They had a big year! These are the Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue stars for 2024.
The annual Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue cover stars are here!

I have been de-personed and macro-aggressed.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 13, 2024 2:09 PM |
When they take photos like this, is everyone in the same room, or is it just photoshopped?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 13, 2024 2:14 PM |
I guess the morose pose is never to go out of style.
If anybody has cause to smile, it's this bunch.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 13, 2024 2:17 PM |
Why does Josh O'Connor look more like Zach Quinto than Josh O'Connor?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 13, 2024 2:18 PM |
I recognize about 3 people in this picture.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 13, 2024 2:22 PM |
Is Nicole Kidman playing their mother?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 13, 2024 2:34 PM |
I definitely know four of those twelve people, five if Josh O'Connor counts because somebody posted his name at R4. Quite why he chose to wear Ari Onassis' glasses I don't know. And I count that high because I watch a lot of British TV.
Nurse, what time is the applesauce coming?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 13, 2024 2:36 PM |
I look at magazine covers in the checkout line and I don't know who half the people on the covers are anymore. And I don't really care.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 13, 2024 2:38 PM |
Who the fuck is "Lisa"?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 13, 2024 2:39 PM |
Always wonder how it felt for those who are hidden when the cover is folded.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 13, 2024 2:44 PM |
So drab.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 13, 2024 2:45 PM |
It is so weird to find the aging process progressing in ME.
I was always the youngest one, the littlest kid in the group I hung out with, and now I find myself having no idea at all who the pop culture stars are. And no interest in finding out anything about them.
Those people just look they have eating disorders and are unhappy. I know that not smiling when being photographed is how the beautiful signify that “even when I’m morose I look good, unlike you,” but damn. All I see is overdressed limp noodles.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 13, 2024 2:45 PM |
Yeo Hollywood is on its way out.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 13, 2024 2:47 PM |
THAT’s the word I was looking for, R11. Thank you.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 13, 2024 2:47 PM |
I though Jonathan Bailey was Lucas Black or Wes Bentley.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 13, 2024 2:48 PM |
I only recognize Glen Powell
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 13, 2024 2:51 PM |
Bailey looks like the slow kid who was dressed by mom for the big fundraiser.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 13, 2024 2:51 PM |
I didn't recognize Josh O'Connor at all. What did they do to him? All of his dorky charm erased here.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 13, 2024 2:52 PM |
Hm. Glen, Zendaya, Nicole (WTF is she doing there?), Dev Patel?, Sydney Sweeny, don't know, someone who looks like a younger skinnier Taraji P Henson, 3 people I don't know, and Bill Skarsgard.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 13, 2024 3:00 PM |
Thank FUCK we're not being subjected to that weasel Chalamet this year.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 13, 2024 3:01 PM |
I am so sick of Nicole Kidman. She really should take 2025 off. Please.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 13, 2024 3:05 PM |
Me too R16. I guess I’ve aged out although I know VF pick mostly new “stars” if you want to call them that.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 13, 2024 3:05 PM |
I think I would rather see Demi Moore (who is having a renaissance) instead of Nicole.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 13, 2024 3:06 PM |
I didn’t recognize Nicole- ha!
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 13, 2024 3:06 PM |
The real question should be why is VF still being published?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 13, 2024 3:06 PM |
There’s Tits McGee, right where you’d expect her.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 13, 2024 3:08 PM |
Nicole looks younger and more vital than anyone in that group. She’s radiant and ravishing!
Truly a star for the ages.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 13, 2024 3:12 PM |
Josh O'Connor I was able to identify only by process of elimination, but he is the one person I am glad to see there. I think he's a superb actor and I'm happy for him to have found a second wave of recognition and a variety of roles.
