The YouTuber must not live in a covenant protected HOA neighborhood.

That shit would not fly in my neighborhood.

It seems a bit cluttered with too many knick-knacks, but it's perfect for a grandma who doesn't want to live in the house with her kid and grandkids.

The only problem I see is the bathtub/shower.

Senior citizens 100% need a walk-in shower, because many can't climb into a tub.

Not only that, but some even need a shower chair so that they can sit down when they take a shower.

That tub just isn't going to work for an older person.

I hear you. There was a little handle next to the tub, but I bet they'll have to install a walk-in tub or shower stall with seat at some point.

The exterior siding/cladding and the garden make it really cute, though.

Many communities now support the construction of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) on properties in neighborhoods zoned for single-family housing in response to high real estate prices and homelessness.

The narrator mentioned having horses, so chances are they live on a very large property.

Lucky them.

They need to lay a concrete walkway for grandma, because she's going to have a hard time walking on all that grass and uneven ground to get to the main house.

It's more crowded than a Manhattan studio apartment. The closet doors in the living room and kitchen are blocked by furniture. That bath setup is really short-sighted, as r2 mentioned.

Granny wants separate sleeping quarters with a separate entrance in order to accommodate all that immigrant cock she’s taking on the side!

by Anonymousreply 7November 8, 2024 12:41 PM

I wouldn't be able to stand all that clutter.

It's cute and kitschy, but totally not my style.

I like a sleek and clean look.

All those knick knacks would drive me crazy.

As long as I can’t smell the pee.

I’d let my Dad live in my garage. I’d lock him in there with the car running.

Looks like Elderfrau headquarters.

Too many indoor plants in big baskets on the floor, blocking the walkways.

That little outdoor area looks super-cluttered and FUSSY.

It's really cute how y'all feel it necessary to proclaim you don't have granny taste and can't just let grannies be grannies, happy in their tat. Of course we'd do it differently, but it has its place.

by Anonymousreply 12November 8, 2024 4:41 PM

Okay, Granny/R12.

by Anonymousreply 13November 8, 2024 8:33 PM

Too much clutter.

by Anonymousreply 14November 8, 2024 11:51 PM

The fewer stuff Granny has to remove or clean., the better This was designed by someone in love with her thrift market finds rather than having an understanding of design for seniors.

The tinkly twee background music was making me nuts so I had to stop watching.

That said, all it needs is a few Precious Moments figurines and I'm ready to move in!

She keeps saying "ootdoor". Are they Canadian?
