Susan Collins saw a huge drop in her usual margin of victory in 2020, after winning by a landslide in 2014. She's potentially beatable next time but it's still a lot of work to beat someone as entrenched as she is. It depends on how unpopular Trump is by 2026 and who the Democrats choose as their nominee, as R2 said.

The Dems need to adopt more moderate approach and they need to start putting more focus on the moderate Members of Congress and stop putting AOC in the spotlight. Many people will never adopt progressive political beliefs.