One remakrable face in the annual Vanity Fair group photo sounds about right though.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 13, 2024 3:21 PM |
R21: She's an old woman in Hollywood. She takes what they give her.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 13, 2024 3:22 PM |
Seriously, Nicole is old enough to be my grandmother in Appalachia.
Who the fuck is the bitch blackmailing?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 13, 2024 3:24 PM |
For that matter, Sydney, how do you feel about not being on the same third as Glen?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 13, 2024 3:28 PM |
I'm proud (ashamed?) of myself that know exactly who Lisa is. Let's just say I'm not stranger to Kpop.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 13, 2024 3:32 PM |
"Is Nicole Kidman playing their mother?"
No! I'm still a babe; I'd be fucking all of them.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 13, 2024 3:33 PM |
The pictures of Glen Powell are hot, like a gay porn Jeffrey Dahmer
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 13, 2024 3:55 PM |
Ever since Radhika Jones took over as editor this publication looks like a low-brow bottom shelf magazine. This photo has no glamour, horrible lighting, horrible background and looks like part of a Sears package deal from the 70s.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 13, 2024 4:10 PM |
Sweeney is really the only one of the new actors with star power. The rest of the new actors look like they’re posing for a club photo for the yearbook.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 13, 2024 4:15 PM |
kind of a sad lineup. no glamour. no sex appeal. they're just there because someone has to be there to take up some space.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 13, 2024 4:22 PM |
When did Josh O'Connor turn into John Turturro?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 13, 2024 4:27 PM |
Yeah, who the hell is "Lisa"? So famous she gets to use a generic name like that without a last name? Even Kim Kardashian doesn't try to call herself "Kim."
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 13, 2024 4:29 PM |
The only ones I could identify were Nicole Kidman, Zendaya, Jonathan Bailey, Zoe Whatsername and the guy who played the clown in IT.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 13, 2024 4:32 PM |
Now I know why Vanity Fair is dying or is already DEAD!!
Nicole and Clamdaya should have switched clothing, who is Glen Powell?? What has Sweeney done?
Josh O'Connor is in Onassis glasses& had no idea who he was (watch PBS all the time), Jonathan Bailey (recognize the face).
The "Hot man in the purple suit", great color, have a suit jacket like that!! Are the rest DEI hires?
YES DL, I am old enough to get the Onassis reference, which is why I used it-Thanks.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 13, 2024 4:35 PM |
Gee, the only star from the upcoming "masterpiece" 🙄 "Wicked" is Jonathan Bailey. For all the screeching about how "ahh-may-zing!"and "ahh-summ!" they are, I certainly expected to see future Oscar winners (again, 🙄 ) Ariana doughnut licker Grandego and Cynthia Queer icon (and friend to Yada Yada "every white person be racist!" Smith) Egregious to make the cover. I guess they aren't as big a stars as they're arrogance and screaming fan grrrls would have us believe.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 13, 2024 4:38 PM |
This is their New Hollywood edition cover from 2012. Even in this grainy photo you can see there is no comparison to the garbage they produce in today's Vanity Fair.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 13, 2024 4:40 PM |
Not an Yvonne Craig in the bunch.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 13, 2024 4:41 PM |
it sorely lacks glamour! Meh!
by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 13, 2024 4:42 PM |
When they take photos like this, is everyone in the same room, or is it just photoshopped?
They were all there, They should have erased the guy in the sunglasses and put in Nicholas A. Chavez!
by Anonymous | reply 48 | November 13, 2024 4:55 PM |
Nick Chavez is too new. He just broke out. He can be on the 2025 issue if anything.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | November 13, 2024 4:56 PM |
I’m pretty sure they are photographed separately
by Anonymous | reply 50 | November 13, 2024 4:59 PM |
Well, they checked all the boxes.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 13, 2024 5:37 PM |
[quote] Always wonder how it felt for those who are hidden when the cover is folded.
They take multiple photos with multiple different arrangements, so at the time they're usually not aware as to whether they'll make it to the cover or not.

