I see a 25th Amendment or a shove down the stairway in his future.
I don’t think Trump will serve his full term. Do you?

Agreed.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 8, 2024 10:59 PM |
Yay, President JD Vance!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 8, 2024 11:02 PM |
He’s one super size me order away from a catastrophic health crisis and I can’t wait. I fucking hate JD Vance but he doesn’t seem insane. He seems like the type of conservative asshoke in the George W Bush model. My god! I can’t believe I’m rooting for a return of a George W Bush Republican. That’s how low my expectations are.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 8, 2024 11:08 PM |
OP, you’re giving me flashbacks to the first administration when we often heard that Trump wouldn’t last the four years.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 8, 2024 11:13 PM |
I think the stronger response is to assume he’ll live and make plans to counter the things he’ll do.
Then, we’re not just sitting on our hands, waiting for a deus ex machina that may not come while he’s in office.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 8, 2024 11:18 PM |
Trump's parents lived until they were 1000 years old and their skulls collapsed so Trump will probably see out his term. Vance is just as bad anyway - meaner, nastier, much smarter and more cunning. Vance is also the real deal MAGA.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 8, 2024 11:23 PM |
R7 But Vance will have zero chance of being elected President in 2028.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 8, 2024 11:29 PM |
I hope Trump does not last the more than two years. JD Vance is a lightweight and more easily beatable.
Trump needs to be out of our lives. It's a tragedy he's been elected.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 8, 2024 11:29 PM |
JD Vance, asshole that he is, went full Trumptard once he was picked as the VP candidate mainly to help get them elected. Trust me, he still hates Trump and I'm more than sure Trump hates him too. One thing about Trump is he has a long memory for slights against him. Anyone who's ever said anything bad about him will always be kept on his shit list, even if he finds a reason to pretend he likes the person in order to get something he wants.
Trump may think he's going to set himself up as a king with ultimate power, but it will never happen. We still have a Constitution and Trump can not do away with it, as much as he would like to. In the end, the courts will deal with Trump.
And no, I do not think he'll serve a full term. Maybe not even a year.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 8, 2024 11:30 PM |
Let's hope not R8. I meant if Trump dies in office and Vance took over the presidency.

[quote]In the end, the courts will deal with Trump.
Which courts R10?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 8, 2024 11:32 PM |
As president, Vance would have an excuse not to keep Trump’s insane promises of mass deportation and huge tariffs. Vance would proceed with Project 2025 though, since that is his priority. I think Trump knew all along he wouldn’t make it through the next four years, and would be passing on his “legacy” to Vance. I’d expect Don Jr. to be chosen as Vance’s VP. I think Trump has always been bluffing about mass deportations and tariffs that would sink the economy, just as he lied about building a wall.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 8, 2024 11:32 PM |
All those people from Project 2025 want the illegals deported R13. They and MAGA are one and the same. Vance signed on and sold his soul to the MAGA so if Trump were to die he has to follow through.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 8, 2024 11:35 PM |
Maybe after this country elected Trump twice, R8 needs to temper his or her certitude about what it will do in ‘28.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 8, 2024 11:39 PM |
One of my coworkers asked what would happen if Trump died before January 20 ? I said Vance would be sworn in instead - is that correct ?

All his siblings are dead, and besides the drunk, he's the least healthy of the lot.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 8, 2024 11:40 PM |
R14 There isn’t enough money in the budget to house 11 million illegals in detention camps and then deport them. He’ll probably half-ass it like he did the border wall. He never followed through on that (among other things) and STILL got re-elected.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 8, 2024 11:40 PM |
He will serve the full term.
I sense that some really serious challenge will come up in the next four years and, being him, he’ll make all the wrong decisions, thinking only of himself, like he did with Covid.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 8, 2024 11:42 PM |
How high are the windows in the White House?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 8, 2024 11:44 PM |
Then enjoy two terms of Vance, OP
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 8, 2024 11:45 PM |
If he serves long enough I can't wait until his first State Of The Union address. As crazy as he is now I can just imagine who loony he'll be by then. He's going to end up embarrassing the republican party beyond repair.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 8, 2024 11:48 PM |
The only good thing about the ascendancy of Vance is that we would dump the Trump Crime Family; Don Jr and Kim, Eric, Jared and Ivanka and maybe Elon.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 8, 2024 11:52 PM |
Maybe he just should've won in 2020 and by now we'd be done with him. Oh well.

The Lord works in mysterious ways!

No. He's 78 and fat.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 8, 2024 11:59 PM |
R24 Trump will male sure his DNA will stay in the White House. I predict he’ll vacate office due to “health reasons,” so that Vance can take over, but Vance will have to choose one of Trump’s heirs as VP (likely Don Jr.) as part of the arrangement. Trump’s final conniving deal of his career.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 9, 2024 12:04 AM |
I can see JD Vance pulling a full Frank Underwood on Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 9, 2024 12:12 AM |
Vance is a crazed ideologue who would be far worse than Trump, but he has no charisma or political nous.
If Trump doesn’t last - something quite likely given his age and his clear cognitive decline - Vance will be constricted by not having Trump’s unexplainable appeal or the political experience to manage Congress. Vance will not have anywhere near the same influence over primary campaigns in the way Trump did so they don’t need to keep Vance on side.
I genuinely think MAGA will wither and eventually die without Trump.

Counter? With what? The Senate? The House?
Best to obey and try not to raise the ire of the MAGAT stormtroopers.

You're probably correct. History has shown us that cult of personality movements tend to die when their leader dies.

And in 2016 we were worried about Mike Pence! Good Times!!
