On Peacock? It is about Elisabeth Finch, the Grey's Anatomy writer who faked cancer among other things. It is fucking INSANE. Destined to be a DL classic.
Have you watched Anatomy of Lies

I finally watched all three episodes of this last night. It was exactly what I thought it would be. We’ve all known a person similar to this. At least with a personality like this.
It was interesting that she was able to fool people who were clearly smart, but also people who were vulnerable and not all that bright.
It was a good docuseries but I would have loved it if they followed up on her more closely at the end. Did she just disappear after she was found out?

I can’t believe she got away with telling people around her that Anna Paquin donated a kidney for her! How does something like that not get back to her?

From the above article:
“The best way I can explain it is when you experience a level of trauma a lot of people adopt a maladaptive coping mechanism,” she added. “Some people cut. I lied. That was my coping and my way to feel safe and seen and heard.”
…OMG… insufferable and exhausting. She’ll never change.

Okay, whoa. This woman outdoes any post in any “Let’s Be Crazy” thread I’ve ever seen. Creepy.

"In case RFK, Jr. doesn't work out, stand back and stand by, Elisabeth."

I felt like the marriage to the woman with her kids was a sort of attempt at normalcy for her, or possibly a way out. At least initially.
Even though she was still working like mad and continuing to lie and had adopted her wife’s PTSD story. She was unpredictable in many ways I wonder if for a moment she thought settling down might suit her. It went south quickly though.
It didn’t work out because she’s INSANE.

ABC does not offer it's employees Dental Insurance as part of their compensation package??

Right, R13. People who are batshit almost always end up deep-sixing any relationship they manage to get into. Abiding true crazy is impossible.

We all want to be noticed and paid attention to. Social media has acted as accelerant to that, but it’s always been true.
If you’re unremarkable, one way to be noticeable is to pretend to be tragic. One of the most famous examples:

It’s amazing that she was able to keep the big lie going for years! Did she not have to document anything related to her fake illness for her extended absences and work leaves?
