GenZ can go fuck themselves, while we're at it. CUNTS!

According to an NBC exit poll, "Trump picked up a larger portion of voters under 30 than any Republican presidential candidate since 2008."

The AP says, "Voters under age 30 represent a fraction of the total electorate, but about half of them supported Harris. That’s compared to the roughly 6 in 10 who backed Biden in 2020. Slightly more than 4 in 10 young voters went for Trump, up from about one-third in 2020."

In Texas alone, they say, "In 2020, just 35% of voters between the ages of 18 and 29 voted for Trump. This year, that grew to 51%."

This change in voting patterns from 2020 to 2024 has started a discussion online, and much of it centers around the typical Gen Z vs. millennial discourse.

I believe there is a massive gender split within that data point.

Wondering if “2024-induced lesbianism” is about to become a thing. If I were young and female and even 20% bi, women would be looking a whole lot less repulsive and more attractive to me right now than men.

by Anonymousreply 7November 8, 2024 10:27 AM

Boomers + their Millennial kids = Clinton and Obama

GenX + their GenZ kids = Trump x 2

by Anonymousreply 8November 8, 2024 11:31 AM

R8, most boomers had children earlier in life, hence most boomers are parents to Gen X.

by Anonymousreply 9November 8, 2024 11:41 AM

R1 I have always said Gen Z is very polarized. I always thought millenials were more predominantly liberals, at least when they were in their 20s.

That said most Gen Z is SOCIALLY liberal, at least more so than their republican parents and grandparents have been. They might believe in alot more traditionally social liberal values than before, but remain fiscally conservative.

by Anonymousreply 10November 8, 2024 11:53 AM

Fiscal conservatism has got to be the most laughable position. No politician will cut spending or raise taxes in this climate.

People who say they are fiscal conservatives but socially liberal always vote for Republicans who blow up the deficit. Since Reagan, every one except George HW Bush.

by Anonymousreply 11November 8, 2024 12:02 PM

Gen Z kids have mostly Gen X parents, but some Generation Jones parents too. Important to remember because Gen Jones has more in common with Gen X than Boomers
Trump picked up a larger portion of voters under 30 than any Republican presidential candidate since 2008.

These are people born between and including 1995-2006.

I don't understand how so many of them see a 78 year old criminal rapist grifter failed businessman as a better option than a sitting Vice-President and former State Attorney General, to lead the country.

They should know better.

This is really going to make me not trust any GenZ'er I encounter from now on, because it speaks to their horrible judgment and inability to distinguish right from wrong.

by Anonymousreply 16November 8, 2024 12:24 PM

As much as GenZ irritates me I want to point out some things

GenZ deserved a candidate after Obama who would inspire them. His name was Bernie Sanders. After being sworn by their elders that Hillary Clinton needed to win because Sanders was never going to be elected, Clinton lost, completely due to her own arrogance, like believing she would win upper income Republicans, never visiting Wisconsin, calling them deplorables, giving speeches at Goldman Sachs and keeping dubious people around her (Anthony Weiner).

Come 2020, there were many exciting people who were willing to run, including Sanders, who, frankly, deserved to be elected merely for the terror he would bring into the hearts of the GOP. Nevertheless, an extremely unpopular Joe Biden used chicanery and took advantage of a pandemic to push other Democrats out of the race, for the goal of blunting Bernie Sanders which he was successful at. Biden promised a restoration of Obama era competence; he had no intention because Joe Biden actually disliked Obama and felt he was better than him (think of all those South Carolina church ladies who were tricked into voting for Iago).

Biden selected his running mate poorly (it needed to be a millennial, in hindsight it should have clearly been Buttigieg) but he had to choose Boomer Kamala Harris because that was the trade off with the CBC (even Stacey Abrams would have been a better choice but she was you know, black black and probably wouldn’t take his bullshit). Biden staffed his White House not with dynamic Democratic talent but with fossilized Washington apparatchiks (Anthony Blinken, Merrick Garland) who basically held Reagan-era values and were terrible in their positions.

CONTINUED

by Anonymousreply 17November 8, 2024 12:27 PM

Issues that were important to Gen Z like student loan forgiveness turned out to be bait and switches (of course Biden had no power to cancel that debt per the constitution) and an issue they felt really strongly about, Gaza, was completely ignored creating the worst campus unrest since Vietnam. Biden allowed Gaza to happen because he believed he needed money from wealthy Jews in Hollywood and Wall Street, not realizing money doesn’t win elections, votes do. Even Reagan put his foot down against the excesses of Menachim Begin while Biden was happy to be Netanyahu’s lapdog, even though Netanyahu clearly loathed him and was prolonging to war so Trump would win, and very likely is responsible for the murder of those aid workers.

