The only way this would actually be negative for his chances would be if you assume that there would be some backlash which would drive the Dem candidate into office which, based on this election outcome, is a dubious assumption.

Yeah, in the aftermath of this election, Ron’s odds of being president are as good as Kamala Harris. And I think I’d give Bobby Kennedy pretty decent odds of being the Republican standard bearer in ‘28, unless, that is, Vance hasn’t already succeeded to the presidency.
