I am reading Project 2025, who's with me?
I want to understand this particular boogeyman called the "Mandate for Leadership" since it looks like this will be Trump's playbook. It's a relatively easy read, just lengthy. Has anyone already read it?
Interesting Start:
[quote]Equally important, the President must enforce the Constitution and laws as written, rather than proclaiming new “law” unilaterally. Presidents should not issue mask or vaccine mandates, arbitrarily transfer student loan debt, or issue monarchical mandates of any sort. Legislatures make the laws in a republic, not executives.

The GOP has been playing a long game since the Reagan Administration. Tony Kushner alluded to as much in "Angels in America." The fact that they were organized enough to HAVE a Project 2025 is how they won. They had a plan and stuck to it.

Hopefully, it ends up being a work of fiction and just someone's wet dream that doesn't become reality.
Besides the obvious fears for the economy and rights:
I fear for the environment.
I fear for climate change initiatives.
I fear for healthcare.

Ha ha ha! Yes, until the legislatures are run by Democrats - then all of a sudden the executives seem to get all the power again. (It was Republicans who came up with unitary executive theory after all.)