Biden was disgustingly old come 2024 but broke his promise to voters about being a transitional president and used the apparatus of the Democratic National Committee, who he staffed with an ignoramus from South Carolina to again please James Clybourne, to prevent any legitimate challengers. He used chicanery to hide his sundowning and put the Democrats in the terrible position of having to lie to their constituents who as per 1984, were told to disbelieve their own eyes as the final and most important commandment. When finally the July debate became Toto pulling the curtain back revealing Frank Morgan, he refused to step down, making the Democrats look even more powerless and imbecilic, while using an army of social media hooligans and influencers to mock those who expressed LEGITIMATE AND CORRECT CONCERNS ABOUT THE DANGER HE PUT THE REPUBLIC IN.

When he was finally pushed out he again used chicanery to deprive Democrats of even a semblance of a primary process and forced Harris on us, despite the unlikelihood of a black woman being elected President. The one thing he could have done if he really believed she could win the election and if he had an ethical backbone in his body, was resign, giving her the powers of the Presidency to help shore up areas in which he had created chaos, but he did not because he is not at any level an ethical person.

So after being BAMBOOZLED as Malcom X would say, for their vote four years ago, Democrats have the gall to wonder why Gen Z didn’t bother to vote for their candidate m even if she turned out to be a very good campaigner in the brief window she had? JOE BIDEN SET HER UO TO FAIL. JOE BIDEN IS WORSE THAN TRUMP. Because to borrow John Mulaney’s analogy, Trump is just a horse loose in the hospital, but Biden is a madman with a gun telling the doctors who gets to live and die.

And you wonder why Gen Z abandoned us.

by Anonymousreply 18November 8, 2024 12:27 PM

And we were so worried a week ago the GenZ was not going to show up and vote.

Losers are desperately looking for “someone else” to blame——its human nature most losers do it—-it is what it is.

What the fuck is Generation Jones?

Good fucking grief, I’ve never seen a time in history when everyone prefaces themselves by their generation label.

That’s their entire, sad tribal identity. As if there weren’t enough ridiculous labels keeping people apart.

We’re doomed.

To Broadway fans, it’s a dark irony that this election was on the same day that the original production of Into the Woods. So many people to blame, so much finger pointing at each other. Boom Crunch.

Every election is about money. Just look for who has the least.

by Anonymousreply 23November 8, 2024 12:40 PM
Losers are desperately looking for “someone else” to blame

It's not blame.

It's post-election analysis. To see what went wrong, in order to fix the problem.

What we're seeing so far is that three groups that have historically voted for the Democratic candidate - 18 to 29 year old voters, Latinos, and Arabs/Muslims - all abandoned Democrats this year.

The question is why?

I think the obvious answers are racism, sexism, misogyny, and the war in Gaza.

But I'll tell you, it really does leave me extremely pissed off at the above mentioned groups, for inflicting another Donald Trump "Presidency" on us, for what could very well be more than four years.

by Anonymousreply 24November 8, 2024 12:41 PM

R24 you left out a whole lot more that went for trump much more than they previously did. And that is going to get worse. We are losing the male vote . And we will lose more.

Dems are seen as weak soft queer triggered sensitive and fem that is not a not the perceptron that is going to keep the male vote

Other than , we are not trump and abortion, what drove Dems this election ?

Not fucking cakes

by Anonymousreply 25November 8, 2024 12:52 PM

"I think the obvious answers are racism, sexism, misogyny, and the war in Gaza."

Y'all will never get it, will you? Enjoy 20 more years of republican rule.

by Anonymousreply 26November 8, 2024 12:57 PM

I’m sorry to say it, but the far left are not going to help us. They gave Trump the election against Clinton. They didn’t swing it this time, but the language against Harris should convince us all.

We need to find a coalition that peels off part of Trump’s. The far left may say things we wish we could, but they prefer to be right over effective.

by Anonymousreply 27November 8, 2024 1:03 PM

R26 it was “obvious “ to DL. And you are correct we may have seen a major shift. 12-20 years would be good bets.