The first Hollywood issue was in 1995 and the controversy continues as Annie Leibowitz photographed the up and coming (future superstars) actresses in their underwear.
Gwyneth Paltrow didn't get the memo:
by Anonymous | reply 53 | November 13, 2024 5:47 PM |
R53 Sandra looks so uncomfortable.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | November 13, 2024 5:50 PM |
R4, I thought it WAS Zachary Quinto at first
by Anonymous | reply 55 | November 13, 2024 5:51 PM |
R53, that's looks like a police lineup after a late-night hooker round-up
by Anonymous | reply 56 | November 13, 2024 5:51 PM |
Jonathan Bailey looks good
by Anonymous | reply 57 | November 13, 2024 5:54 PM |
A bunch of nobodies.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 13, 2024 5:58 PM |
Wan, wispy, anemic whispercoos.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | November 13, 2024 5:59 PM |
[quote] I am so sick of Nicole Kidman. She really should take 2025 off. Please.
I am not. I want her and her awful plastic surgery to keep getting high-paying roles. If I were her I would work tirelessly, in anything, until I was 65 then retire like everyone else. Same for Cate Blanchett.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | November 13, 2024 6:08 PM |
I didn't even recognize Jonathan Bailey until reading this thread.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | November 13, 2024 6:13 PM |
Is Nicole on the cover because she was front and center on the cover of first Hollywood issue, published 30 years ago?
by Anonymous | reply 62 | November 13, 2024 6:15 PM |
Why is Doctor Who there? Is he in so pmething other than Doctor Who?
by Anonymous | reply 63 | November 13, 2024 6:19 PM |
R62: Using this scenario, Nicole is Robert Duvall -
by Anonymous | reply 64 | November 13, 2024 6:25 PM |
In the R53 photo who is the dark-haired lady next to Gwyneth?
by Anonymous | reply 65 | November 13, 2024 6:27 PM |
Jennifer Jason Leigh.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | November 13, 2024 6:28 PM |
Lara Flynn Boyle or Linda Fiorentino?
by Anonymous | reply 67 | November 13, 2024 6:30 PM |
R65 - The topless dark haired actress is Linda Fiorentino.
At the time, she was praised for her performance in 'The Last Seduction'. She did a few more films, but nothing as happened and she sort of faded into obscurity.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | November 13, 2024 6:32 PM |
My bad, it is Linda.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | November 13, 2024 6:38 PM |
"Sydney Sweeney"
Whore
by Anonymous | reply 70 | November 13, 2024 7:35 PM |
Can't name any of them and blissfully happy about that.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | November 13, 2024 7:45 PM |
No, they weren’t all in the same room. They were each paired off and it was edited to all be together. Zendaya and Glenn were paired.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | November 13, 2024 7:46 PM |
I so wish they had a Hollywood issue in 1975: Debralee Scott, Joyce Dewitt, Roy Buktenica, Jeff Conaway, Nancy Dussault, Pat Harrington, and Robert Heyges! It would have been amazing!
by Anonymous | reply 75 | November 13, 2024 7:51 PM |
Lisa is a Thai rapper and singer who is the center member of the K-Pop group Blackpink. She is making her acting debut in The White Lotus season 3.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | November 13, 2024 7:56 PM |
Should I read something into this?
by Anonymous | reply 77 | November 13, 2024 7:57 PM |
When I first looked at Bailey, I thought it was Bradley Cooper.
Kidman is there because of the upcoming film BABYGIRL.
O'Connor looks ridiculous, like he's auditioning for a Grade B Italian movie from the 60s.
No idea why Ncuti Gatwa (aka guy in the purple suit) is there. He had a small role in BARBIE and the rest of his limited fame is from TV (SEX EDUCATION, DR. WHO).
by Anonymous | reply 78 | November 13, 2024 8:06 PM |
R75 -
VF did an tribute issue on Television, also in 1995, which I thought would be similar to the Hollywood issue and printed once a year, but it didn't happen. Here's the cover:

