MAGAt explains why she voted for Trump

From Facebook:

I have a lot of friends who voted for Kamala and are very upset with the election results. With love, I offer you my perspective of what’s happened. I was as upset 4 years ago. I was equally worried about the future of our country, which I love so much. And here is my understanding of why Kamala lost. First of all, this has absolutely nothing to do with her gender or the color of her skin. This is about the direction in which the Democratic party has been trying to steer our country. The thing is, a lot of us, Americans, are not ok with it.

We want to secure our borders for the very same reason you lock the house you live in. You don’t want people entering at will. We don’t want drag queens reading stories to our children. We don’t like our sons to be told that “the future is female,” implying they have a limited place in it. We don’t want our daughters to share bathrooms and locker rooms with men. We don’t want men competing against women in sports. We don’t want to see “tuck friendly” swim suits for toddlers (!!!???) in Target. We don't want our children to be confused because of all this "pronouns" craze.

A lot of us believe in God and don’t like to be perceived as archaic and uneducated for it. We value the concept of a family very highly and really would like to preserve family values as we know them. The modern ideas of “polyamory,” using abortion as contraception, gender fluidity, and the likes are foreign to us, and we reject them.

We like the idea of capitalism and don’t want to get punished with higher taxes for working harder, trying to get ahead for our families. We want social programs to orient people towards becoming financially stable, instead of comfortable with life-long subsidies. We want the ideology of personal responsibility, and not pointing fingers at more successful people for “keeping” you down to explain why you’re STAYING down.

We don’t want “Big Brother” who knows best to tell us we “don’t need an AR-15” and disarm us as a population because bad guys will always have weapons, and we need to be able to protect our families if necessary.

Do all of us like Trump as a human being? Absolutely not. But we agree with his policies and understanding of where America should be headed.

But ya ARE, Blanche. Ya ARE!

by Anonymousreply 3November 7, 2024 11:44 PM

Christian nationalist scum.

by Anonymousreply 4November 7, 2024 11:46 PM

Who the fuck is this person?

by Anonymousreply 5November 8, 2024 12:01 AM

Kamala was super churchy and Christian and employed the golden rule and beatitudes. Enjoy your orange antichrist I guess.

by Anonymousreply 6November 8, 2024 12:08 AM

This is a false choice fallacy if there ever was one.

by Anonymousreply 7November 8, 2024 12:10 AM

She sounds genuine but when will it become clear to her that Trump lies all the time. This shopping list she has will not be delivered by Trump - Project 2025 will be and that’s one of the truly alarming things she and all the others who voted for Trump have unleashed.

by Anonymousreply 8November 8, 2024 12:12 AM

It doesn't sound genuine. It reads like a meme circulating on Truth Social.

by Anonymousreply 9November 8, 2024 12:14 AM

I agree R9. Sounds like AI trying to be a MAGA frau.

by Anonymousreply 10November 8, 2024 12:16 AM

Character MATTERS bitch. So Trump gets to say and do anything he wants, yet you loathe drag queens? They’re a bigger problem and he’s not, while he erodes the country bit by bit with his garbage? You don’t like Trump and yet you voted for him, knowing full well of his handiwork in his first term. If the letter is for real, sounds like a typical, stupid Republican who is incapable of critical thinking and the far reaching consequences of their vote.

Those 'Christians' are all Roman Pagans hurrying on their way to put a pinch of incense on the altar for Caesar.

by Anonymousreply 12November 8, 2024 12:19 AM

Like it or not, question its accuracy or morality, but that does correctly state why many people voted for Trump.

by Anonymousreply 13November 8, 2024 12:25 AM

Because they're stupid, Rose.

by Anonymousreply 14November 8, 2024 12:29 AM

Jesus would whip Trump like a money lender

by Anonymousreply 15November 8, 2024 12:31 AM

100%, R12.

by Anonymousreply 16November 8, 2024 12:35 AM

dumb bitch doesn't seem too concerned with the economy. seems more put off by the transgender crap.

by Anonymousreply 17November 8, 2024 5:20 AM

The US economy is right now the best in the world. It's the distribution of wealth they're unhappy about, but the silly fucks don't understand that if that's their issue they should have been voting for Bernie all these years.

I worked for years in government policy, which meant there were certain issues I knew about from all the angles.

Most ordinary citizens I talked to would have an issue and say, "Why aren't they solving that?" When I started to tell them the reasons there was no easy or quick fix, they either tuned out or shouted at me. That's the essential MAGA voter, but also an even larger chunk of the public. They believe that everything can be reduced to "this is the right thing to do" and "this is the wrong", without having any clue about differing social perspectives, what it would cost, what science tells us on the subject, how doing what they think is an easy fix would stymie other issues they are interested in, etc. It's not that they don't know, it's that they don't WANT to know. They want to cling to the belief that every problem has a simple solutions and anyone who isn't giving them what they want is just incompetent or bad.

by Anonymousreply 18November 8, 2024 7:11 AM

TL;DR version...
I'm a conservative (even though I may not subscribe to that label) and I voted for the conservative candidate.
Whether or not that was a genuine Facebook post, it is clearly a cut and paste job from some right-wing website. No woman sitting in her living room sat down and penned that screed. (Especially about wanting to have a machine gun to defend herself).

by Anonymousreply 20November 8, 2024 9:34 AM

When she read her bible, I guess she forgot about The False Prophet.

She must be of with a President calling people idiots while he shits his pants onstage.

by Anonymousreply 21November 8, 2024 9:49 AM

Gotta love how they criticize others for judging them based on their religion and in the same paragraph they "reject" others who live differently.

Also, I hate to break it to you, but polyamory and gender fluidity are not 'modern ideas'.