I don’t think we at DL or the Dems ever understood the country this year . We assumed.

by Anonymousreply 28November 8, 2024 1:05 PM

Or, maybe most voters really are sick of DEI being hammered everywhere? Maybe lawfully entered immigrants aren't thrilled with "refugees" pouring in? I'm prepared for massive FFs here, but frankly, it's too late to care.

by Anonymousreply 29November 8, 2024 1:05 PM

I have been saying this forever.

The “queer” people or Gen Z are a tiny minority of Gen Z.

Most of Gen Z girls follow anorexic beauty gurus on Instagram and most boys follow Andrew Tate.

by Anonymousreply 30November 8, 2024 1:05 PM

Gen Z girls subjected to your body my choice may find other priorities. And enjoy losing Plan B in 2025!

by Anonymousreply 31November 8, 2024 1:12 PM

It's funny that you mentioned GenZ girls, R31.

I was watching this news story about Pennsylvania voters, and this one GenZ young woman was very proud to vote for Trump to "save our Democracy."

And yet she qualified that with some ridiculous comment about "I know the concern is about reproductive rights, but strong women always rally together to fight for our rights."

What a dumb shit. All the "fighting" and "rallying" isn't going to stop The Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 and the Religious Right from taking away your rights.

She thinks it's just so easy to put fascists in power, but they'll be reasonable if you demand your rights from them.

Silly girl. Just you wait and see.

by Anonymousreply 32November 8, 2024 1:27 PM

GenZ men are VERY conservative, like fascistic conservative. It’s the girls staying home and not voting that was negative

by Anonymousreply 33November 8, 2024 1:36 PM

This is what nearly 20 years of normalizing and celebrating porn whores like the Kardashians and other degenerate reality TV trash has led to: a felonious reality TV rapist who caused an insurrection has been legitimized.

These people used to rightfully shunned as the garbage they are. Now, they’re billionaire heros. No behavior is disqualifying.

There’s even a movement to celebrate and feee the fucking Menendez brothers. Let by the chief whore Kardashian. Two narcissistic turds who gunned down their parents. Any behavior is now acceptable.

This is much Ryan Seacrest, Ryan Murphy and Andy Cohen’s result as any candidate’s.

Fuck them and fuck anyone who watches that sewage. You’re no better than a MAGAT. Maybe worse.

by Anonymousreply 34November 8, 2024 1:39 PM

Gen Z dont care about abortion rights because they never have sex lol

by Anonymousreply 35November 8, 2024 1:52 PM

I don't mind it when people can at least articulate why they voted for a candidate and can respond to further questions about their opinions, even if I disagree with their choice.

But so many people don't really have a reason other than "prices are too expensive, Trump will bring them down". If you ask "how?" they will either waffle or say nothing. Or they'll say things like "Trump is anti abortion and I disagree with babies being terminated so late in pregnancy". If you point out Trump has said he wouldn't sign a national abortion ban into law, again you just get crickets.

I honestly think more politics should be taught in schools. I know that would cause many to cry about biases, but there's definitely a way it can be taught neutrally without exposing any preferences for one party over the other. At the moment many have no interest in politics and are too lazy to spend as little as an hour doing some basic research about what the main parties believe/are offering.

So they either vote the same way their parents do/did, or they decide based on who they prefer the look of. I saw an interview on YouTube recently where a Trump voter in his early 20s admitted that he was voting for Trump because he thought he was "funny". He only admitted that after his other reasons had been picked apart, but I admired his honesty regardless. That's why so many men in their 20s voted for Trump... he seemed like a funny guy who speaks his mind. They prefer that to some woman who's more professional and competent - ie someone they see as "boring".

by Anonymousreply 36November 8, 2024 1:53 PM

R33 that is on the democrats. It is no accident.

by Anonymousreply 37November 8, 2024 1:54 PM

Are they called Gen Zed in the Commonwealth?

by Anonymousreply 38November 8, 2024 1:58 PM

The Dems got crushed. I would bet there is not one population group-voting block where Trump did not over perform. Blacks, Hispanics, men, gays, Washington DC, Trump improved everywhere.

Maybe he did not over perform with the trans vote but I’d not bet against that..

It’s not about silly shit like we need to teach politics in school better, or it was all the trans fault, or the election was stolen, it was not the fault of Hispanics.

.

We got beat badly. We are unpopular. Unless you start from that you end up with silly discussions about, if we had only taught politics better in high school.

Or you have morons s screaming that data showing trump getting more popular in the US from 2016 to 2020 to 2024 must be maga spreading Russian nonsense, No asshole it was what was happening.

