Nicole gets candid about mortality and grief.
Nicole Kidman reveals she often wakes up 'crying and gasping'

I gasp whenever I look at her face.

Oh, look, another Nicole Kidman thread.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 19, 2024 12:55 AM |
Neck lift gone wrong, she literally can't breathe.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 19, 2024 12:57 AM |
Her narcissism is redlining lately.
She’s in every other streaming show - and no one cares - and now fears the vast repercussions of her demise, as if she’s more important than any other living being walking the earth.
Insufferable bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 19, 2024 12:57 AM |
I would too if I looked in the mirror and saw that plastic face looking back.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 19, 2024 12:57 AM |
I enjoy Nicole, surgery and all. And honestly, this is just what happens as you get older. Maybe not the dramatic gasping, but the weight of mortality definitely sets in as you start losing friends and family.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 19, 2024 1:00 AM |
I often fall asleep sobbing and gasping.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 19, 2024 1:02 AM |
Her face has always scared the living shit out of me even before the surgeries. I remember watching Eyes Wide Shut high as a kite and her character just scaring me so much, there’s something sinister about her.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 19, 2024 1:05 AM |
Needy.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 19, 2024 1:05 AM |
I know the CZJ “eternally 29” joke is an amusing DL standby, but no one embodies that delusion more than this bitch.
She truly believes she’s in her mid-30s.
Pathetic,
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 19, 2024 1:05 AM |
I don’t believe her. She can’t express emotions anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 19, 2024 1:07 AM |
She's having a terrible time accepting that she's an old hag now.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 19, 2024 1:07 AM |
Sleep apnea? I'm sure she wakes up alone since her husband is gay.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 19, 2024 1:08 AM |
What a nut
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 19, 2024 1:08 AM |
I have a trembling hand!

I once had a dream where my mother, siblings and late father were all gathered in the house I grew up in, cleaning up after dinner. We were laughing and bantering like a normal, happy family, fully present in each other’s company. When I woke up, tears were streaming down my face, and I felt an unbearable emptiness, as though someone had carved a hole in me that could never be filled. I lost my dad to suicide when I was 10, and even now, decades later, I sometimes break down over the loss, and over the fact that I’ll never be able to ask him for advice, share a book I’ve read or just talk about a movie.
Nicole just lost her mom, and I understand the emotions she’s describing. It’s raw and relentless. Show her a little grace. Grief reshapes you, whether you’re 10 or 56.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 19, 2024 1:17 AM |
She should wake up every morning deliriously happy she has had the life and career she has. She can be good, mostly earlier on, but she isn’t that great.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 19, 2024 1:29 AM |
R16, 🙏❤️.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 19, 2024 1:42 AM |
I have very potent anxiety dreams, oftentimes I don’t remember them at all and I still wake up shaking and upset.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 19, 2024 1:53 AM |
She’s just like us 💔
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 19, 2024 1:54 AM |
R16 Once I dreamt I was a WWI nurse who fell in love with a wounded soldier. Miss him sometimes.

I love how she identifies marriage, raising children and losing parents as "factors that make you a fully sentient being".
For sure single cat lady Taylor Swift feels less than sentient, not to mention most of the DL.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 19, 2024 2:27 AM |
Jesus Fucking Christ. SHE seemingly doesn't understand or gets it.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 19, 2024 2:31 AM |
She needs to go the Jane Fonda route and drop some horrifying incidents from the past, timed carefully for full effect.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 19, 2024 2:35 AM |
r21 that sounds like past life memories to me
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 19, 2024 2:37 AM |
Has Kidman ever been in a hit movie? Why is she famous?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 19, 2024 2:37 AM |
Too much ‘tox.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 19, 2024 2:49 AM |
Seeing Keith out of drag will do that.

r26 Tom Cruise
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 19, 2024 3:02 AM |
I feel so sorry for her. She is the first human being alive to reach her mid-fifties without living parents.
How she must suffer!
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 19, 2024 3:29 AM |
Correction - late 50s. She's 57.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 19, 2024 3:33 AM |
I also gnash my teeth, weep and wail over my impeding mortality but you don't see me crying about it
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 19, 2024 3:38 AM |
What's this about her dad being an alleged creep/sexual abuser? Just unfounded rumors, or anything substantiated?
Someone in the other Nicole thread alluded to it.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 19, 2024 3:43 AM |
R26 she was in a Batman movie almost 30 years ago as a totally superfluous character.
Otherwise, no.

All the warmth of an unplugged blender.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 19, 2024 3:53 AM |
Nicole would be perfect in one of those films where the studio needs a guaranteed flop as a tax write-off.

R7 = Valerie Bertinelli
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 19, 2024 4:13 AM |
Jesus, does she have to share every fucking thing? I can remember her describing similar stuff after the Cruise break up.
Yes, it's sad she lost her mother.
No, she doesn't need to go into that kind of detail publicly.

There’s a Javier Bardem interview about how he “misses being a son”. I think that’s a very universal yet unspoken part of losing a parent. You miss them, but you also miss having a parent, someone to love you like a little child even as an adult. It’s heartbreaking, because even if she has all the money and support system in the world, there truly isn’t anything to do, just learn to live with it. I miss my mom like Nicole does. I truly feel for her.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 19, 2024 8:41 PM |
This makes her asking Reese Witherspoon “do you ever think about death. I think about it a lot “ deeper than it was.
My mom died 6 years ago. I still go to text her or send her something I’ve seen online.

I'm starting to feel that the worst thing about Nicole Kidman is the air of fragility she so often cultivates onscreen and off. She always plays characters who look like they're on the verge of tears, are ill-used or even abused by their husbands, or who are evil to others but there's some reason why they're actually the victim. Granted, I haven't seen everything she's been in but I've seen a lot. I'm thinking in particular of "Nine Perfect Strangers," "The Perfect Couple," and "Big Little Lies."
Isn't she like 6 feet tall?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 19, 2024 8:52 PM |
She sounds like a nut job like most actresses are....
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 19, 2024 9:02 PM |
Why is Nicole Kidman news everywhere? What are her publicists trying to promote?

She must have hired Jennifer Aniston’s PR people.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 19, 2024 9:11 PM |
She wakes up GASPING because she is extremely inexplicably thirsty. She's crying because it's hard work keeping to her grueling non stop work schedule and putting on and putting over ALL THE SMOKE AND MIRRORS that she is a beautiful ageless glamazon.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 19, 2024 9:25 PM |
I used to love Kidman. I'm mad some Beverly Hills hack has jacked up her face and charged her 100k for it. She's losing her ability to act by creating such an obviously cultivated face. How is she suppose to disappear into a role anymore? She can only play affluent damaged women now. Her performance in Destroyer was great. You can't play that type of character if your work is too severe. The Lucille Ball biopic was egregious, she doesn't fit into the character because of her work.
