Many people didn't vote FOR Trump

They voted AGAINST wokism.

The wokes got Trump elected.

by Anonymousreply 77November 7, 2024 7:44 AM

They voted against immigration and inflation first and foremost, two top issues in practically all the surveys.

by Anonymousreply 1November 6, 2024 7:35 PM

Exactly. This really wasn't about Trump or Harris. This was a total rejection of and huge middle finger to wokeness, DEI, cancel culture, identity politics, toxic masculinity, the mainstream media, Hollywood.

by Anonymousreply 2November 6, 2024 7:36 PM

You little boring bitch troll from hell.

by Anonymousreply 3November 6, 2024 7:37 PM

R1 is correct: this was mostly about inflation and immigration.

by Anonymousreply 4November 6, 2024 7:52 PM

R2, if white male grievance isn't identity politics, I don't know what is.

by Anonymousreply 5November 6, 2024 7:54 PM

Say it as much as you fucking want, the polls don't say it. Young people aren't as woke as we thought and they were all concerned about crypto and the economy and all this other bullshit. Fuck you and your bigotry.

Also: fuck you for being so stupid by getting played by a wedge issue, Carl Rove style. If you aren't a MAGAT, you're not better than one.

by Anonymousreply 6November 6, 2024 7:57 PM

by Anonymousreply 7November 6, 2024 7:57 PM

R2, well then they are stupid because inflation has gone down this year, thanks to Biden policies. It's at its lowest since early 2021.

Sorry, I meant to reply to R1 in the above.

Fascist OP! Your words are literally murder of my two spirit selfhood! My indigenous rage shall thunder in the face of your patriarchy ! I shall shave the sides of my head and color what hair's left on top deep pink to reflect my labial fury! [Continues in this vein for some time]

by Anonymousreply 10November 6, 2024 8:07 PM

r8 It's slowed down, but what people want (and will never, ever get) is deflation, i.e. prices falling to pre-pandemic levels.

by Anonymousreply 11November 6, 2024 8:11 PM

I detest the Democrats with their WIDE OPEN BORDERS and WOKE/TRANS lunacy so I did not vote for the cackling hyena but not enough to make me vote for Trump whom I consider a buffoon. Kamala is a bit of a buffoon too. So I voted for no one.

by Anonymousreply 12November 6, 2024 8:12 PM

Troll OP

Troll thread

by Anonymousreply 13November 6, 2024 8:12 PM

If that were true, and it’s possibly a facet, why were all Trump attack ads focused on the economy with only a small subset focused on trans people?

by Anonymousreply 14November 6, 2024 8:12 PM

It's because of YOU there's a Trump in our midst and my wife is dead!

Grampy McGramperson, his face a mask of disapproval, stood defiantly on his porch, shaking his fist at the wind. The wind howled and whipped around him, seemingly mocking his outrage. "Woke! Woke! Woke!" he bellowed, his voice cracking with age and fury. He blamed the wind for carrying the insidious tendrils of "wokeness" into his pristine town, corrupting the youth and disrespecting tradition. The wind, of course, remained indifferent, carrying his cries away into the vast, uncaring expanse of the world.

by Anonymousreply 17November 6, 2024 8:14 PM

The Dems lost their way. Betting on woke and trans agenda, letting in over 10 million illegals, some criminals, defunding police, letting criminals go free, raising taxes during an inflation, funding 2 wars and the fact that no one can afford anything is why we have 4 more years of Trump.

I blame the democrats. They ran against Trump and away from the policies.

by Anonymousreply 18November 6, 2024 8:29 PM

Ignore the trolls proliferating here today.

by Anonymousreply 19November 6, 2024 8:35 PM

The woke democrats turned me off voting democratic. That's how I saw that stupid Harris person.

by Anonymousreply 20November 6, 2024 8:43 PM

The Dems will now move to the right. The progressive wing will be silenced. It's going to be the same thing that happened to Clinton and the Dems after Gingrich swept the house.