The only hope the Dems have is that things go really badly for the country. That is our only hope. Which means we line up with every other asshole country that hates America.

by Anonymousreply 39November 8, 2024 2:07 PM

You can't tell people it's their right to vote as they wish and then tell them their options are morally constricted to YOUR preference. Trump was legally on the ballot, and he won.

by Anonymousreply 40November 8, 2024 2:09 PM

Dems did not get "crushed" and things are already turning bad for the country because of Trump.

by Anonymousreply 41November 8, 2024 2:11 PM

Oh how we got shouted down here when some of us tried to warn against running the unwrapped mummy, Biden. Missing from all the SCREE was reason. And now we have emotion-driven ball busting instead of REASON as to why we lost. Do some of you ever learn?

by Anonymousreply 42November 8, 2024 2:13 PM

I made Biden look like Senator Palpatine for a REASON and you still wouldn’t dump him!

by Anonymousreply 43November 8, 2024 2:15 PM

R41 yes I heard the stock market has been crashing since trump won. What else bad have you heard so far that is bad for America ?

Not crushed for sure. We still carried Maryland and DC .

by Anonymousreply 44November 8, 2024 2:18 PM

by Anonymousreply 45November 8, 2024 2:19 PM

A guy I followed (until this AM) on Youtube from UTAH who does car reviews- Banjamin Hardy- Did his first political post EVER. Total piece of shit.

He went on and on about GEN Z MEN WANT TRADITIONAL FAMILIES- WE JUST WANT A FAMILY AND A HOUSE!! On and on-- I hate all this GEN Z vs Millennials vs. Boomer shit- but holy fuck, he could care less about ANYONE but himself., This is the problem.. It was kind of everything I read about Gen Z- ME ME ME... And he was really pressed on how men are looked at like enemies thanks to Democrats.

I am so burnt out and wish I could explain this loser more eloquently.

Anyway, I think young men are MASSIVELY behind Trump.. I do not see Democrats winning another election- ever- if there are elections. Unless their is a massive and seismic shift. And Jesus Christ- how many women did not vote? How many women voted against their own bodies?

In am done with humanity.

by Anonymousreply 51November 8, 2024 3:53 PM

I have to chuckle at people who carry on about Sanders. Had that man been the candidate in either 2016 or 2020, he would have lost. All the GOP would have to do is keep screaming "socialist" and he would wind up as the George McGovern of thar election.

And he's even OLDER than Biden!

by Anonymousreply 52November 8, 2024 4:03 PM

R48 we're not a monolith.

by Anonymousreply 53November 8, 2024 4:15 PM

Dems totally surrendered to women and women's issues. Men are brought up on sports where the object is to defeat your opponent; video games add to that. Dems are all about co-operation and understanding - feminine qualities. The Bros looked at this election like WWE. Trump was Thor; Harris was the enemy who needed to be crushed. She was...and they are very happy, because they obliterated the femmes.

by Anonymousreply 54November 8, 2024 4:34 PM

For Gen Z, everything must be perfect or it needs to be rejected. They are so delusional as to how the real works that their basic decision-making process is corrupted at its core.

Kamala couldn’t have kissed their ass harder but because the Biden administration funded Israel she had to be rejected.

My ex had a grown daughter, lazy as shit, with a college degree who needed to find a job during COVID. Never interested in doing anything with her degree he paid for. Mid twenties. We worked some connections to get her a job as a server at a nice restaurant. Good pay and location.

She just quit after a week. Why? Because they kept the doors open because of COVID for more airflow and she was too hot.

Yep. No job and money was better than one that wasn’t perfect.

These assholes will never be pleased with anything even if everything burns as a result.

The media and everyone else needs to stop the ass kissing and coddling and let them learn the hard lessons of life.

by Anonymousreply 55November 8, 2024 4:40 PM

R54 is right. This election was the revenge of the bros.

They have their own ecosystem of entertainment and 'thought leaders' and influencers and they are drawing on gaming culture, nerd culture, comedy, pranks, trolling, in ways that mainstream media holds its nose at but which Trump understands and captures..

This is the Nelk Brothers. Trump got them on his plane and laughed at this clip they showed him of them trolling Trump supporters and he put it on his own socials.

This is the reality of 21st century American politics. Democrats do not understand young non-liberal male online culture.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 56November 8, 2024 4:41 PM

Dems are seen as the soft bottoms gop are seen as the rough strong tops. And as R54 points out there are reasons for that.

