Ditto, OP. As much as I don’t like the idea of adopting a ‘fuck everyone’ mindset, I feel it’s inevitable now. I resisted doing it when HRC lost in 2016 because I figured maybe people didn’t realize how shitty everything was going to be under a trump presidency. I did volunteer work, donated to food banks and human rights causes, etc. But now there are no excuses. Fuck the people who didn’t vote and ESPECIALLY fuck the ones who voted for this asshole with full knowledge of how awful he is.

This morning I went to CVS to get Bronkaid because the election gave me an ASTHMA ATTACK. I approach an old guy to ask if he was waiting in line. Lo and behold he's wearing a Maga hat. Please god, not here not now.

He says "yes, but you can go ahead if you need to" but I had already turned away. He continues to talk to me. I fold my arms and look away. He's starting to panic. He reaches out for a handshake and says "we can work together". I stare at his hand like it's an assault rifle. Glaring, I spit "NEVER" and turn my head. He keeps mumbling things, I say "stop talking to me". As he gets called to the register his final salvo is "I did two tours of duty in Viet Nam". Then he complains to pharmacy lady about my awfulness, pharmacy lady is sympathetic. On the way out he tips his hat to me and says "have a nice day". Pharmacy lady is abrupt with me.

I realized how easy it would be to provoke this sad man into a fight and part of me was up for it. But I think my way was better.
