Post ANY good news from the election here, no matter how small

In California, Proposition 3 passed:

[quote]Amends California Constitution to recognize fundamental right to marry, regardless of sex or race. Removes language in California Constitution stating that marriage is only between a man and a woman.

In other words, it undoes Prop 8 from about 15 years ago, which wrote the man/woman stuff into the state Constitution, and more firmly establishes same-sex and interracial marriage in California. Ridiculous it needs to be said, but I think most gays and lesbians in red states would like such reassurance in their state Constitution.

That's all I got. Anything positive happen in your state, city, village, or burg?

I'm in Massachussetts. All of my state's propositions that I was voting for passed. We rehired Elizabeth Warren for Senate, and we retained James McGovern in the House. Being a solidly deep blue state, it's not a huge surprise victory, but it feels good to be among like-minded folk coming together to vote for progress.