BTW men and women who were brought up on sports were outraged to see men staring to wear a dress and start playing against girls.

This issue outraged a lot of people and many of them were not straights. And the GOP wisely took advantage and ran with it, It was a gift they used quite well.

by Anonymousreply 57November 8, 2024 4:42 PM

Everything for everybody that voted for the Fascist:

A war that will cause a draft to be enacted.

A ban on contraceptives for the young ones in college fucking.

The end of the internet being anonymous for the young guys.

Tiktok being clamped down on by the Christo-fascists because of non-wholesome content.

All non-whites being suspect or deported.

by Anonymousreply 58November 8, 2024 4:45 PM

R58 I am an old school Kennedy interventionist. I think supporting Ukraine is the right thing to do. I think we should have at least spec ops teams all over the world doing stuff. I am big on facing down Putin.

Trump and I do not agree.

But I am at least honest enough to see that my approach risks a wider war and trumps approach means the war in Ukraine will end very soon.

And trump is not going to order his military to go fight China. Or India or anyone else.

by Anonymousreply 59November 8, 2024 4:56 PM
Come 2020, there were many exciting people who were willing to run, including Sanders, who, frankly, deserved to be elected merely for the terror he would bring into the hearts of the GOP.

LMFAO, you cannot be serious. Bernie Sanders doesn't inspire fear, he inspires derision or laughter among many people, including many Dems. And his pie in the sky plans would have never passed, he has 0 working relationship with the senate. He is one of the most hated people there due to his lack of cooperation. Biden had an excellent relationship with the senate which is how he managed to get so much stuff passed, including Obamacare (along with Pelosi).

by Anonymousreply 60November 8, 2024 5:30 PM

GenZ males are stupid and are in for a big reckoning. I doubt there was anything the Dems could do to bring them onboard this cycle. Trump unfortunately had them in the bag.

Good luck on ever getting married and buying that 1st house guys! or ever making enough $ to keep your wife at home as a "Trad Wife". Trump ain't gonna make that happen.

by Anonymousreply 61November 8, 2024 6:01 PM

Gen Z girls are all into being Trad wives (traditional). They’re very conservative.

by Anonymousreply 62November 8, 2024 6:17 PM

R61I thought that 1500 point rise in the Dow his first day was a bad sign for Trump. Odd he and the country did not see it that way.

I refuse like many at DL to lose faith. With luck terrible things will still happen to the country and thus give the Dems a chance in the future.

by Anonymousreply 63November 8, 2024 6:18 PM

Many Gen Z girls were apathetic about voting because they listened to people like Chappel Roan or Greta Thunberg who were telling them that both sides are bad. Chappel may just be dumb and self absorbed, but my god, I can't stand that grim little cunt Thunberg and the people who treat her like the voice of her generation.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 64November 8, 2024 6:28 PM

R64, can you believe there is a mural of Greta out there? Stupid. She's just some spoiled special needs kid that was propped up by her rich parents. She now wants to lecture the world on what they should and shouldn't do.

by Anonymousreply 65November 8, 2024 6:40 PM

I think that GenZ will be feeling the pain more than anyone else out there, so this will work out quite well for them.

by Anonymousreply 66November 8, 2024 8:34 PM

Does anyone remember when Fox News ran piece after piece of liberals indoctrinating their precious children especially around the time of Obama's first and 2nd term?

Well it turns out that it was just another Republican confession in the form of an accusation, they were the ones indoctrinating the children and used social media and video games to do so. This election is a testament to that success, they successfully indoctrinated the youth and will continue to do so since it's been so easy for them without any resistance from the left. Covid probably had a lot to do with the radicalization as well, imagine a year with no contact with other children and only being stuck at home with your parents.

Democrats will continue to lose if they continue to play by the rules against an opponent who doesn't.

by Anonymousreply 67November 8, 2024 8:47 PM

R67 no I don’t remember that.

But then I don’t watch Fox News like the typical maga might. What other insight from your hours of Fox watching do you have?

We lost. We got beat. Our dem story did not sell. Our ticket did not sell. It was though a lovely ticket and a story of love. The other side was better. We got the shit beat out of us. And it was a beat down.

Stop with the excuse making,

Now I am watching waltz .

by Anonymousreply 68November 8, 2024 9:12 PM

by Anonymousreply 70November 8, 2024 9:17 PM

Fox News is awesome. I love it. Such good information.

by Anonymousreply 71November 8, 2024 9:23 PM

Sure as shit we were not doing any saving.

