Abortion and the election

Wow, turns out women really are stupid.

They voted for abortion in their states but voted against the party that would work to guarantee abortion rights nationally. They voted for an ever-conservative SCOTUS that won’t relook at abortion for at least another 50 years.

Most pathetically, they think the issue is settled. In fact, then entire GOP is lined up to ban the abortion pill that is used in 60% of abortions. FDA will revoke approval, and the Comstock Act will be used to ban mailing it. Doctors who prescribe it across state lines will be jailed.

Congrats, ladies! Great job!

Women are pussies

It’s not even elective abortions average (ie MAGA) women should be bothered about. It’s dying because your doctors don’t have permission to perform a D&C because the gestating child is dying inside you but they can still detect a heartbeat.

What’s the obsession with heartbeats being *the* determining factor when it comes to survival? The heart is just a pump and the mother’s body acts like a life support machine.

I think people are taken in by poetry and metaphor when it comes to the idea of a heart and actual physiology.

by Anonymousreply 3November 10, 2024 2:06 PM

White women think only poor brown women will be harmed.

But it’s affecting all of them. The most recently released report of a woman dying in Texas was of a white woman.

White women identify more with their race than their gender

by Anonymousreply 4November 10, 2024 2:11 PM

Crime and money affect money before an abortion and Democrats lost millions of women when they started gaslighting the public into believing men can be women. Democrats put women at risk by letting them into female-only spaces. It’s the one thing, and I mean the only thing, Megan McCain was right on - Democrats cannot even tell you what a woman is yet they want you to vote for one while proclaiming they’re for women. They’ve turned women into chest feeders and birthing people. Enough.

by Anonymousreply 5November 10, 2024 2:14 PM

Many voting age women cannot reproduce (past menopause), so I don't know if they're stupid, as much they don't care.

by Anonymousreply 6November 10, 2024 2:19 PM

Enough R5.

by Anonymousreply 7November 10, 2024 2:19 PM

People just don’t like women. They find them irritating.

Sorry, I don’t set public opinion.

r4, and they bought the lie as white women are already dying because of medical issues

by Anonymousreply 9November 10, 2024 2:24 PM

Let's face it, the democrats are to blame for Roe being overturned. The NEVER had a Supreme Court strategy and they just watched as republicans chipped away at it. People remember that. They remember the democrats not even trying to codify Roe when Obama was president. They also remember when Roe was overturned - not 3 minutes later they started receiving emails and texts from Nancy Pelosi and lots of other politicians begging for more money.

Since Roe was overturned a lot of people took a very good look at the democrats and realized they didn't like the party

by Anonymousreply 10November 10, 2024 2:27 PM

SCOTUS wasn’t even brought up once by the Dems this election unfortunately.

by Anonymousreply 11November 10, 2024 2:31 PM

R5, that wasn’t even a issue this election no matter who much you want it to be

by Anonymousreply 12November 10, 2024 2:32 PM
Let's face it, the democrats are to blame for Roe being overturned.

No they’re not. This is all on the GOP. Apparently women don’t care. So give them what they voted for

Bleed to death, bitch. You got owned

by Anonymousreply 13November 10, 2024 2:33 PM
Many voting age women cannot reproduce (past menopause), so I don't know if they're stupid, as much they don't care.

And they apparently don’t care about their daughters

by Anonymousreply 14November 10, 2024 2:34 PM

Women constantly sabotage themselves.

I’m not fighting for them if they don’t fight for themselves

by Anonymousreply 15November 10, 2024 2:34 PM

Every chance I get, I'm going to vote for banning abortion.

I'll show these fuckers.

If they want to take away my rights, I'll take away theirs.

by Anonymousreply 16November 10, 2024 3:05 PM

You guys are assholes.

There. I said it.

by Anonymousreply 17November 10, 2024 3:16 PM
that wasn’t even a issue this election no matter who much you want it to be

Bwahahaha! That’s what they ran on, dumbass. Jesus Christ, no wonder why Republicans swept the entire country.

by Anonymousreply 18November 10, 2024 3:18 PM

Anyone who is around a lot of white women enough knows there are many of them who are the first to back-stab another woman. They love the action of doing it. And they are gleeful about watching and gossiping about the fallout of their back-stabbing.

