie, is everything I wanted it to be.

I told the genius Director Jon Chu, that he had picked up the torch, the broom, and the wand, and carried it forward; and thanked him, for adding to the family.

Cynthia and Ariana are nothing short of magnificent! They take you on an emotional roller coaster, and you better hold on tight. Vocally, they both are phenomenal and jaw dropping! Their performances are honest, subtle, funny, and absolutely perfect.

The rest of the cast including #MichelleYeoh, #JeffGoldblum, and more, are also phenomenal!

I sat at the talkback after the movie, and listened to all of them talk about what it was like to make this epic movie, which was a lot of fun, and done with a great deal of love and respect for the original.

So all I can tell you, is go see it and be taken on the journey of the witches! And buckle up, because it's one joy filled ride!