I think it was supposed to be the women, the blacks, the Hispanics , that would save us. Never GenZ. No one expected them to show up.

by Anonymousreply 72November 8, 2024 9:25 PM

Can we really blame a generation raised by smart phones, school shootings and the internet to be making bad choices?.........Yes, Yes we can but we should also be blaming their lazy parents (Gen X especially ) and boomers.

And guys feel free to bitch and vent or you'll end up like R68 . If we don't reflect now then when will we? We need drastic change and we need to prep ourselves and rethink how we go about issues like immigration, guns, and abortion.

R73, the future of the Democratic party--if it still exists by the time 2026 rolls around--is taking the a right wing turn, similar to what happened to Clinton after Newt Gingrich swept Congress in 1994.

by Anonymousreply 75November 8, 2024 10:09 PM

Gen Z is pretty Conservative. Just look at their attitudes towards sex. If their movies or TV shows have any sexual content or nudity, they'll throw a fit about how "unnecessary" it is and how it "doesn't advance the plot." And their belief that everything is "grooming" and "predatory." If you're 25 and date or fuck a 20-year-old, then you're a predator and pervert in their eyes.

Also, just recently, the singer Sabrina Carpenter, who is 25 years old, was performing on stage wearing some lingerie. Gen-Z people got on social media and complained about how there are children at her concerts and it's inappropriate for her to be doing sexual performances in front of them. One, it's the parents' fault for buying them tickets in the first place. And 2, the complainers sounded like they were about 85.

There is an entire subreddit dedicated to these whiny pathetic broccoli heads.

It is especially funny when you consider they're the ones who started r/BoomersBeingFools.

And are people really shocked that Gen Z went conservative? look at who their parents are. Their parents voted the most MAGA of them all.

by Anonymousreply 79November 8, 2024 10:51 PM

My son is Gen Z and is very liberal, as are all of his close friends (grew up in Austin and earned a degree from American University, a very liberal university) and has been very despondent this week. I don’t know what to tell him to make it better, except that I will pay for him to go to grad school in the UK. He said today that he doesn’t want to have kids and raise them in America. That breaks my heart.

by Anonymousreply 80November 8, 2024 11:28 PM

"Of course, I voted for Trump! I am all about conservative Christian values!"

by Anonymousreply 81November 8, 2024 11:46 PM

Sorry to hear that, R80.

Sending good thoughts to you and your son.

Guys -listen to the entie video- Curious what you think-- The COMMENTS of the video will kill you. THESE PEOPLE ARE THE DUMBEST LOSERS IN EXISTENCE THROUGHOUT ALL TIME, SPACE, and REALITY-

Here's just one gem--

I feel like Trump’s win was a major tipping point in our society and I think things are going to shift back towards human goodness and sanity. Thank you to everyone who loves this country and rose above the lies and propaganda that have been shoved down our throats for years now!

These comments are actually quite telling-

TRUMP here and ready to start living again. I feel I can be proud to be America again BEN! I am GEN X and this was my first time voting in 15 years. Because I couldn’t take it no more I could see that we were being destroyed, and I wanted to save it.

by Anonymousreply 87November 9, 2024 2:21 AM

They can’t even write their own fucking names.

I appreciate that - thank you.

by Anonymousreply 89November 9, 2024 3:48 AM

At least they'll never pay off their student loans or own a house!

by Anonymousreply 90November 9, 2024 5:37 AM

Bingo, R90.

They won't have a future.

Even those with money won't have a future because they won't have a country any more.

GenZ just voted it away on November 5.

Isn't being a sex kitten her whole shtick? Madonna did it first and better.

They can stick to TSwift if they want wholesome and sexless.

R88 a great observation there anonymous

by Anonymousreply 93November 9, 2024 10:02 AM

This election was the fault of two generations, Gen X and Gen Z. They can both fuck right off.

by Anonymousreply 94November 9, 2024 10:11 AM

Democrats showing today how much they hope American now fails and putting the blame for dem election failure on absolutely everyone but themselves.

by Anonymousreply 95November 9, 2024 10:16 AM

Drop dead, R95.

Fucking MAGAT cunt.