If the main issue the Democrats had run on involved those same white women mama-bearing boys or men, the outcome would have been different. They would have jumped through flaming hoops wearing lighter-fluid soaked granny drawers for even some random man, so they can post about doing so on TikTok and Facebook.

by Anonymousreply 19November 10, 2024 3:19 PM

The ads about Kamala wanting men in your daughter’s bathrooms and taking their scholarships away ran non-stop. They ran THREE anti-trans ads.

I've been surrounded by white women all my life, and I have never seen this.

Just goes to show you how many gay men hate women (as if I didn't know that already).

by Anonymousreply 21November 10, 2024 3:24 PM

Not women OP, white KARENS.

Most black, latina and asian women voted against him, also 47% of white women wanted Kamala as president, that’s not a small number and if you were to exclude the youngest boomers and generation X women, Kamala would’ve probably received the votes of 55% of women.

It’s white women aged 45 - 60/62 who represent this anti-woman trend.

by Anonymousreply 22November 10, 2024 3:50 PM
Some women hate other women getting ahead

I've said this over and over again in different threads here this past week. I can't believe the number of women I know (all ages, education levels, races, incomes, professions) who were 'riding with Biden' until Harris stepped in. They said they 'couldn't stand her' and were voting Trump, or sitting this one out. Harris was not going to get their votes. When I kept asking 'Why? What policies of hers differs so much from Biden that you won't support her ?" Their answer was simply, "I just don't like her."

And - as I said in the earlier threads - it reminded me of my last job in a college library where I was one of two men surrounded by 13 women. Those women were all smiles and 'talking kiddos' to each other to their faces, but once they went their separate ways, the knives came out. They would purposely do things to each other to sabotage the other's chances of getting ahead. It was awful.

Women don’t like working for women. Women are catty and make everything personal. They’re simply wired differently than men. Everything turns into high school and Mean Girls.

by Anonymousreply 25November 10, 2024 4:08 PM

So much misogyny from so called liberals who cry about when the right are.

Kamala losing has exposed white liberals for the sexist and racist hypocrites they truly are.

Bye, Karen!

And don't let the door hit you on your fat ass, on the way out!

Go vote for Donald Dump the criminal pussy grabbing rapist again.

"He'll protect you." ROFL.

by Anonymousreply 27November 10, 2024 4:12 PM

I wrote on one of the (many) other election post-mortem threads that what this election has burned into my memory forever is that men hate women, but women really, really hate women. And while this is a reflection mostly of white women, specifically those with a college degree, we should have realized before the election that whites are still the majority in this nation, they're scared, and they're going to do everything [bold]and anything[/bold] to retain power. Anybody really think it's a coincidence that two of the luminaries of this election were two dudes from South Africa, both of whom were intimately familiar with apartheid?

I'm part of the Democratic coalition that looks back now and asks: "What were we thinking?" After 2016, in which we saw educated women vote against the most qualified candidate to run for the office in the history of the nation merely because she also had a vagina, you'd think we would have learned our lesson. I mean, it's a tragedy that Americans can't accept women in positions of power, but that's the way it is. And that is the way it will be for at least another hundred years, if not longer.

If the Democrats put up another woman for POTUS in my lifetime, I will leave the party and never vote again. I can't bring myself to vote for a Republican, but I am completely justified in saying that I won't vote for, support, of participate in the utter stupidity of putting a woman at the top of the ticket again. We've done it twice, and this time it's costing us our way of life. America won't be the same in our lifetimes. We're flushing our futures down the toilet because if putting a woman in charge is the Democrats' answer, most people gave up everything that actually made this country great rather than have that.

by Anonymousreply 28November 10, 2024 4:13 PM

Are you a gay man, R28? Just curious.

by Anonymousreply 29November 10, 2024 4:29 PM

Women turned up in support of reproductive rights last week, even in red states like Missouri. But they also voted for anti-choice candidates like Josh Hawley and aren't willing to penalize Donald Trump for his Supreme Court's actions.

The same cognitive dissonance is there with male Trump voters. Why would trade unionists support Trump? Or business owners (and their employees) who would be hurt by tariffs? How can you fly a "Don't Tread on Me" flag when J.D. Vance wants to dictate your marital, reproductive and medical decisions?

