Theory: White men will only vote for white men.

It is the brilliant manouever that Top Perez pulled gettin all the Dems to support. In 2020 we had Men: Biden, Bloomberg, Booker, Buttigieg, Holder, Kerry and O’Rourke.

Hetero White men: Biden, Bloomberg, Kerry and O'Rourke.

Tom Perex chose Biden. O'Rourke was too new, Bloomberg too Jewish, and Kerry was already swift boated.

Can people suggest who would be a good Prez candidate when Trump runs for his third term in 2028?

Me, I really like Pritzker.

I may not move out of the US, but I may move back to Chicago.

by Anonymousreply 1November 10, 2024 9:33 PM

Op, my husband was in the White House for 8 years.

EPIC FAILURE OF A THREAD

by Anonymousreply 2November 10, 2024 9:36 PM

Top Perez

Tom Perex

by Anonymousreply 3November 10, 2024 9:37 PM

FUCK OFF OP!

by Anonymousreply 4November 10, 2024 9:39 PM

R2, Obama appealed to that lockerroom, sports negro image. He was a Trumpian candidate from Central Casting. The fact that he was brilliant didn't get in the way. But do you really expect an Eric Holder to get elected? Who knows?

Please do not tell me to fuck off, I've been her too long and am not a stranger here myself.

So, then, who are the old MALE candidates that could get elected.

by Anonymousreply 5November 10, 2024 9:53 PM

Here we go with the " race, race, race" shit. The public is sick and tired of hearing " race." Move on.

by Anonymousreply 6November 10, 2024 9:57 PM

R5 Has Eric Holder even held a position in which people vote? Maybe when he was a DC superior court judge. Listen I just don’t agree with your take OP. Colin Powell could have won a presidency. Hell, if Michael Jordan has any political inclinations I believe he could win the presidency one day.

by Anonymousreply 7November 10, 2024 9:59 PM

r6, is there a Reason why Republicans only nominate white people? Is it because white people have been ingrained as to be the true leaders of America?

Just saying if Democrats want a level field, we have to go white person to white person like in 2020.

Obama had the whitest, most seasoned VP in History.

McCain/Palin in 2008, Romney/Ryan 2012 all white.

But where are the Whit Men of the Democratic Party today?

by Anonymousreply 8November 10, 2024 10:14 PM

White women will not vote for any woman, black or white.

by Anonymousreply 9November 10, 2024 10:15 PM

R8 They’re making hotdish.

by Anonymousreply 10November 10, 2024 10:26 PM

Colin Powell could not have won the presidency after lying to the UN about the Iraq War.

by Anonymousreply 11November 10, 2024 10:30 PM

Also stop saying the word negro. It’s 2024. Unless you black and saying it for emphasis.

by Anonymousreply 12November 10, 2024 10:31 PM

I don’t believe white men voted for Obama by a majority

by Anonymousreply 13November 10, 2024 10:50 PM

If Kamala won, we would have had Hayley/Harris 2028 imo. That would have blown away all glass ceilings on gender and race and ethnicity and would have been very healing for the country. A real page turner and from then on we could have chosen the best person. Single, childless, gay, Asian, Jewish, whatever. Instead, we're stuck picking the best middle aged Christian white guy who is married with children. That in itself is a form of 'DEI' as we are picking someone based on race and gender first. But frankly we don't deserve any better so bring on another white guy with middle of the road policies.

And I'm still not sold on a fair 2028 election. I heard a discussion earlier about how Trump could get himself a 3rd term. I was too nauseous to listen in full but it seemed to be not totally impossible. They were discussing ways - plural - that he might pull it off.

by Anonymousreply 14November 10, 2024 11:20 PM

I believe that Trump will definitely go for a third term.

by Anonymousreply 15November 10, 2024 11:29 PM

I’m a white man and I voted for a Jamaican/Indian woman.

I’ve also voted for a black man (twice) and a white woman.

by Anonymousreply 16November 10, 2024 11:35 PM

Didnt like 45% of white men vote for a brown woman this election?

by Anonymousreply 17November 10, 2024 11:57 PM

We are not talking about non-racist men.

by Anonymousreply 18November 11, 2024 12:30 AM

We're also talking about white women not voting for a non-white person.

by Anonymousreply 19November 11, 2024 12:33 AM

Obama didn’t get the majority of white men. Look these setbacks should not discourage us from being sensible and not being racist. Hillary, in my opinion, was not a good campaigner. Kamala was much better but had too much Biden baggage. I also believe she gets nervous with off the cuff questions. I don’t she is a nervous person overall though. This was always the repubs election year to lose. We suffered a global pandemic 4 years ago which completely disrupted supply chain. In addition we are dealing with the ever growing animal that is social media.

by Anonymousreply 20November 11, 2024 12:36 AM

Biden baggage is a Trump/Fox/Propaganda phrase.

There was no Biden baggage except a ton of legislative accomplishments.

AlienonMars is Teacake's newest alias.

by Anonymousreply 22November 11, 2024 4:15 AM

[quote]I believe that Trump will definitely go for a third term.

He can't.

It'll be JD Vance.

by Anonymousreply 23November 11, 2024 4:23 AM

Trump will absolutely try for a third term, calling the second term a new, first term, which entitles him to a second. You are out of your fucking mind if you think the constitution will slow him down one iota. And the MAGA crowd will absolutely go for it.

by Anonymousreply 24November 11, 2024 3:38 PM

Trump will be 82 in 2028, if he even lives that long.