I'd like to hear more about how Harris-Walz's campaign was "centered" around trans and woke bullshit, grumpy. This should be fun.

by Anonymousreply 23November 6, 2024 8:48 PM

[quote]why were all Trump attack ads focused on the economy with only a small subset focused on trans people?

Doesn't seem all that small to me:

"From Oct. 7 to Oct. 20, Trump’s campaign and pro-Trump groups spent an estimated $95 million on ads, more than 41 percent of which were anti-trans."

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 24November 6, 2024 8:50 PM

R23, people who say crap like that are just going off of "vibes". Most of the criticisms of Walz and Harris are about vibes, not reality.

by Anonymousreply 25November 6, 2024 8:52 PM

To a degree, that’s true. Crime has people outraged and Democrats making excuses and even encouraging it is unacceptable. They stood back while they were ripping down statues and robbing stores. Americans are tired of the left telling them how evil America is and how evil they are. And white America and men are tired of people scapegoated. They had no reason to vote for Democrats as Democrats have turned their backs on them.

by Anonymousreply 26November 6, 2024 8:53 PM

*being scapegoated

by Anonymousreply 27November 6, 2024 8:53 PM

MAGATs still said it was the economy in exit polling. You hate trans and woke so much that you can't see it was just a contributing factor, not the deciding factor. Grumpy has a hard time getting that their worldview doesn't have the same priorities as others.

by Anonymousreply 28November 6, 2024 8:54 PM

[quote] why were all Trump attack ads focused on the economy with only a small subset focused on trans people?

What??! They played the They/Them, Kamala wants boys in girls locker rooms, and other ads on a loop.

by Anonymousreply 29November 6, 2024 8:54 PM

This is this troll's only post on this account.

Don't feed it.

by Anonymousreply 30November 6, 2024 8:54 PM

This could be true…

by Anonymousreply 31November 6, 2024 8:55 PM

R39, they also said the border. Wake the fuck up. Americans want mass deportations.

by Anonymousreply 32November 6, 2024 8:55 PM

[quote]If that were true, and it’s possibly a facet, why were all Trump attack ads focused on the economy with only a small subset focused on trans people?

The "Kamala supports taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners" ad played literally every 5 minutes in PA.

by Anonymousreply 33November 6, 2024 8:56 PM

You old queens can think whatever you want about how activism is organized, but it's not going to change to fit your antiquated views. Maybe it's just better to be quiet and hold your views, unless you have a humiliation fetish to tend to.

by Anonymousreply 34November 6, 2024 8:58 PM

1. Americans love their country and want it to be the best in the world. America is a nation of people who conquered a continent. They love strength. They love winning. Any leader who appeals to that has an automatic advantage.

2. Unlike Europeans, Americans have not accepted managed decline. They don't have Net Zero here, they believe in producing their own energy and making it as cheap as possible because they know that their prosperity depends on it.

3. Prices for most basic goods in the US have increased rapidly and are sky high. What the official statistics say about inflation and the reality of people's lives are not the same.

4. Unlike you, Americans do not believe in socialism. They believe in meritocracy. They don't care about the super rich being super rich because they know that they live in a country where being super rich is available to anyone with the talent and drive to make it. They don't resent success, they celebrate it.

5. Americans are the most pro-immigration people in the world. Read that again. Seriously, read it again. Americans love an immigrant success story. They want more talented immigrants to come to America. But they refuse to accept people coming illegally. They believe in having a border.

6. Americans are sensitive about racial issues and their country's imperfect history. They believe that those who are disadvantaged by the circumstances of their birth should be given the opportunity to succeed. What they reject, however, is the idea that in order to address the errors of the past new errors must be made. DEI is racist. They know it and they reject it precisely because they are not racist.

7. Americans are the most philosemitic nation on earth. October 7 and the pro-Hamas left's reaction shocked them to their very core because, among other things, they remember what 9/11 was like and they know jihad when they see it.