[quote]No idea why Ncuti Gatwa (aka guy in the purple suit) is there.
The cynic in me says the glee of his personality, who he goes to bed with and you can't pronounce his name. They're all coasting on "You know, the black British guy from Will & Grace."
by Anonymous | reply 80 | November 13, 2024 8:33 PM |
Why is Nicole so attention seeking?
by Anonymous | reply 81 | November 13, 2024 8:38 PM |

So they put the 6-member cast of "Friends" on the cover and called it a day. Boring.

[quote] Why is Nicole so attention seeking?
I ask that same question, r81.
Sure, she's an actress, r82.
But I detect in Kidman a neediness that's absent on other accomplished actors at the same stage of career and stature.
Ok, Jennifer Lopez is needy too, of course, but she's kind of in class by herself in her particular stardom niche.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | November 14, 2024 12:24 AM |
on other - in other ^
by Anonymous | reply 90 | November 14, 2024 12:25 AM |
The first years of the Hollywood issue always featured a great article or at least a paean to a great star from the Golden Age, thereby making a connection to the day’s rising stars. Well they’re mostly gone now — do they still include that type of article? It would probably have to be stars of the 1960s or 70s, but not many of them have the same mystique.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | November 14, 2024 1:06 AM |
r64 Such a good year: favorite actor Andrew Garfield, plus Jake Gyllenhaal, Jesse Eisenberg, and James Franco. But especially Andrew Garfield.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | November 14, 2024 1:14 AM |
So they put the 6-member cast of "Friends" on the cover and called it a day
R86 - only 3 Friends in the pic.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | November 14, 2024 1:26 AM |
It was both Friends and ER castmembers, it was a comprehensive look at television at the time...
by Anonymous | reply 94 | November 14, 2024 1:28 AM |
Oh shoot, I thought I saw all 6 Friends. I'm betting the remaining 3 are behind the fold.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | November 14, 2024 1:29 AM |
Good, they didn't include those idiot Monster actors.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | November 14, 2024 1:41 AM |
Is that East Clint's son (on the far left)?
by Anonymous | reply 97 | November 14, 2024 1:48 AM |
Okay I stand corrected, some of them are in the studio at the same time. Must be a nightmare to schedule.
by Anonymous | reply 98 | November 14, 2024 1:52 AM |
R97 - his name is on the bottom of the pic.
by Anonymous | reply 99 | November 14, 2024 1:54 AM |
I remember when some of the original covers came out that not only were they not in the same studio but occasionally not on the same continent. The cover with Cate Blanchett draped over Vanessa Redgrave comes to mind - it was shot in LA, New York and Paris or London. Then Liebovitz spliced them all together. Not always successfully - this was the one where Chloe Sevigny was lying on the floor at someone's feet but her body below the hips doesn't exist.
by Anonymous | reply 100 | November 14, 2024 2:14 AM |
You want on the cover?
Show up.
by Anonymous | reply 101 | November 14, 2024 2:24 AM |
I can't stand Annie Liebowitz. All her ideas are so predictable: women in underwear!
by Anonymous | reply 102 | November 14, 2024 2:29 AM |
Stars?
by Anonymous | reply 103 | November 14, 2024 2:30 AM |
I recognise that Latina girl, but who is that old trans lady in the blue dress?
by Anonymous | reply 104 | November 14, 2024 9:29 AM |
[quote] Must be a nightmare to schedule.
I think R101 is right —it’s likely that an offer to be on the VF Hollywood cover still has undeniable cachet in stars’ minds (or more likely in that of their agents). “We’re shooting on the 8th. Be there.”
