Too bad she was hampered by Clinton consultants and vile misogynistic Bernie bros
Elizabeth Warren would have bern the best President America has ever had

There's some good ideas here but the old people need to work behind the scenes and let a new generation (people in their forties and fifties, which isn't exactly the Tik Tok crowd) be out front. Elizabeth Warren is 75 years old. She will be over 80 at the end of the term she just won. She has been out front long enough. She has value, but it isn't on the front line.

Wrong. Betty White would have bern better. (If she was still alive)
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 8, 2024 3:36 PM |
Even deceased, Betty White would still be better than what we are going to have on January 20, 2025.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 8, 2024 3:38 PM |
she's still a great senator
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 8, 2024 3:56 PM |
Can’t you say DEAD, R3?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 8, 2024 4:22 PM |
Bernie Sanders would have bern better than any of the berns
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 8, 2024 4:23 PM |
The establishment wanted the 2020!primary to come down to Warren vs Biden with Warren winning. They tried very hard to make her happen. It's nobody's fault but her own that she didn't.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 8, 2024 6:00 PM |
Bernie Sanders can’t even caucus with the democrats or get a bill passed. He can criticize democrats and an inspire a cult following though.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 8, 2024 6:02 PM |
I only know Elizabeth Warren from the Kate McKinnon sketch and her desire to have a trans kid pick her education secretary.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 8, 2024 6:10 PM |
Chief Littlefeather

That’s where she should stay.

Bernie Sanders will never own to his shit. The Bernie Bro twat followers continue to shit all over "middle of the road Democrats". Far left progressives never called out like the far right MAGA twats do. In my opinion, far left progressives like Bernie and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez should have been at any of the Harris rallies. AOC should be removed as the Democratic female poster girl. The Dems need to focus on promoting moderate Democratic women like Elissa Slotkin and not fucking AOC.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 8, 2024 6:31 PM |
No she wouldn’t.
Where’s the video of her announcing her run for Presidency while drinking a beer?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 8, 2024 6:33 PM |
Oh here it is!
“Hold on a second, I’m gonna get me a beer!”
I think this was before Hillary said she carried hot sauce in her bag like Beyoncé on a black radio station.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 8, 2024 6:37 PM |
Please stop with this idea that a woman - especially a Democratic woman - can be elected president.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 8, 2024 6:43 PM |
I have wondered if southern Democratic Ann Richards type could ever be elected POTUS.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 8, 2024 6:43 PM |
I agree with all the Bernie trashing, I was just making fun of OP's misspelling.
Please forgive me!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 8, 2024 6:52 PM |
Are you INSANE, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 9, 2024 5:50 AM |
I think Warren should DEFINITELY be in the ear of the next Dem POTUS nominee. She is incredibly effective at speaking about issues that affect the working class in a relatable, direct way. And, as much as I love Bernie, I think she, unlike him, knows how to add some poetry/emotion to that populism, she knows how to take it from policy to personal. She's too old, of course. And, I'm afraid as much as I value diversity, I agree that we need a white man (probably from the upper midwest or the south) next time. Only Left-Populism is going to triumph over Right-Populism.
But, yes, I really hope that, of the established Dem voices, it is hers (much more than the Clintons, Obamas and Bidens) that is listened to.

NO MORE WOMEN!!!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 9, 2024 12:38 PM |
The first woman president will be a Republican. The current class of republican will never vote for a woman Democrat.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 9, 2024 1:41 PM |
The "current class of republican" - dominated by straight white bros - will never nominate a woman, R21.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 9, 2024 1:44 PM |
Elizabeth Warren is smart and policy driven. She would have made a good President; however, she would have zero chance of being elected. Too liberal.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 9, 2024 2:04 PM |
I always think of wine caves when I see her and chuckle 😂

And too annoying. She's closing in on eighty and she's still that idiot in class who puts her hand up to answer the question every fucking time.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 9, 2024 2:35 PM |
Does anyone actually believe Warren could've beaten Trump in '20? In hindsight, we should've nominated her. Trump would now be leaving office a deeply unpopular president.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 9, 2024 2:41 PM |
I just wish Democrats would take the rhetoric of Warren and Sanders and AOC and all the progressives and turn into actionable proposals, described in plain language that frames outcomes, benefits and results. Give people something to remember and think about, rather than leaving them with an impression of somebody who wants to spend your tax money on somebody else.
America is not a country that shares easily. OK. Deal with that reality and talk in terms it can hear. Skip the lectures on morality and decency. You've got the wrong country.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 9, 2024 2:42 PM |
I love her. She's the only politician I ever gave money to. Too bad everyone hated her because she reminded them of a "schoolmarm." Even you guys at DL said that.
WTF do people want? She was a law professor at Harvard, FFS!! Of course she came off like an educator! Americans are so fucking superficial. And they don't like a woman scolding them even when they need to be scolded.
Now that Mr. Orange is going to be our president, a mere scolding is going to seem like foreplay...
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 9, 2024 3:43 PM |
R27, that's what Hillary did and people didn't respond to it - too much detail
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 9, 2024 5:22 PM |
People don't want details. They want "Build the Wall."
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 9, 2024 5:52 PM |
Elizabeth Warren is an off-putting weirdo.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 9, 2024 7:33 PM |
Her favorite word is “billionaire”.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 9, 2024 7:45 PM |
She begins ever sentence with the word “so,” like it’s 2012.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 9, 2024 9:31 PM |
I agree, OP, she might have been what we needed.
Unfortunately, none of the people who rule things now (corporate influences) would want her in charge, because she IS a reformist.
Her lack of knowledge about her heritage was a dumb mistake, but Trump & Co. made a point of repeating the Pocahantas thing over and over to make sure they put a huge crack in her credibility. They didn't do that because they were bored.....they did that to disable any sort of meaningful reform.

I think she should have just leaned into the schoolmarm thing, which is what she was.
When she did this beer-drinking Instagram, it was so phoney, it was a turnoff, IMO.

My senator. I was honored to vote for her here once again in Massachusetts, and she won again, and I am very grateful. I trust the fucking shit out of her. I am so grateful to live in a blue state.

R24 Fuck literally ALL the way OFF. You are a nothing person. You are an impotent freak. Your cynicism will not keep your warm at night. Enjoy spooning with Mother and giving her her diabetes medications.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 9, 2024 9:47 PM |
R37, calm down and pour another vodka.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 9, 2024 9:49 PM |
R29, well she didn't do it well enough if progressives were so firmly against her
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 11, 2024 9:21 PM |
She has a large lesbian audience
