"Columbo" VS Killer Cinema Divas Anne Baxter & Janet Leigh!

My "Columbo" double feature, when Peter Falk starred in two episodes featuring murderous film actresses! Anne Baxter is the subject of "Requiem for a Falling Star" & Janet Leigh is the "Forgotten Lady." Both are equally memorable in their uniquely different way and Falk's Columbo teams well with both stars. My look at these classic "Columbo" episodes here:

I like the "Forgotten Lady" episode

Not only does Columbo get to meet Anne Baxter's Nora Chandler, she introduces him to Edith Head! A very fun episode, with Baxter giving Charles Busch in "Die, Mommie, Die!"

I've been enjoying these Columbo episodes on Tubi!

I have one last Columbo episode saved up for a terrible day. Almost pulled the trigger after the election, but my beloved dad is 85 and that will be an awful day.

Here's a little clip of Columbo meeting musical star Grace Wheeler (Janet Leigh). Janet's quite touching in this role as the fragile star.

You can find Columbo episodes on Tubi or Peacock. But here's a good free copy of "Forgotten Lady" with Janet Leigh, John Payne, Sam Jaffe, and Maurice Evans. A Poignant episode!

And here's "Requiem for a Falling Star," with Anne Baxter and Mel Ferrer, having a gay ole time sniping at each other!

Here's Peter Falk, with Twiggy, giving Edith Head her last Oscar, for "The Sting." Edith had recently made an appearance on Columbo as herself.

I love “Forgotten Lady.” Go, Diamond and Wheeler!

Wasn't "Forgotten Lady" the one episode where Colombo showed empathy and compassion towards the murderer? She wasn't compos mentis, entirely, and he proceeded as such.

In "Forgotten Lady," that was John Payne's last performance... "Forgotten Lady" also plays a little homage to "That's Entertainment!" at the episodes opening...

I own the entire series, including the later seasons on disc. One of my favourite shows of all time. Forgotten Lady is one of the best episodes.

I love your threads, RRR!

Peter Falk seemed like he'd be a good fuck

Thanks, Reply 12! On my blog, I've written about the Faye Dunaway episode and a recap of Jack Cassidy's 3 appearances on Columbo! Cheers, Rick