by Anonymous | reply 105 | November 14, 2024 10:43 AM |
Oh, I Soo don't care
by Anonymous | reply 106 | November 14, 2024 11:06 AM |
Go away, Nicole.
Take your wife with you.
by Anonymous | reply 107 | November 14, 2024 12:19 PM |
Back in the day, the Hollywood covers were shot day after or before the Golden Globes.
The 2003 cover is one of my all-time favorites:
by Anonymous | reply 108 | November 14, 2024 1:27 PM |
I know every single person in r108's pic.
by Anonymous | reply 109 | November 14, 2024 2:46 PM |
I see matt damon but not ben affleck
by Anonymous | reply 110 | November 14, 2024 3:27 PM |
Who’s next to Damon? Blurry…
by Anonymous | reply 111 | November 14, 2024 3:30 PM |
^^Ewan McGregor
by Anonymous | reply 112 | November 14, 2024 3:33 PM |
Now that's more like it at R108. Look at all that hotness.
by Anonymous | reply 113 | November 14, 2024 5:41 PM |
I would have picked Demi over Nicole for the "aging star" spot.
Love Ncuti Gatwa but not sure why he's on this cover, other than the fact he's hot and black. He's not "Hollywood" and he's a TV star at the present.
And, they needed a hot older man....Daniel Craig would have been a good choice. He's got Oscar buzz this year.
by Anonymous | reply 114 | November 14, 2024 6:51 PM |
R111, it's Ewan McGregor.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | November 14, 2024 7:06 PM |
Have VF ever done a similar cover featuring singers only? That would've been interesting.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | November 14, 2024 10:00 PM |
I know "back in the day" singers were seldom good gets for these kinds of magazine covers. It's all about the current hot film star. Sometimes TV if they're super hot.
by Anonymous | reply 117 | November 15, 2024 12:29 AM |
LISA. Fucking keeping-up-with-the-Joneses globalist media trying to gaslight us into thinking some KPop nobody deserves to be on a cover with Kidman…
by Anonymous | reply 118 | November 15, 2024 12:37 AM |
LOL...I love how only Dataloungers believe Vanity Fair is a thing anymore. What is this, 1994? The have basically no subscription and their website is a joke. The dominance of Insta, etc, has deflated awareness of and respect for VF. Poor Graydon can't sit in a corner and deem who's in/who's out anymore. It's dead. The only one left who is succeeding at that old, old game is Wintour and even she's beginning to lose out. It's a different world, a new game, and too many ways to be "cool." The committee no longer rules.
by Anonymous | reply 119 | November 15, 2024 12:45 AM |
Yes, this Lisa girl (never heard of her before) is an odd choice. She's done basically nothing, at least have the young actors and actresses on the VF Hollywood cover have a few well-known credits first.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | November 15, 2024 12:49 AM |
I don't recall anyone stating on here that they think Vanity Fair is "a thing". It's mostly making fun of their odd choices for their Hollywood cover.
FYI: Graydon has been gone from VF for quite some time.
by Anonymous | reply 121 | November 15, 2024 12:49 AM |
They have to do a diverse cover. Apparently, Ncuti and Lisa were the first black male/asian female to say "yes" for this year's shoot.
by Anonymous | reply 122 | November 15, 2024 12:51 AM |
So sick of celebrities.
by Anonymous | reply 123 | November 15, 2024 12:52 AM |
I guess they chose Lisa because Awkwafina is too busted-looking for a cover.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | November 15, 2024 12:52 AM |
Sigh...I know. Why doesn't Vanity Fair go back to putting truck drivers and housewives on their cover? REAL people!!!
by Anonymous | reply 125 | November 15, 2024 12:53 AM |
To the people on the 3rd page of the gatefold:
Your publicist is working hate because they landed you this cover…
…but not hard enough because I have no fucking idea who you are.