Preferably in a horrible grease fire.

by Anonymousreply 97November 9, 2024 10:21 AM

I’ll be dead, but it’s fun thinking about them digging their shitty American-made possessions out of yet another “once in a century” but weekly hurricane or tornado. Or dying of thirst in that next drought. Just how big can I make my carbon footprint? Maybe I’ll start rolling coal.

by Anonymousreply 98November 9, 2024 10:36 AM

This BBC interview between a GenX mother and her GenZ daughters is interesting.

Sounds like the mother is a full on MAGAT, and the daughters don't like Trump.

by Anonymousreply 100November 10, 2024 5:06 AM

These wedge threads are being started by fat snouted loser Defacto to try to divide the liberal people on this forum. Don’t fall for it. What happened happened, and we need everyone to start our comeback — Gen x, Gen z, Latinos, and everyone else the ugly incel is demanding we attack.

by Anonymousreply 101November 10, 2024 5:25 AM

I'm not usually interested in the generation game, but I do find today's crop of 20 somthings a bit odd. It's hard to try and sum it up, but they seem to lack much "cause and effect" thinking. They tend to react very emotionally to whatever "effect" catches their attention, without even realising there are causes.

It really struck me when I watched Caleb Hammer's Financial Audit podcast, some of the guests in their 20's seem intelligent enough, while also completely devoid of any concept of consequences. Watching Caleb walk them through their financial mess and explain how exactly their actions caused the problem is fascinating. They know how to react to a problem with guilt, fear or anger but have no idea how to analyse it and come up with a plan.

P.S. - Caleb's a bit of a tough love type but seems to be well intentioned

R101 clearly missed the part of the November 5 election, where all those groups you listed, voted overwhelmingly for TRUMP.

Honey, there's no need to divide anyone here.

They've all left already, to join the Republican Party.

The Democrats have been abandoned.

The lights are off. The party is over. Everyone went home.

It's Republican Rule from now on, thanks to all of these fucking traitors.

by Anonymousreply 103November 10, 2024 7:43 AM

Someone posted this in the Nancy Pelosi thread, and I had to repost it here, because it was completely applicable to this topic:
Brutally speaking, there has not been any war that has raked through the population of young men that shows them the brutality and horror of life. Instead, we have the ideal young man in his 20s and 30's, a preened, self-absorbed peacock

To which I replied:

[bold]EXACTLY.

This generation doesn't know suffering.

They've had it easy their entire lives.

Trump's second term will change that.

It'll be a wake-up call that they never saw coming.[/bold]

by Anonymousreply 104November 10, 2024 7:49 AM

How old are you, R104?

by Anonymousreply 105November 10, 2024 7:50 AM

To the Democrats' surprise, Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 election was fueled partially by sweeping support from Gen-Z.

ABC's Gio Benitez reports.

Gen Z people don't know ANYTHING because they hve never voluntarily watched any news program ever.

by Anonymousreply 107November 10, 2024 11:30 AM

Gaza was not important to GenZ or they all would have voted for Kamala. Trump is a crude racist who likes crude racist things like bombing Gaza.

by Anonymousreply 108November 10, 2024 11:54 AM

Gen Z are so stupid they probably don't care that they fell for the lies of 7 billionaires who want them dead.

by Anonymousreply 109November 10, 2024 11:55 AM

R102

My 22-year old son opened an IRA without even telling us. He doesn’t put much money in it yet but I’m really proud of him - I was a flake financially in my 20s.

by Anonymousreply 110November 10, 2024 12:21 PM

Let's hope he doesn't take after your generation, R110.

by Anonymousreply 111November 10, 2024 12:22 PM

Why wouldn't he tell you, R110?

Why the secrecy?

by Anonymousreply 112November 10, 2024 2:50 PM

R112 many 22 years olds are actually adults that open IRAs without the parents help or with telling their parents.

Good for him

by Anonymousreply 113November 10, 2024 9:52 PM

lol Gen X are the new villains for the youngins

Oh noooooo

How can we deal with the same amount of abuse and disdain and disregard we've encountered

by Anonymousreply 114November 10, 2024 10:01 PM

I feel like only millenials and maybe young Gen Xers are the only people that know that everything you see or read on the internet ain’t real.

by Anonymousreply 115November 10, 2024 10:49 PM

The youth will not save us. It will be weeks—months!—before the Democratic Party finishes the autopsy of this destroyed coalition, but one thing is already clear: Gen Z, particularly Gen Z men, is a whole lot more right-leaning than a lot of us thought. A Tufts University analysis of voter surveys found that 56 percent of men between the ages of 18 and 29 voted for Trump.

