Oddly, Allan Lichtman’s 13 keys to the presidency did predict Trump’s reelection
But because Lichtman has become an intellectually dishonest grifter he purposely misread his own keys (I had posted in the summer that the keys clearly pointed to an incumbent loss) and told desperate Democrats that they pointed towards Harris’s election. This was what I wrote in June pre drop out:
1. Party Mandate: After the midterm elections, the incumbent party holds more seats in the U.S. House of Representatives than after the previous midterm elections. FALSE
2. Contest: There is no serious contest for the incumbent party nomination. TRUE
3. Incumbency: The incumbent party candidate is the sitting president. TRUE
4. Third party: There is no significant third party or independent campaign. FALSE
5. Short-term economy: The economy is not in recession during the election campaign. TRUE (may turn false before election)
6. Long-term economy: Real per capita economic growth during the term equals or exceeds mean growth during the previous two terms. TRUE
7. Policy change: The incumbent administration effects major changes in national policy. FALSE
8. Social unrest: There is no sustained social unrest during the term. FALSE
9. Scandal: The incumbent administration is untainted by major scandal. FALSE
10. Foreign/military failure: The incumbent administration suffers no major failure in foreign or military affairs. FALSE
11. Foreign/military success: The incumbent administration achieves a major success in foreign or military affairs. FALSE
12. Incumbent charisma: The incumbent party candidate is charismatic or a national hero. FALSE
13. Challenger charisma: The challenging party candidate is not charismatic or a national hero. FALSE

Scandal: Biden covering up his sundowning
Foreign policy failure: unilateral support for Israel’s devastation of Gaza

I think at least for the "Military Failure" key, we can say that pulling out of Afghanistan was a clusterfuck, and I don't think Allan Lichtman folded that into the equation. "Scandal" key would be Hunter Biden. "Incumbent Charisma" for sure is false, as Biden in his dotage has the charisma of a wilted turnip. And as R2 just said, "Foreign Policy Failure" would be the Israel/Gaza situation.

Nonsense. We've repeatedly threatened Israel to stop the Gaza program. And Trump would probably like to nuke Gaza so Democrats did not lose a single vote of people who were tenderhearted for Palestinians.

Fuck you r4. Even Foreign Policy magazine says Biden’s Israel stance was a failure.

Allan Lichtman, like Ann Selzer, is not going to have a very good reputation after this. It's too bad they were both wrong, but they have to wear the missed predictions.
