The Democrats have to face some hard truths
First, America was never going to elect a black woman as president, no matter how badly you wanted it. It’s stupid that it has to be this way and it’s not fair, but this is the America we have. A country of racist idiots.
Second, the Democrats need to stop with the identity politics. The idea that someone has to vote a certain way because of their skin color is frankly offensive. It’s not 1985 anymore. White people are allowed to think for themselves. Everyone else who doesn’t tow the party line is an idiot.
Third, the woke shit doesn’t work. To Kamala’s credit, she dropped the woke shit for the campaign but it was too late. Americans hate woke. They don’t wan’t to hear about pronouns and trans kids and the Victimhood Olympics. They want to hear about how you will make their lives better.
Fourth, just because the “economy is good” doesn’t mean the average person is feeling it. If five million low paying crap jobs are added to the economy, that doesn’t exactly help these people.
Special mention: the 2SLGBTQIA+ community is the dumbest thing ever. These assholes latched onto the gay community and used it for everything they could, confusing the general population and turning them against gays in the process. The woke gays now say “we’re stronger together,” but mark my words: the minute the Trump Administration goes after gay marriage the gays will drop the T so hard they will bounce off the pavement.

Democrats: THE FUTURE IS FEMALE

The future may or may not be female, but half of those women voted for cheeto.
So clearly, that message is absurd.

It's all about the base.
Will the democratic base get excited by two white guys? As for identity politics, will the base stand for their various sections to not be addressed? And, isn't not wanting to vote for a black woman, the very idea of identity politics - just askin'? The "woke shit" as you call it, is again, the base. Democratic voters expect a certain amount fairness and equity.
For democrats you are not going to get them exited if you don't bring a few things to the table. If you can't get the base exited, you're a non-starter, which brings you to the general. How do you marry the desires of the base with a general electorate who doesn't give two shits about the democratic base? If you know the answer, please call the DNC and tell them.
The economy thing, it annoys me and I hate it, but I get it. I'm not touching the last one.

It's odd how often (and how loudly) "Enough with the identity politics!" gets shouted at Democrats when Republicanism has been nothing but grievance and identity politics for at least 40 years now. That's what drove the outcome of this election more than anything else, but the media's funhouse mirrors and social media's endless echo chambers will distort it as usual and people will lap it right up because it confirms their biases.

OP only regurgitated GOP bullshit talking points.
The same shit the Right is saying about trans people today, i.e. they seem to be mentally/emotionally unstable, they seem to be drug/alcohol dependent, too many are engaged in sex work ad nauseum, is the same shit the Right have been saying about gay men and women forever. And that noise reached a crescendo when AIDS struck, because now the Right could add disease carrying perverts to their arsenal.

The Democrats certainly have to analyze where things went wrong for them, but I feel this problem is much bigger than the Democratic Party. It goes deeper than mere policy and messaging.
It's about how society at large has come to view empathy, compassion and altruism as contemptible weaknesses, how society at large has turned towards cruelty in a world ultimately perceived as a zero-sum game, how (young) men have become so radicalized that spitefulness and hatred have become their only remaining joys. By now, MAGA Republicans derive sadistic pleasure from undermining the common good and from harming others. Owning the libs is their only remaining source of pleasure, in world progressively more cold and chaotic. With the disappointments and disillusionment of this election, Democrats might fall into the same trap, aggravating the whole problem. Having divisive propaganda and fake news spread over the internet (and even major "news networks") 24/7 doesn't help either.
In the past few days, I read someone's post or tweet (or whatever) about how today's young men are so radicalized, a vast majority having grown up with Andrew Tate, Joe Rogan, and company, that they're itching for violence and war, just like the young men in the early 1910s did. And maybe it would be best for them to be thrown into the meat grinder of war; then, maybe they might lose their taste for this dehumanizing 'might-makes-right,' supremacist rhetoric. Or they simply die. Either way, there has to be a big shift in society, otherwise the underlying illness will prevail.

I agree OP.
The problem is they're just as woke. They just pray to a different woke god. Their trans is religion. Their DEI is cronyism.
They have better messengers. They have Rogan and Musk. Men love those two for some god awful reason.
We need better messengers. But it's a lost cause now. The country - if it still exists - won't swing back until 2032.

