Well, we know he'll have his mug show up on the Oscars.
Bet on it.

Rest in peace! I hope Final Destination 6 is real and I hope he had a part in it!

goddammit. I know a lot of my reaction is cumulative /spill over from the rotten shitty assfuck of a week but, I am really upset about this. He was such an underrated talent, that voice, that soft gentle menace. I always hoped he would join Law and Order or one of the never ending shows if he didn't get a starring vehicle new show.

Really nice and fun guy!
Got wasted at a bar with him, Sybil Danning and 'Grandpa' from the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre a few years back!

R9 Virginia posted a brief video on her Instagram letting her followers know that she had heard the news, but she understandably seemed upset and kept it short.

I knew Tony Todd in the early 80s, touring the world with Modern Times Theater. He was a remarkable actor in every way. And not at all scary! I think his humanity is what allowed the scariness to enter in. He was the real thing.

I'm shocked to read he's "only" 69. I would have though he was older. RIP. He was certainly under-appreciated.

Todd was supposed to play the lead role of Troy in a production of FENCES at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA in 2023, but had to back out. I had heard the reason was a resurgence of cancer. The director of the production, who was from Boston, had worked with Todd previously.
The production went forward with another actor named Ranney, who was terrific and was originally going to play Troy's best friend Jim.

I have never seen any of the Candyman films but did get to see him act on stage in Pittsburgh doing an August Wilson play. He was phenomenal and was such a nice person to be around, since I also worked the box office.

The two part Klingon civil war episodes just stared this weekend each guy I think part 2 is actually the same day he died. I always watch those if I come across them because I enjoy Klingon so much and I really liked him as Kurn.

He was simultaneously foreboding and hilarious as the undertaker/medical examiner in the Final Destination series. He knew exactly how to play the role of essentially an expository device while stealing the fucking movies.
RIP to a contemporary horror legend.
William Bloodworth forever!

Was he gay?
Just by looks and mannerisms, I assumed that he was.
