I agree, but i've been veering away from the political threads (for the most part) and just starting my own to distract from how depressing this all is and also the holiday depression as well. Also, because I need some support in my loneliness.

i hope we can keep creating non-political threads so I can get through this holiday season without slitting my wrists with how unbelievably depressing life is (for me) is right now.

R28- Tomorrow I’m making my Martha Stewart Vegetarian Chili. It has kidney beans 🫘 and pinto beans. I’m right now waiting for the water to boil for the kidney beans. Both beans need to be fully cooked before I put them in the pot tomorrow for the chili- which I shall serve with brown rice.

I have never been a fan of depressing disaster movies. You know they are all doomed.

But the last few days since the election reading on DL makes me realize why so many do love those types of movies.

R49, no shame there. I do this, too. DLers are generally a smart and politically aware group, and I often get my first scoop of important news from my thrice-daily thread scrolls.

Datalounge continues to be pretty boring - the threads aren't very interesting and there is very little posting.

Everyone has everyone else on ignore. It’s a DL game to encourage more conversations.

There are like five posts an hour on Datalounge at this point.

I’m always afraid of creating my own threads because you have to bump them yourself to get the fire going or to rekindle it sometimes. But excessive posting puts me at risk of being auto-banned or red-tagged as a troll.

The site is on permanent prime time. Casual visitors and posters likely don't care enough to spend $24/yr to participate.

We know you spend way more than that, T. It's surprising, actually. Usually addicts spend everything on their next purchase of "stuff". But you seem to save enough for endless accounts. It's impressive in a sense.

R71-I enjoyed the thread about going to the bathhouse on a Saturday night that I started in 2022. I am mostly over that. I only go once in a while. I had 600 responses on that thread. I enjoy threads about when was the last time a guy flirted with you or how often do you have sex- I haven't had anyone flirt with me nor have I had sex in ages. The thread in 2021 about Mommie Dearest covid- I was in tears of laughter. I like threads like what words or phrases do you hate, Post photos of guys you consider hot - those are some examples.

Attending an event at Bellagio hotel/casino one dark and stormy night, I needed to use the Women's Restroom. I was by myself, alone in an unfamiliar restroom. I began to hear strange noises when suddenly.

There. In the middle of using the toilet, I saw a huge flood of DARK BROWN FECES flooding my stall from the one next to it. My heart was pounding, my palms sweaty, my brain could not comprehend the horror I was experiencing.

My brand new Satin high heels and large cloth bag were immediately covered in the filthy poop. I "finished" as quickly as possible and went to the bathroom sink. The smell was horrific. I reeled in terror and held back the nausea which iverwhelned me i stumbled blindly ro safety and I told the housekeeper what had happened.

She yelled at me in front of the other patrons that I should have inspected the stall before using it. She didn't care that the flood of shit happened after I was using the toilet. She ignored my request for help in cleaning my shoes and cloth bag. I had to stand in my stocking feet on the restroom floor, and clean someone else's feces off of my things. I was chilled! I thought of all tne mysterious murders, all the unsolved disappearances, all the supernatural forces arrayed against me and concluded I had no choice but to wear the shoes out of the restroom, and carry the cloth bag.

I then called for a shift manager. After a long wait, he finally showed up. His response? He didn't see the incident so there was nothing that he could do to help me. It was as if I had never been in that bathroom, as if I had never experienced the FULL FLUSH OF HORROR.

I would be happy to take a lie detector test to prove that what I'm saying is 100% true and accurate.
