There's no bulk blocking mechanism You have to do the one by one. I find that desktop is more effective than mobile.

Doesn't work with the sock puppets we have. Blocking posts is a better option if your upset is topic-based. You may ve able to cartch some of them, but you'll never catch all of them.

I think most DataLoungers have no other outlet to express their political opinions and concerns. DL started out Gay Gossip and Pointless Bitchery, but has devolved into general commentary. Like how Miss Manners started out about etiquette advice, but that niche has morphed into "life advice".

I put threads on block for a long time, but I realized the long-term bad actors around here make it easy to spot them, and it's been peaceful blocking individuals. I won't say how I know it's working, but it's more peaceful. It does require constant nipping in the bud, though.

I don't mind most of the bitchery here, but I do mind when it crosses the line to abuse and endless obsessions.

My power to block posts/posters permanently maxed out, so now I just play a game of skimming every thread title and tap button for "blocking" as soon as I come to the words trump, Biden, Harris, election etc. Its not much but it helps.
