Enough is enough

Tasteless.

by Anonymousreply 1November 14, 2024 2:57 AM

I'm tired of all of their stupid faces in the ads. Dance little munchkin dance.

by Anonymousreply 2November 14, 2024 3:06 AM

I'm sure some Nigerian-British singer and pudding face will be demanding an apology for the colors on the Arc de Triompe in 3... 2...

by Anonymousreply 3November 14, 2024 3:07 AM

I loathe the skeletal donut licking Ariana Grande.

by Anonymousreply 4November 14, 2024 3:36 AM

STATE THOSE BOUNDARIES, BITCHES!

by Anonymousreply 5November 14, 2024 4:07 AM

I thought the show sucked

by Anonymousreply 6November 14, 2024 4:12 AM

Oh that's what all the pink and green is about. I thought it was a Kamala/AKA shout out. Sorry, I'm not big on musical theatre and never have been.

by Anonymousreply 7November 14, 2024 4:13 AM

I completely agree but let's face it it's still going to be a hit. I don't know if it will make a billion like Barbie but it is going to be a mega hit.

by Anonymousreply 8November 14, 2024 4:15 AM

And a Wicked decorated bus goes by in the vid too. Classy.

by Anonymousreply 9November 14, 2024 4:26 AM

Wicked will do very well but the overall Glicked phenomenon will fail. The industry is so clearly pushing this phenomenon. While Barbenheimer just sort of happened, Glicked or Wickidator is very inorganic.

by Anonymousreply 10November 14, 2024 4:30 AM

I agree-the previews were more than enough. It’s just too damn much stuff-outdoor sets-CGI and the songs are basically girls SCREECHING for attention. I won’t see it.

by Anonymousreply 11November 14, 2024 4:35 AM

I like pink and green.

Are we sure it wasn't a tribute to Lilly Pulitzer?

by Anonymousreply 13November 14, 2024 4:59 AM

The over selling of this is ridiculous.

They must be worried.

by Anonymousreply 14November 14, 2024 5:22 AM

they've been pushing this giant turd out of their fat ghastly ass for months now. i wish both parts of this shit sausage would come out together, so we'd be spared incessant ads for part 2.

by Anonymousreply 15November 14, 2024 5:36 AM

I really am praying Part 1 is a "disappointment".

Neither one of those hags needs to become a name actress.

by Anonymousreply 16November 14, 2024 5:49 AM

Maybe they're worried about precipitous revenue drops once the review embargoes are lifted and online word of mouth spreads.

by Anonymousreply 17November 14, 2024 5:49 AM

The stage show never appealed to me, and I found the book to be pretentious fan fiction, but I’m somewhat curious about the movie. However, I’ll wait to see it until the crowds have died down. I can stand the idea of being surrounded by skinny jean queens and their squealing, blubby hags.

by Anonymousreply 18November 14, 2024 5:54 AM

Can’t stand!

by Anonymousreply 19November 14, 2024 5:55 AM

R18 I'm with you. I was so excited about the original book when it was announced but once I read it....it's not a good book. Clunky plot, leaden dialogue and it never "lifts" off the page....Maguire is a very lucky hack.

The musical suffers from a lousy book and screechy songs.

by Anonymousreply 20November 14, 2024 6:08 AM

will never get sick of this classic shoegaze ep

I can't stand any more of this Wicked shit. It's been nonstop for awhile now.

by Anonymousreply 26November 20, 2024 12:55 AM

The build-up for 6 months - enough already. I was sick of all their Wicked outfits during the Olympics - then awards shows.

We get it. But God damn - they are really going overboard with this. It's too much.

Hell yeah, I'm going to go see it!

by Anonymousreply 27November 20, 2024 2:25 AM

Wicker’s brand cosponsorships amounted to about $350 million in media exposure - which was not paid for by Universal who still paid an incredible $150 million in P&A.

It's kind of fun. At least there is celebration of music, a great story, dance and art in general. A fucking reprieve from all the damn politics. Life should be about this, not fucking MSNBC, The SPEW, FOX, Rachel Madcow, or politics.

by Anonymousreply 29November 26, 2024 1:24 AM

I heard today that when you go see it in a theater the audience insists on singing along.

by Anonymousreply 30November 26, 2024 2:12 AM

It’s not going anywhere, anytime soon, & the noms will be hitting awards season, so buckle up, OP.

by Anonymousreply 31November 26, 2024 2:17 AM

We are doomed that everything we hate for the next four years will be winners and in our faces. Just turn away.