Some of it's explained by pure political ignorance, but toxic identity politics play a larger role.

“ Kamala losing has exposed white liberals for the sexist and racist hypocrites they truly are. “

You have a lot of nerve mentioning racism and sexism after voting for the perennial sexual harasser, Ms. Karen Kunt.

Don’t come crying to us about how evil and perverted men are if he ever GRABS YOU BY THE PUSSY.

by Anonymousreply 32November 10, 2024 4:41 PM

“ in the utter stupidity of putting a woman at the top of the ticket again. ”

It’s not stupid, women are 50% of the population and none of them are as cynical or as unhinged as Donald Dump, frankly this election should have been Kamala Harris VS Nikki Haley; because it’s weird that the USA still hasn’t had a female president by the mid-2020s.

by Anonymousreply 34November 10, 2024 4:48 PM

This is bullshit. Blue voters, especially women ( young, reproductive age, older) came out en masse to vote for Harris because the Dems made reproductive rights one of the Centerpoints of the campaign.. If more MAGA voters voted, they are the ones who are completely delusional, indoctrinated, or simply don't give a shit about reproductive care because they will never be affected personally. Their daughters will all remain virgins until married; All their wives and loved ones pregnancies will be perfect with no complications or chance of miscarriage, Their loved ones will never be raped because they have guns and the "government will protect them.. They are completely ignorant, misinformed or don't give a shit about sexual reproduction, human physiology, or women's health care. They literally have no knowledge of high risk pregnancies ( where there is both danger to the fetus and the moter), they are so stupid that they don't understand that women take birth control and hormones for a vast variety of reason besides birth control, and most of all they are deeply immersed din philisophical/religious doctrine which proclaims a patriarchy the word of God. Because they are completly selfish, and live in the suspended reality they are spcial, imperviable , and untouchable (and no doubt morally superior), they are confident that no harm will come to them. They are the voting majority, and now all of American Society will pay for their stupidity, indoctrination and simply not giving a fuck about other people's health or well-being.

protect them

dems made reproductive

by Anonymousreply 35November 10, 2024 4:57 PM

Women can go back to using coat hangers, for all I care.

Let them enjoy the Trump Theocracy Handmaid's Tale that they voted for.

Don't come crying to me.

I don't give a shit any more.

by Anonymousreply 36November 10, 2024 5:02 PM

Yes, R29. An old white gay man. I'm a Democrat through and through, I really wanted and thought Kamala would win, but I was blinded by the optimism of the campaign and thought that she stood a chance against a rapist and misogynist like Shitler. But she did not, not by a long shot, and we have been told in no uncertain terms that this country will not elect a woman to the presidency. It doesn't matter that other industrialized and even third-world countries have had female leadership; that is a far off dream in this nation that will not happen in the lifetime of anyone reading this post. I'll happily eat these words, but I know I won't have to.
Blue voters, especially women .... came out en masse to vote for Harris

No, they did not. The reason Harris lost was that white educated Democratic women didn't turn out, or turned out to vote for Shitler. Let me state it this way: misogyny transcends party affiliation. And then the Republicans used all the woke bullshit, trans issues, and racism to turn out their base, and it was easy for them because men hate women and women really, really hate women. Make it a Black woman, and it's period, full stop and end of story.

by Anonymousreply 37November 10, 2024 5:12 PM

I live in a very liberal area. Women are especially devastated by what happened in the election.

White men, who I know are Kamala voters, have shrugged it off. They know their positions are secure and they will be denied nothing no matter who is president

by Anonymousreply 38November 10, 2024 5:15 PM

The Republicans have played a very long game. I can remember arguing with a friend back in the 90s about Republicans on school boards supporting the teaching of creatiionism. They built a deep bench of candidates at the local levels as well as the House of Representatives. I have been pleased to see the Democrats filling out the ballot in Texas races, where once many Republicans ran without opposition. But we're going to have to fight hard at the local level to make a real change.

by Anonymousreply 39November 11, 2024 2:03 AM

Now that women won’t fight for abortion, it will no longer be a national political topic. The GOP knows that, no matter how many women die, women will keep voting for the GOP.

Fun times
