I'm terrified of what Trump is going to accomplish, given his past record

He is going to allow a massive overhaul of our government and change some basic laws to suit his collaborators here and abroad. In effect they are going to pass massive, irresponsible tax cuts to dismantlle our government and privatize everything they can. Comparable to selling a stolen car off for its parts. He won't do it, he will allow it from guys like Stephen Miller and Elon Musk, and Peter Theil and the hedge fund guys. Healthcare, education, environment, all gone. Social Security Gone.

I believe that THE ONE thing that would lead to an outright, armed revolution is dismantling Social Security.

There’s no quicker way to turn an entire nation against a president, than this. Even the oldest of farts would jump in his truck & head out to Washington D.C, armed to the teeth for that one.

R5, that will be headed off, since Trump can use the military against any protest. He will shoot any protester. So good luck with that.

Question: Would you consider a small increase in the retirement age, affecting only people retiring more than 40 years from now, to be “dismantling” Social Security?

If you couch dismantling SS as cutting off benefits to the "undeserving" i.e. the old white racist farts will be all over it, too stupid to believe they are the undeserving.

There are too many dumb Americans who think the economy will be better with Trump. They're going to more broke than they are now.

for those of us on social security and medicare, look for your benefits to be cut by 75% , in the very near future. The tech bros. want the US $ as reserve currency gone and want crypto instead. They will crash and burn the global economy to get it. And no, they don't give a shit about the SS demographic voting 'against them ' in future elections. Those days are gone.

I know it is delusional, but how great would it be if he became convinced that he should not do too many bad things because people were scared, and he could tell the world that the Dems lied about him, and then show how he won't get rid of healthcare or the Inflation Reduction act? He can take credit forb the strong economy by taking it easy on the tariff issue. I keep hoping there will be an intervention and Stephen Miller will fall out a window and die.
