So what will happen to the economy, what is your prediction of what the economy will be under Trump?

Are we heading into a future recession and economic downturn or an economic boom with a decrease in inflation?

by Anonymousreply 13November 7, 2024 4:48 PM

Same thing that happens every time the GOP gains control. They pull levers that create short term boosts to the economy - ie: de-regulation, lower taxes on corporations and wealthy, etc etc.

It's like letting rich toddlers eat all the cake and candy they want. (Some of the poors even get more crumbs!)

Then when things go south, (Dotcom bubble, 2008 collapse, Covid deficit) they tuck their gains away safely and let a democrat come in and clean up the vomit.

The stock market will soar, because the people who like to buy stocks will suddenly decide the future's so bright they gotta wear shades.

The economy will be overheated with his tax cuts and deregulation, which will create a prosperity mirage heading into the midterms. After that, his tariffs will start biting and create economic headwinds. Just in time for a Dem president to have to clean it up. As always.

All those abuelas who voted for him will be fucked beyond belief, that much is certain and I am totally here for it.

You know all that pain that Bidenomics prevented from happening, well it is on the way.

The Fox/OAN/Newsmax/RT propaganda machine has been bad-mouthing an excellent economy and Biden recovery.

Trump is going to state he inherited a shaky economy, crash it, and put us through all the pain Biden avoided.

Then, like all Republicans, they are going to start the process to kill Obamacare, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security itself.

Trump is not a Republican. Taking away rights is what White Supremacists do, he just wants our cash.

Never forget that he is cruel, and cruelty isn't the method, it is the goal.

We are doomed as a country if Democrats do not flip the House, because goodbye 2028 Midterm elections.

so what stocks should we buy?

I know they said cryto will gain and it has

i'm guessing oil and gas stocks coz he will deregulate

by Anonymousreply 7November 7, 2024 2:16 PM

Not stocks. Open a Treasury Direct account. T-Bills and US Bonds.

But once the Stock Markets crash, 20%, we are in for high mortgage rates and higher interest rates.

How are the financial markets going to crash themselves this time? Last time they killed the entire Savings and Loan sector.

Credit Unions? Go ask the derided Pocahontas.

When Trump and Musk crash the economy in 2025: Trump voters are going to blame Democrats for that too.

by Anonymousreply 9November 7, 2024 2:43 PM

That is why we have to be prepared.

Make sure you talk to your financial advisor, and start planning to be in a defensive position. Otherwise, you could be in trouble.

Mergers and acquisitions followed by layoffs and recession.