And it took a whole lot to turn that around. Focusing on "normal" things like marriage and the armed services helped a lot.
Let me ask, what do you think needs to change in the Trans Rights activist community to make you less unpopular. Because honestly, I hope you get how really, really, really unpopular your movement is. Is there anything you intend to do about that, or just more hectoring and yelling at the problem to go away?

Empathy, compassion & altruism are on the decline because people income inequality exploded at the same time as social media and nobody cared about those values. People just wanted to make money. It broke the social contract to see the top shoot up while the bottom barely stays above water. Why should anyone have empathy for someone making more than them? Trying to reinject morals with a huge wealth divide is foolish. The class war (and by extension the gender wars, etc.) are here to stay and grow along with our wealth divide.

Buy a truck and move into a trailer in Alabama. It’s the only place you’ll be safe. They won’t be looking there.
Get a picture of some fake woman to frame and claim she died in a monster truck accident. Pretend you’re drunk all the time and have some crumpled Arby’s bags laying around.
That should be enough to satisfy secret police.

R21 In my opinion, the idea that anyone under 18 needs to be transitioned or start transitioning should be tossed out the window. Kids are too impressionable to know for sure who they are at younger ages. They can pursue transition after turning 18 and going through the usual counseling that was once required to go down that path.
Plenty of studies exist that show most youths experiencing gender dysphoria grow up to be gays or lesbians who no longer want to transition, if they are left alone.
And anyone born biologically male cannot compete in female sports, ever. Period, end of. Those are the breaks. Biology is a reality.
Stop catering to and validating every edge case that insists on "self identifying."
That's a start.

"Let me ask, what do you think needs to change in the Trans Rights activist community to make you less unpopular."
I'm not trans, idiot. I'm a 72 year old gay man who has been out since he was 19. You shouldn't assume things. Do you know what the first three letters of the word assume spells?
"And it took a whole lot to turn that around."
Yes, I know. I lived it and lived through it so no need to lecture me about this or anything fucking other thing. At the ripe old age of 24, I was living with my equally out partner as an out, gay couple in a white middle class, Republican majority suburb in flyoverland and continued to do so for the next 25 years.
"Focusing on "normal" things like marriage and the armed services helped a lot."
You don't get respect or acceptance by copying or emulating the behaviors, customs, and rituals of other people. You get respect by being yourself, having respect for other people (especially those different from you), working hard, treating people fairly and justly and by being honest and sincere. Judging from your arrogant, self-indulgent post, you have absolutely no idea of what I'm talking about.

Great, r28, glad you've had a great and fulfilling life of integrty. As for the Trans Rights movement, it is failing to gain acceptance, and I hope somebody, anybody, Trans or not has a better strategy for turning that around than just keep doing exactly what they've been doing. Cause that is not working.

Americans were tired of four years with Biden who didn't listen to advisors and went into Afghanistan, where Americans died for no reason. Who thought it was OK to buy fuel from overseas instead using our resources. Who made no effort to curb Inflation. Democrats who live in urban areas have no problem with Drag Queens reading to kids or "Chicks With Dicks" invading girls sports. Wake Up, Folks. America has risen up against what they believe to be wrong. And don't forget, there are more of them than us.

And neither does trying to advance your own cause at the expense of or to the detriment to other people, R29.
And if the trans rights movement (is there really such an organization?), the change must come from within them, not from an outsider like you or being bullied by someone like you.
"Is there anything you intend to do about that, or just more hectoring and yelling at the problem to go away?"
You seem to think hectoring and yelling will make your problems go away, why can't they use the same tactics?

What? Biden got out of Afghanistan, not into it. Yes, it sucked that it happened the way it did, but he was the only one who actually ended that useless war that people knew had become useless for at least 10 years.

Democrats are being destroyed by the Far Left. In New York including Alexandra Ocasio Cortez, Tiffany Caban and our brother Mondaire Jones, who lost to Repub Mike Lawler. AOC dubbed "All Out Crazy" prevented 5,000 jobs in her district at proposed Amazon warehouse because it was Non-Union.