I miss the profiles of ancient Manhattan socialites.
by Anonymous | reply 127 | November 15, 2024 12:57 AM |

Or, rather, attractive as in "small town attractive with really low bar for attractive because all the real hotties instantly move away once they graduate high school'.

I preferred Lisa Lisa to just Lisa.

Doctor Who is on the Hollywood cover? I think they film that at Pinewood.
by Anonymous | reply 133 | November 15, 2024 1:07 AM |
Dev Patel had a great year? I missed that.
by Anonymous | reply 134 | November 15, 2024 1:09 AM |
R98, I’m sure scheduling has a lot to do with who ends up on the cover.
Looks like a lot of the “waitlisted/pencilled” talent got bumped up to the cover.
by Anonymous | reply 135 | November 15, 2024 1:17 AM |
Mikey Madison had the good sense to avoid this cringe fest.

He's the "small town attractive" guy on the Dateline episode who starts an affair with a married woman with big hair and long fingernails and then ends up getting killed by the woman's redneck husband.

Chloe Sevigny r141
by Anonymous | reply 142 | November 15, 2024 1:39 AM |
R140 we need to swap out GOOP and Chloe for it to be perfect. They didn't really live up to the promise. Who at that time would have been a replacement? In that age range. Discuss.
My thoughts:
Reese
Juliette Binoche
Jodie
Emma Stone would be perfect if she wasn't too young
Angelina
Rachel Weisz

R140, you’re such a bitch. lol
by Anonymous | reply 144 | November 15, 2024 1:50 AM |
They should have gone with Rina Sawayama who is singer/model and was in a popular movie (John Wick 4). But I do like the suggestion of Awkwafina, she's quite the powerhouse. And she can be attractive with the right makeup/hair/wardrobe.

So that’s the infamous “half-bodied” Chloe Sevigny? She looks ridiculous. Are you sure it’s her?
by Anonymous | reply 146 | November 15, 2024 1:53 AM |
Goop belonged there, she was huge at the time. But Jesus, Sevigny, what were they thinking.
Angelina or Binoche; Natalie Portman or Charlize.
by Anonymous | reply 147 | November 15, 2024 2:00 AM |
Why Catherine Deneuve?
by Anonymous | reply 148 | November 15, 2024 2:16 AM |
Chloe Sevigny looks like she's crawling up out of a hole in the floor. Like they locked her in the basement because she wasn't fabulous enough and managed to escape just in time for Annie Leibovitz to shout "say cheese!"

Here's the Friends/ER Dec 1995 full cover that was being talked about earlier

I've always liked the VF Hollywood 1996 cover. Look at how young and cute Leo and McBongo were.
by Anonymous | reply 151 | November 15, 2024 2:35 AM |
The Legends cover with Meryl, Deneuve, etc. is my favorite. To say that actresses today were pale in comparison is an understatement.
LOL at Nicole on this new one trying to look young and hip. Her craven efforts to remain in the public eye are pathetic.
by Anonymous | reply 152 | November 15, 2024 2:45 AM |
It was hilarious how Nicole was still playing the mother of a child in elementary school in that HBO thing she did not too long ago. Bitch, you're old enough that you could be a GRANDMOTHER!
by Anonymous | reply 153 | November 15, 2024 2:52 AM |
This could be almost as much fun as the annual old-school office Christmas Party photo thread.
by Anonymous | reply 154 | November 15, 2024 2:59 AM |
I'll pretend you didn't say that R148.

Post Graydon, Vanity Fair has become CAA's company newsletter.
by Anonymous | reply 156 | November 15, 2024 5:05 AM |
Granny Nicole shouldn't be there. Zendeya is lovely.
by Anonymous | reply 157 | November 15, 2024 5:23 AM |
R151, who is the 1st person on the Leo cover?
Also, mostly a bunch of flashes in the pan on that cover.
by Anonymous | reply 158 | November 15, 2024 5:55 AM |
Is it Tim Roth??
by Anonymous | reply 159 | November 15, 2024 5:56 AM |
Nicole trying to squeeze in there like she’s some fresh dewey ingenue is funny. The caption for her interview should be: “Death becomes her.”
by Anonymous | reply 160 | November 15, 2024 6:00 AM |
If they couldn’t have Cooper Koch couldn’t they at least have put Cooper Koch’s dick on the cover?
by Anonymous | reply 161 | November 15, 2024 6:02 AM |
Matt Bomer's face would have lit up that pic.

I don't recognize half the guys at R151, can someone help?
I see Tim Roth, Leo, McBongo, Benecio del Toro, dunno, dunno, dunno, dunno, Will Smith, is that Depp on the end?