Biden won that same demographic by 6 points last cycle. Other exit-poll analyses depict a more complicated picture, with young people voting for each candidate at relatively equal margins, but that is still a far cry from the overwhelming numbers put up by young people for Obama, Kerry, and Gore. It was a rude awakening for many Democrats. The assumptions that they long held about the denizens of America’s future—that they would reflexively vote left, no matter what—were simply not true in 2024. And for some millennials, that amounts to a betrayal.

“Gen z gotta be the worst generation of all time,” wrote one aggrieved Kamala backer on Twitter, in the aftermath of her defeat. “Can’t read, can’t write, can’t add, can’t fuck, can’t joke, can’t dance, can’t dress, can’t drink, can’t smoke, can’t not elect a fascist conman.”

Others took a slightly different tack, adopting the language of generational warfare—targeting, for the first time, the zoomers in their wake, rather than the boomers in the distance. “Crazy how Millennials were the only ones to learn how to use computers and we apparently are also the only ones who learned to see through disinformation,” added Dylan, an additional member of the social media commentariat, clearly horrified by the disfiguration of his caucus.

A third poster put it more succinctly: “Zoomers going right is one of the most depressing things about this election. … For now it’s hard to feel like we aren’t gonna be locked in hell for the rest of our lives.”

It went on and on like this in the hours after Trump’s second ascendancy. There is always a search for a scapegoat after a decisive political defeat, because in those moments, every decision a losing candidate made is naturally magnified as the reason for their downfall. And it is true that the media has long believed that the youngest voters in the country would naturally be just as progressive as their predecessors. Gen Z will “change the world,” said Time in 2018, while a Newsweek contributor claimed that the up-and-coming generation was “uniquely dangerous to Republicans.”

That optimism was obviously misplaced. The conservative movement, at least within its terminally online meme-wars wing, has largely become the party of men who feel as though they’ve been marginalized by a society turned against them. And that includes young men. (A tweet last week by Stephen Miller, one of the wormiest members of the first Trump regime, calling Zyn-puckered boys to the polls en masse was a particularly unseemly omen of what was to come.)

But frankly, from my vantage point, this realignment hasn’t taught me anything I didn’t already know about young people—and it especially hasn’t caused me to believe that Gen Z is uniquely corroded or propagandized or even all that materially different from the fresh-faced millennials we once were.

The election of Trump reminds me that members of the youth, regardless of generation, are idealistic, impulsive, and uniquely susceptible to messaging that heralds them as a force that can change the world. That was certainly true when I watched Obama blow out McCain under the aegis of the artist Stephen Fairey.

And I imagine that that was also true of the boys mainlining a noxious YouTube diet of Charlie Kirk and Ben Shapiro, who have drilled into them the idea that a vote for Trump is a vote for an assertion of their dignity—that they may remake America in their image, that the world will once again lie at their feet. It is a grim, faulty promise, but a promise nonetheless.

There i s only one way to stop all this and quickly. That's to find a way to take down the billionaire class. Let's think of creative ways to do it. Remember there is such a shortage of intelligence and talent on the right that they can't replace ANY losses.

by Anonymousreply 117November 13, 2024 7:16 AM

These splitter threads are 100% Defacto trying to increase the squabbling amongst democrats after the election.

I hope he reinstates those cancelled student loans. It's only fair to others who had to pay theirs.

by Anonymousreply 119November 13, 2024 7:21 AM

We’re being asked to tell Gen Zs to go fuck themselves when they voted for Harris in higher percentages than any other generation.

Checks out.

by Anonymousreply 120November 13, 2024 7:23 AM
We’re being asked to tell Gen Zs to go fuck themselves when they voted for Harris in higher percentages than any other generation.

That is absolute bullshit. More MAGA lies!

The numbers tell the truth.

WHITE VOTERS 18 to 29 - Trump 49%, Harris 49% BLACK VOTERS 18 to 29 - Trump 15%, Harris 84% LATINO VOTERS 18 to 29 - Trump 47%, Harris 49%

MEN 18 to 29 - Trump 49%, Harris 47% WOMEN 18 to 29 - Trump 37%, Harris 61%

So who stood by the Democratic Party?

BLACK VOTERS and WOMEN.

White GenZ men voted Trump.

The only reason GenZ "evened out" with the Trump/Harris 49/49 is because BLACK VOTERS and FEMALES tipped the scale to make it even.

If you count only white male GenZ voters? They favored Trump.
