Christmas/Hanukkah/Winter Season Cards

**Warning Eldergay Topic**

How many of you are planning on sending out cards this year? I’ve got all my boxes bought and have ordered my stamps and addresses labels already. It’ll be an especially welcome diversion this year.

I still send cards out, and I buy a couple of fancy, fold-out cards on Etsy for the couple of friends who I really depend on. I don't receive many cards anymore, but that's okay.

Interesting R2. I get my address labels from a vendor on Etsy now that Bachcroft no longer seems to exist.

Costco has some really nice "handmade" cards every year. I buy those and send a few out.

This year I'm not doing ANYTHING Christmas related until after Thanksgiving. Just a new rule I've established for myself.

I haven't sent out Christmas cards since the Clinton Administration.

Unless you’re a corporation, it’s too early to mail Xmas cards.

by Anonymousreply 6November 17, 2024 8:59 PM

R1 anyone at any age may buy and may receive a Christmas card. It’s considered a holiday tradition like putting up a Christmas tree, baking holiday cookies, gift giving, etc. You obviously live a small, shit life and are ignorant as fuck.

Christmas cards? I've been studying for exams!

I'll GET the cards... out on time, okay?

I still send cards but receive fewer and fewer. Sending cards is of course a gesture of friendship and love as well as a celebration of rebirth. To send your love out into the world and expect no response is the wise man's path. But it's harder each year. So many are gone from us. My oldest sister and my gay nephew send cards; she's 82 and he's in his early 50s, and I think he does it in memory of his mother who died a few years back. But my post has led me to tears.

I know: Mary!

I still send cards but it's getting hard to find ones I like.

For the non-religious cards I really like Peter Pauper cards.

Finding quality religious Christmas cards in stock is increasingly a challenge.

I found some Peter Pauper cards I really liked several years ago but haven't come across any since. Can't seem to find any decent Hallmark ones, all I see is that freaky suicidal marshmallow figure in hot chocolate.

I’m sending out Krampus cards.