8. Americans are extremely practical people. They care about what works, not what sounds good. In Europe, we produce great writers and intellectuals. In America they produce (and attract) great engineers, businessmen and investors. Because of this, they care less about Trump's rhetoric than you do and more about his policies than you do.

9. Americans are deeply optimistic people. They hate negativity. The woke view of American history as a series of evils for which they must eternally apologise is utterly abhorrent to them. They believe in moving forward together, not endlessly obsessing about the past.

10. America is a country whose founding story is one of resistance to government overreach. They loathe unnecessary restrictions, regulations and control. They understand that freedom comes with the price of self-reliance and they pay it gladly.

A self-appoiinted Alexis de Tocqueville, r35.

However, it's cheap sentiment that can be directional advice, but can't be taken to the bank. It's not specific, it's not measurable, and much of your post is WIDE open for interpretation, ignores the insane amount of experiential diversity in the US, and seems more informed by anecdotal experience....or narration from some TV show or podcast.

by Anonymousreply 36November 6, 2024 9:05 PM

R35 is a series of tweets written by British Russian Konstantin Kisin

Yes, that explains their embrace of the unbridled optimism of Donald Trump.

R28 It's not just MAGAs who voted for Trump. Many people who hate Trump voted for him because they hate wokism even more.

by Anonymousreply 39November 6, 2024 9:32 PM

Link, please, or are you just pleased enough with your own opinions that you don't consider them anecdotal?

I'm only tangling with your cuntery so people see, in action, how committed you are to HATE.

Woke is over. The colleges will start closing departments that push woke studies, Mark my words!

by Anonymousreply 41November 6, 2024 10:12 PM

This loon thinks there's actual woke studies departments. Women's Studies departments and similar existed way before all this made-up woke nonsense became part of the national conversation. Why are you so fragile, r41? Are you afraid that your ideas will be shot down by people who are smarter than you? We already know the answer.

by Anonymousreply 42November 6, 2024 10:17 PM

In order words, OP, they're just like you.

They voted for Trump to stop the browning of. America-that’s it

by Anonymousreply 48November 6, 2024 10:28 PM

How many of these identical fucking threads about "woke" are we going to have to have? This is like the 100th identical thread I've seen in the past 24 hours of post-election DL meltdowns.

Inflation, immigration, racism and promised cruelty to other people who aren't exactly like them (i.e. minorities which is us gays) is why the American majority voted for Trump.

by Anonymousreply 49November 6, 2024 10:33 PM

We're not taking your bait and piling on trans people.

B. S. Most of them never see anyone from South of the Border, and they have plenty of money to afford cruises and trips to Disney.

by Anonymousreply 62November 6, 2024 11:23 PM

I just want the broader left of the political spectrum to stop falling on its collective sword for tiny (self)interest groups.

Stop being guilt tripped into spending all our political capital on one endangered swamp frog, or seven trans athletes or some bullshit artist claiming to be racially harassed.

Focus on broader issues like workers rights and trade unions, clean waterways, improving public utilities, clean energy etc.

by Anonymousreply 66November 7, 2024 1:42 AM

Dems need to take a very deep look at themselves, their party, and what they stand for... and get some common sense.

by Anonymousreply 67November 7, 2024 1:56 AM

As opposed to a party that elects the instigator traitor of January 6, R67?

by Anonymousreply 68November 7, 2024 2:02 AM

Answer the question, cunt R67.

by Anonymousreply 69November 7, 2024 2:04 AM

R63, every damn thing you listed in the last sentence of your post is anathema to the Republican Party. They've been against everthing single thing you itemized and will actively seek to abolish and eliminate every one of your bullet points.

As long as they hold all the cards like they do now, Democrats can run on them as much as they want and the Republicans will continue to shoot them down.

by Anonymousreply 70November 7, 2024 2:18 AM

No answer from cunt R67, who likes traitors.
