Was it really that great?

Accomplishments or voting numbers?

Because if we’re discussing his past accomplishments, all I remember is a pandemic where millions of Americans lost their income, their housing, & their lives, or the lives of those they loved.

He accomplished very little, and we are lucky for that.

Trump inherited an unusually stable economy from Obama and, whether by luck or by competent people doing some steering, it was an extremely healthy economy for the 3 full years from his inauguration until Covid destroyed it. Then Biden defeated Trump but got stuck with the blame for the post-Covid inflation surge and soaring cost of living.

That is the #1 thing that helped Trump win re-election.

Trump didn’t accomplish shit in terms of executive orders and he did some considerable damage. But voters do remember the good years 2017-2019 and how they felt economically, vs how they felt in 2021-2023.

Actually, R3, Trump inherited a growing economy because we were still digging out of the 2008 financial crisis.

God, he’s an ugly man.