Tim Roth, Leo, McBongo, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Rappaport, Stephen Dorff, Jonathan Schaech, David Arquette, Will Smith, Skeet Ulrich

To R127, I miss those articles too& the old Vanity Fair.
To R140, Thanks for the larger photo, but look at the articles. It's the only magazine I never subscribed to every year, then the best writers died. Then it sucked!!
by Anonymous | reply 171 | November 15, 2024 4:45 PM |
Do you think he minds his nickname: McBongo?
by Anonymous | reply 172 | November 15, 2024 6:48 PM |
Macy Gray! Now there's someone who's stood the test of time!

To R171...that's me-Phillywhore. The word I should have typed is ever, not never.
I would sell my soul to the DEVIL for an edit button; however I sold it for my family.

The magazine went into the toilet after beloved DL icon Kevin Sessums left!!!!!

Yeah, The Rock for one, you certainly don't consider him an actor do you?
by Anonymous | reply 177 | November 16, 2024 4:42 AM |
What is a "magazine"?
by Anonymous | reply 178 | November 16, 2024 5:13 PM |
Who are these people?
by Anonymous | reply 179 | November 16, 2024 6:04 PM |
To R177, The Rock is a money-making machine for whatever studio he is making movies at!!
He can call himself whatever the fuck he wants to call himself.
by Anonymous | reply 180 | November 16, 2024 6:09 PM |
Just a question, please: where exactly are the stars? Because all I see is Nicole Kidman surrounded by people who nobody will remember in five years, or DEI hires.
As for The Rock, R180, he is not an actor. He is a product who will cynically say and do anything that market and media analysts indicate to him as increasing the likelihood of expanding his income base. He has no talent, but countless little kids who dream of becoming their favourite superhero will follow him because well, he is the personification of a cartoon.
by Anonymous | reply 181 | November 16, 2024 6:17 PM |
To R180, I agree with you, Rock is not an actor, and what you posted is absolutely correct!

I've always been annoyed by these wrestling/sports guys who get into acting. They always suck.
by Anonymous | reply 183 | November 17, 2024 2:15 AM |
John Cena seems to have gotten an acting career out of wrestling, always got an undertow of gayness from him.
However, he is funny though.
by Anonymous | reply 184 | November 17, 2024 2:24 AM |
The Rock and my former agent used me like a cheap whore!
by Anonymous | reply 185 | November 17, 2024 2:33 AM |
But they’re not acting, R183 - they are being overly muscled B grade personalities around whom bad franchise movies are built.
At least sometimes (for me, Cena, the Rock even going back decades Dolph Lundgren and Sylvester Stallone) can be nice to look at when partially undressed. Nobody is pretending that they’re Oscar winning material and they’re in on the act - everybody’s happy!
by Anonymous | reply 186 | November 17, 2024 2:49 AM |
I think Dave Bautista is a decent actor (Blade Runner 2049 and Room 104), but he hurts my eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 187 | November 17, 2024 3:27 AM |
Was Glenn Close ever on a Vanity Fair Hollywood issue cover?
by Anonymous | reply 188 | November 17, 2024 5:00 AM |
No, but I do recall her being on the cover of the Valley Village Pennysaver back in the day when she was promoting Maxie
by Anonymous | reply 189 | November 17, 2024 6:01 AM |
[quote]I've always been annoyed by these wrestling/sports guys who get into acting. They always suck.
Was surprised how good Mr Taylor Swift was in "Grotesquerie", he held his own. As for Cena, he was funny as Lucas Cruikshank's dad in "Fed The Movie" and was good in Amy Shumer's "Trainwreck". He's done lots of voice work. If he didn't look like a human cartoon, he has potential. As for Cena's "undertow of gayness", his brother is gay and married and they are close and Cena is an advocate.

They should do an Oscar winners cover
Sissy Spacek
Julianne Moore
Lupita Nyongo
Sally Field
Charlize Theron
Michelle Yeoh
Regina King
Meryl
Olivia Colman
Helen Mirren
Emma Stone

Glen Powell has a face like a man who overdid the plastic surgery to thin his nose and lips..and yet that's just how he looks naturally.

Glen Powell is a "movie" star. That tells you everything you need to know about what's left of the film industry...

Glen Powell starred in a movie. He hasn't "opened" a movie yet.
